I thought it was pretty good. The flavors were good in the burrito, though my burrito completely fell apart I would need to get the tortilla on the side next time I think- to be fair I added every possible sauce. I loved their Flavocano hot sauce, my god it was bomb! I want to buy some! Their chips and guac were not great, I was expecting homemade chips not ones I'd get from any bag at a grocery store (which I would never choose these in particular since they had no flavor to them) and their guac didn't seem fresh or homemade... it lacked thickness and flavor... I also didn't like that even though I got a vegetarian meal they still charge extra for guac (unlike Chipotle). It was fast service, and the restaurant looked clean and taken care of. Service was very friendly and efficient (more than some Chipotles that I have been to). I would go back since it still was good experience with great food, but I would still choose Chipotle over this any day (for food quality and price). read more

I was excited to try Pancheros when I heard about their fresh pressed tortillas. Unfortunately, that was the only special part about their food. I imagine Minnesotans with a low tolerance to spice enjoy their food, but I was disappointed. The flavor was lacking in each ingredient of my burrito until I dipped it in the hot salsa. The queso was the most flavorful part of the entire meal. Be sure to check their website before visiting as they may have a freebie for signing up for their text messaging promotions. I don't usually eat at burrito places like this - I can count on one hand how many times I've eaten at Chipotle. BUT, we were in the area and needed something quick - husband's choice. I had a couple of tacos that were fine. Husband had a burrito that he liked. The thing I noticed - beyond the FRESH COOKED TORTILLAS - was after all the ingredients were put in the burrito, the worker MIXED THEM UP! I do this with my own burritos so you're not getting a bite of all rice or all sour cream. More places should do this - its the only way to eat a burrito! read more

I've never had Pancheros but tonight we finally stopped in and I have to say I am soooo happy that we swung i here. Since I'm not a Chipotle person I was unsure but it was pretty fricken good and I'll be happy to go back! I really do liked Pancheros. I started going to Pancheros which was the one located in Fridley, but then when they open up the one in Brooklyn Park which is much closer to my house I started going there a couple of years ago. It was really good at first but somehow with some newer people in the Establishment they seem to have a problem giving you what you're asking for. I ask for double meat and when I get the extra meat it's just a quarter of the spoon they don't even fill the whole spoon up. I'm paying extra for the so called extra meat, very disappointing and I always thought their meat tastes better than Chipotle's but I'm back at Chipotle's because of their stinginess. Why be stingy when you're charging the customer for something that's extra but you're not even really given them the extra just the teeny bit that you can put out, not good business. read more

We just had food delivered and they sent lettuce straight from a grocery store. It had literal carrots and cabbage in my burrito bowl. I had possibly 2 chunks of chicken in the bowl and a teaspoon of sour cream. We spent $60 on this trash and ended up throwing it all away. This place is terrible! Absolutely terrible. Tried it for the first time as I had a free coupon for a free burrito. It's just ok, Portions are smaller than chipotle. The rice,guacamole and salsas are also better at chipotle. The workers at this place care. They actually take time to listen, they're polite, and the restaurant is super clean for dine in. They've also figured out how to sell me the flavocano or green grenade hot sauces I've always wanted to take home and dump on my Pancheros takeout. The chicken is basic, but very tasty and higher quality than other fast casual options. The fresh pressed tortillas keep me coming back and eating in. And....they are open when they say they will be. You are better off going across the bridge to Chipotle. I was excited to try this new place but sadly was ultimately disappointed. You only get one choice of rice, the meat was not seasoned, and the portion size was small. It turned out to be less food for more money compared to a Chipotle bowl. Maybe it was the time of day, but my burrito was not particularly satisfying. The meat was very old and tired, even crunchy! I only put a couple of things on the burrito, salsa, sauce, But the rice and the meat were so cold (or maybe not hot enough) that the burrito wasn't even room temperature when I got it back to the table. I think if I had come during a lunch or dinner rush, things would be hot and fresh, and the meal would have been much more satisfying. I also really struggled to understand my order taker... She was very patient with me, but between her accent and my bad hearing, it took about five tries to get my sandwich going. Not her fault at all, and it's not a part of my rating. Coming here recently was real treat. Not only are they affordable, but the food is just so good. I like how you can go down the line and customize as you wish. I also didn't have to wait that long, since the line almost always moves pretty fast. It wasn't too hard to decide, especially since they offer a very simplified menu. It only took like 10 seconds to decide on 2 street tacos for like $5. Of course the barbacoa, and chicken taste pretty good. It actually filled me up, especially for them being a little smaller than most menu items. I would like to go back to try one of their burrito bowls, or maybe a quesadilla which I would like to try their version. I've heard it is just so good. read more

Terrible experience, *grandkids had the quesadillas(soggy tortilla with a little chicken and cheese) *My wife ordered a burrito bowl, again tiny portion (the bowl was less then half full), she asked for more and the staff said ok but it would cost extra *My carnitas burrito was ok, but typically if I order a burrito from Chipotle I have a tough time finishing but I was still hungry after finishing. Sadly we will not be back, this location is close to home but next time we crave Mexican fast food Chipotle will be our choice. read more

This was my first time ordering food from Pancheros and my experience was very positive. Before ordering I checked out what they had available for a burrito. They had plenty of fresh made ingredients and lots of choices/ options to build a WHOPPER burrito. And contrary to what a couple of reviews said... they had plenty of lettuce available. I agree with another persons review... the staff that helped me with ordering were pleasant and friendly. I ordered a burrito that started out with a freshly made GIANT flour tortilla. A dough ball that was pressed out and immediately grilled to perfection. Those that ended up with a smaller burrito must have selected fewer ingredients to go into theirs. The burrito I had was the biggest I ever ordered from any restaurant and it was very tasty! You can jazz up your burrito with the queso or with mild to hot sauces. On Sunday 3/24/19 was my first time trying Pancheros since it's been 3 weeks since grand opening. The employees that helped me with ordering were pleasant and friendly. I ordered a bowl with chicken, queso, rice, cheese, and sour cream. It was a very small portion unlike Chipotle/Qdoba and they do charge extras for meat, sour cream, cheese, etc. Which is why it's a 4 star. I would honestly return if I was hungry for a portion that small. FYI, they do not have lettuce also. read more

I got a coupon in the mail for a free burrito. So the hubby and thought we'd check it out. It was disappointing to say the least. The portion size was small and the flavor was not good. They do not put lettuce on their burritos. So it was very mushy. I like the crunch that lettuce gives it. So glad I didn't pay full price for that meal. I didn't even finish mine.
