This place was pretty far in Oxnard for us coming from Ventura, but it was not a deal breaker. It is extremely tiny, and if you have never been to a panaderia, you might have zero idea what you're doing in there. When we went, nobody helped us, they just stared at us which wasn't super helpful. We only went to their shop based off of their social media and how amazing things looked. I had hoped that someone that put in that much effort to their social media, would put in some effort into their customer service, but that was not the case. There was quite a bit of pan options, and they were a lot of the normal ones you see or would expect to see. I didn't really see anything that was crazy or unique. We did get quite a few to try, and they were all tasty, but nothing exceptional. They also make tamales, which I was really excited about. The meat was very delicious, but they use way too much masa. It was actually mostly masa which was disappointing. Their drinks still do look really good, but I didn't want to try everything all at once. However, based off of the things I did try, I don't think I'll be back to try this. Even if they are really good.

Went driving around in the morning looking for another panadaria because the one I originally got to was under renovation. I found this sweet place and the staff were really sweet. The conchitas were freshly baked for the day and were good. The ambiance is just like any bakery. There was one gal out helping those who needed assistance and the bakers were working in the back and prepping items to go out.

DO NOT buy from this panadería in Oxnard (Vanessas Panaderia) Yesterday was my first time buying from there, I bought a few conchas for my daughter and I. This morning we had our concha's and I bit into something hard. I immediately spit it out and it was a piece of metal!???? What if my daughter had my concha and injected this, or let alone myself. I spoke to the owner of the panadería and she responds with "I know exactly what that is" and says it's from an equipment that broke yesterday but they proceeded and kept the dough???! Top it off the concha's were hard. So I microwaved it for 15 secs not knowing there was a piece of metal in there!?

This time of year always make me excited to visit Panadería Vanessa. They make a delicious Día de Los Reyes rosca with a modern twist...it's filled with NUTELLA! The bread is soft, delicious, and flavorful. They offer the mini filled with Nutella (which is honestly still enough for at least 4 people) and a small or large filled with strawberry and cream cheese. For safety reasons, they give you a bag of mini plastic babies for you to put into the rosca yourself. It does take some of the fun away but we don't want a choking hazard so makes sense. As you can tell in the picture, we got too excited and cut into it before taking a picture. This is our second year getting our Nutella rosca from them for just my husband and I and we are just as pleased as the last. They make the ordering process very easy and accessible. I placed the order through their Instagram and paid through Venmo which made the pickup super easy. I was in and out quickly. Love that they use different outlets to reach their customers. They offer a variety of pan dulce year round where you can get your staple conchas, puerquitos, bolillos. They also sell custom order cakes, flan, and food items like tortas and menudo. I'll be sure to be back to try their other food soon.

I was looking for a fresh and open Mexican Bakery. Decided to take a road trip to get out of the house and head to Oxnard for some conchas! Sure why not! Well not disappointed what so ever! All the bread was SOFT AND IT SMELLED DELICIOUS! We cud not decide what tot and because at the moment we all wanted them all. Great price and they have other food options too. oh and fresher juices also. Again it was so worth the Hour I'd drive from West LA! Customer service made it well worth it. My kids had to have the Oreo shake and Abuela Concha! Great size for the price $7 (see pics) A very clean place, well organized and with a very friendly lady to help named Betty!! Betty Muy amable, pasiente y muy accesible lista para atendernos y caerles los licuados a mis hijos.

This place is unassuming but AMAZING!! Very clean and great customer service. And a surprisingly huge assortment of cookies, pan, pastries and desserts! They serve the pan for you. Don't worry that people have touched the pastries, trays and tongs. I saw on Instagram all of the amazing shakes and fun, trendy desserts they can make. Beautiful creations to make your friends jealous. And isn't that the point of tasty snacks?? Great quality pastries and quick, easy service. Can't be better!!

I stumbled upon this little gem with a few friends. We heard whispers of this Nutella pizza (natapizza). I must say it was a delicious combination of fresh bananas and strawberries on top of a spongy bread smothered with Nutella! Yesss drool! It was plenty for three people. The slices were pretty large. The thing that knocks a star off of my visit was the fact that we walked in and waited eight minutes without even being acknowledged.. (They were making stuff in the back?) So we ventured to different places and a few hours later decided to came back and give this place one more shot.. We left happy. Enjoy!

Lots of sweets and food to pick from! Make sure to try their pan dulce! Made freshly every day, a must try in the city of Oxnard.

I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.

Served with a warmed goat cheese crostini. No mention of melons it had a few slivers of strawberries. Overall taste not very good. Had my mom try it too she was unimpressed. She had the chicken salad. She said it was just chicken with mayo. The croissant was dry. The iced tea tasted like coffee unfortunately. The gentleman that delivered our food just plopped the plates down and walked away. No gluten free options only macaroons! First time at this location normally go to Camarillo and TO so I was expecting the same great food and service. There was a napkin on the ground directly under our table. The ledge by window was dirty! Just disappointing!

From the outside, it honestly looks like just a Mexican bakery, but it's so much more than that. As you walk in, the coffee shop is right at the entrance with a couple of tables, a beautiful mirror, and some side seating. I do wish the aesthetic was a bit more "picture-worthy," but it's still a nice space overall. When I went (Saturday morning), it was PACKED. To the right, you have the bakery section and omg... it smells amazing. They have all kinds of Mexican pan dulce and fresh cookies--so hard to choose! Now let's talk about the drinks We ordered their special, the Baby Milo, and WOW--I was obsessed. Not only was it delicious, but it was also beautifully presented. I also tried the strawberry matcha, and let me just say... I am NOT a matcha girl, but this drink completely changed my mind. It was creamy, smooth, and didn't have that strong grassy taste at all (which I loved). Of course, I had to get my usual: a sugar-free vanilla oat latte, and it did not disappoint. Super creamy, flavorful, and just perfect. From the bakery, I picked up their walnut powdered cookies, and you could immediately taste how fresh they were. They literally melted in your mouth. I was so sad they only came with five Overall, such a great experience. Amazing drinks, fresh pastries, and definitely worth the hype. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone!
