Found this Gem of a place because my normal bakery wasn't able to accommodate me with a cake for my girls graduation party. So I did what an normal person does and cake to Yelp to find a recommended bakery near my house since I literally had to drive over an hour without traffic to my previous bakery. That being said I got a 8in tres leches chocolate tiered cake with fresh strawberries for $30 and they made it for me on short notice! Everyone loved this cake except for the birthday boy. He didn't like the wet texture of the tres leches. He said it was soggy. All the other six year olds cleaned their plate though. All in all the cake turned out great. This was $45, it's considered the large. Had tons of leftovers. read more

Romo's bakery is my favorite bakery ever. Their tres leches cake and tamales are one of the best in country. I have been to many other bakeries where the cakes are not moist enough or are too moist but Romos Bakery bakes their desserts to perfection. This place is good and the pan dulce is bigger than any other place ive been to for a cheap decent price. The only thing i ddnt like was that they charged me almost $8 for a small fresas con crema. It looked like they just gave me a random price because they didn't even know the price when i was at the register. It was good, different from the way other places make it but this place is trying to make money in the wrong way. The lady behind the counter was super helpful. She assisted me in any of my requests. The part I didn't like was that I called ahead and no one answered the phone. The reason I was calling is because I was shopping for a strawberry cake. I know these aren't usually prepared without notice. I didn't want to waste time going if they didn't have it. I did go and they had chocolate cake and tres leches cake but no strawberry. She said they need 3 days notice to make it. Something that would have been good to know over the phone.
