    Carne asada burrito

We unintentionally went during chalk week, so they were very busy. It was clear they were pretty overwhelmed and the service and food quality were affected by that. Complimentary chips and salsa to start. They were fine. Chips were salty. Salsa was meh. Carne asada burrito was fine. Its basically just steak and grilled onions in a tortilla with cheese sauce on top. California burrito was supposed to have fries inside but they weren't there. We did say something and they brought a side of fries but they were cold once they arrived. Shrimp ceviche was good. Decent flavor. We were also mistakenly given a shrimp cocktail. We did give it a try. There were alot of shrimp. Flavor was ok. Standard midwest Mexican American food. Basic, one note flavors. Our server was kind and they were all trying their hardest given how busy it was. Main reason we went in the first place was because we had a coupon. I don't think we'll go back.

Great selection of food and drinks, daily special and cute decor. Service was prompt and food was quick. Plenty of parking on the street or in the parking lot behind the building.

A great neighborhood Mexican restaurant! The restaurant is cozy and colorful and the service was exceptional. Their menu has everything! The portions are decent and a great value. We enjoyed the chimichangas and enchiladas tres. All very tasty, my only critique is that I didn't really like their chips- they were a little too thick and stale for me. I guess I prefer the thin and crispy style, but the salsa was fresh. We will be back!

So let's just get to the important parts... I went here with 3 other people: Pros: -Service was good and friendly. My party was originally sat in a very high traffic area and when we asked if we could move they were very accommodating. -Larger portions -Salsa and chips brought to table right away! -Frozen daiquiri was very tasty! Cons: -Chips and salsa were average. They do not taste like they are made in house, lacking flavor... -Birria tacos had very little meat and the meat that was present was very try. The sauce to dip was lacking flavor as well and the tacos were very greasy. -The decor feels cheesy and cheap. -They just up'ed their prices and have stickers all over their menus to show the increase. -Bathrooms not cleaned and floors around the restaurant were sticky. -Hostess seemed annoyed she had to seat us. Never smiled or talked, just grabbed menus and started walking. Overall I will not be back to this restaurant. It is a very average place and there are just better Mexican restaurants around with better taste and bang for your buck!

The service was average. They got our drinks and brought out the customary chips and salsa. The chips were warm and good. I really enjoyed the salsa. It was a thicker tasty restaurant type. The portions are huge here, so be prepared. My wife and youngest daughter ordered the burritos and these things were like a foot long and very full of meat and beans. My oldest daughter got chicken with rice covered in Queso. It looked awesome. My son got the seafood with fajita vegetables. It looked good too.

The food was pretty average. We got takeout today and wanted to try a new place. The fish tacos were not very exciting. It was battered and fried as stated but lacked seasoning. It didn't come with lettuce, which I was expecting based on the menu description. The pico de gallo that came with it wasn't anything special either. Also, a couple of the limes looked used. The rice and beans were just okay as well. The cheese was kind of its own entity, but I'll chalk that one up to being takeout and had cooled. My SO got the shrimp a la diabla dish. He thought this one was decent but not anything special. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. It was missing the tortillas, but fortunately we had some in our fridge at home. The chips and salsa that came with takeout was a nice surprise though, and I appreciated it. The salsa wasn't that exciting.

This place was nice enough, it was overall clean and quiet. We came on a Saturday afternoon and no one was really there. The bar and set up is nice. There is a sign advising cash is appreciated due to credit card fees when you walk in. Our server was friendly. Complimentary chips and salsa arrived almost immediately as we were seated. Chips needed salt but the salsa was good. It could have used a tad more spice for me. The drinks were very strong, but not the best flavor wise. The elote looked nothing like the photos. It was not covered well with the mayo and cheese, also needed way more Tajín. We got chicken and seafood enchiladas, both were decent but I've had better for sure. Also want to mention our dinner plates were both stained and chipped on the corners. I don't think I've ever encountered this when eating out. All in all, this place is average and fine in a pinch but plenty better Mexican places in the same area.

My taco was soggy and flavorless. My quesadilla was not melted. Very disappointed. Will not have their food again.

Plenty of seating although it seemed like a lot of the tables were very close to each other so not much privacy unless you are in a booth. Loved the individual bathroom stalls, very clean and private. The food was amazing!! We didn't know what to expect here but the food was cooked to perfection, shoutout to the chef for making the noodles Al dente, especially the rice noodles. Being Asian I know how hard it can be to get the right texture for rice noodles but they were perfect! Flavors were incredible. Portions were plentiful, we shared two entrees and two apps between 4 girls and we had leftovers and we were all starving too. Love the vibes here, definitely feels more upscale yet casual. Drinks looked really good too but we did not want to day drink this time.

My husband and I brought our two young kids on a random afternoon around 2-3pm. We weren't dressed up, but we weren't dressed inappropriately or overly casual either. The service was honestly some of the worst we've experienced -- lots of attitude, and we left feeling like we weren't exactly the type of guests they wanted there. Keot walking past us when we would call someon they wouldnt come. The food was mediocre and so unmemorable that, a year or so later, I couldn't even tell you what we ordered. The one thing we did enjoy was trying the different sauces. Enough time had passed that we decided to give it another shot. This time we went around 4pm on a Thursday and dressed up a little more. Right away, the host seemed annoyed that we didn't have a reservation, even though it was early and there were still plenty of empty tables. It was an odd way to start the experience. Thankfully, our server this time was wonderful friendly, helpful, and a complete change from our first visit. The food runners were also attentive. Unfortunately, the food itself was the biggest disappointment. The gochujang wings barely tasted like gochujang. There were so many other flavors going on that the gochujang seemed completely masked, and the wings weren't crispy at all. One of the kids' chicken tenders came out cut in half, which I'm assuming was to check that it was cooked through. Not necessarily a huge deal, but it was strange presentation. My husband and I both ordered the Caribbean chicken sandwich, and neither of us enjoyed it. It was dry, didn't have nearly enough sauce, and the pieces of slaw were way too large for the sandwich. I paid for extra sauces that never came, and my husband received the wrong sauce. The fries were good, and the service at the table was much better this time, but that was about it. After two visits at very different times, we've had essentially the same takeaway: Grackle has a cool concept and the sauces are fun, but the food just hasn't lived up to what we expected for the price. Our second experience also confirmed that our disappointing first visit wasn't just opening-month growing pains. I really wanted to like this place, especially enough to come back after a poor first experience, but unfortunately two tries was enough for us.

What a nice time. Despite the size of our group, the evening was handled very well. We had two very attentive servers who did a fabulous job keeping up with drinks, food, and all the little things that come with a large family gathering. They were friendly, organized, and never made us feel rushed. My usual order is the Black Fettuccine with Lobster, which I highly recommend, but this time I changed it up and ordered the Combo Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan. It was excellent. As always, the bread with olive oil, parmesan, and fresh cracked pepper was awesome. You have to discipline yourself to stop eating so much warm bread that you don't fill up before your meal comes. For appetizers, we shared three Bruschetta orders, the Bacon-Wrapped Dates, and the Calamari Fritti. Everything was very good and perfect for a larger group to share. The overall experience is what keeps us coming back. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, they have a great patio during the summer months, the food is always consistent, and the service is typically very good. It's just a reliable place for a nice night out or a special family gathering. I wouldn't rate a chain restaurant with 5-stars, but Biaggi's never lets us down. Solid 4-star experience every time we visit.
