The sauce is one of the most important parts of a pizza and their sauce is just bland. No spices or taste. It's like the canned generic brand stuff from the dollar store. On the other hand, someone referred us to Robert Street Pizza in Ladysmith and we order from there quite frequently. So you can imagine our glee when we found out that Robert Street Pizza purchased the Little Town Pizza in Chemainus. Just to be saft, I emailed the Little Town PIzza manager to see if their ingredients and the way they prepare their pizza would change because of the buyout. The manager promised that we would get the same pizza from their as we do from their Parent company Robert Street Pizza. Well, we eagerly ordered and the manager lied. It was the same garbage that Little Town Pizza has always been serving. NO change in quality, taste or price. Since then they have moved a few blocks but are still in Chemainus. Over the years we have given Little Town Pizza a chance, thinking that their bad pizza was in the past and we hope that it's improved...it has not. We're used to brisket with stronger flavors or perhaps a bit more smoke flavor. The seared cod was very good. For some reason, I didn't expect soupy beans. But the flavor was good and I enjoyed it. We came here twice -- Sunday (unfortunately, they are closed on weekends). Business hours posted on their window are Mon-Fri 7:00a to 5:00p so we came back on a Tuesday afternoon. The different pastries in the display case looked so pretty and inviting... they even have egg rolls! I tried their Coffee Cake w/ Crumble Topping... not too sweet, just delightful. I also had the Apple Fritter... mmm, scrumptious warm apple fritter. I also bought a loaf of butter crust bread to take home (husband looked at me funny). Service was A+. Seating available inside and outside their store for those who enjoy sunshine. Delicious pastries at very reasonable prices. Our table of four all enjoyed our lunches. I found it a little pricey for basically a self serve place. They have a nice patio out front and it's quite nice inside too.
