Needed something to pull me over tonight, and for me, this was the place. Wawa was too subpar for me and good for wee hours, and the Acme nearby didn't offer many pre-made sandwiches when I went and all their other prepared foods are put away like most places. So, this place fit the bill. They had a shrimp special and they had just cooked the shrimp. So, this was the best part of the meal. I like that the dough is pretty fresh, but the ingredients are not as fresh as I remember. It seems the fad of a new place opening has lowered the number of people going, but at least this place still has business. I personally like this place better than Chipotle's overall, but I'm also usually not much of a limited menus item kind of guy either. If I could give negative stars for this establishment I would. We went there on a Sunday afternoon and there was NOBODY in the place. We informed the server we had a coupon and she prepared our bowls with 'attitude' and only half full! We went to use our coupon and she grumbled it had expired. It wasn't until another person working there helped us that we were able to check out with the coupon. This was our first and LAST time there, service was so terrible and food mediocre at best. Somethings about Panchero's a better than Chipotle/Qdoba and some not as good. The best part are the fresh-pressed tortillas. They really do taste good. We get tacos burritos and bowls. Here's how I see the difference between this place and the Chipotle/Qdoba/Moe's of the world. The main differentiator is that Pancheros presses their own tortillas fresh for each order. Literally they put the dough in the presser and transfer it to the grill. These are used to make your order. After one taste of the tortilla that I stole from my son's taco, it does make a difference. These are softer and fresher. Also, the menu seems a little simpler here. You can see it in the photo. Judge for yourself. Now here's the lowdown on the taste. It's excellent. My carnita burrito bowl was well loaded and the flavors came together very well. I highly enjoyed the queso and chips which had a pretty sizable kick. My wife was a fan of her chicken bowl. My son loved the chips and guacamole more than his chicken tacos, but he's a picky pain in the butt lately. The verdict in my family is this place is a little better than Moe's and way better than Chipotle. I haven't been to Qdoba in a long time so forgive me there. read more

They make their tortillas in house; we saw them being made. Portions were generous. The food was delicious, the manager stopped by our table and asked if everything was satisfactory. On Monday April 18th, 2022 - Pancheros was running a "buy one get one" free promotion, So both me and someone else decided to get steak burritos. I ordered the burritos online for pickup, drove to the restaurant, grabbed the food and brought it home for us to eat. Neither of us had eaten anything all day prior to that, and literally within a couple hours, if not sooner, both of us were extremely ill for the next 2 days. Symptoms: diarrhea, nausea, stomach cramps, cold sweats, vomiting. It was terrible. We were both so sick! 1 million percent definite food poisoning. The workers here truly care about their customers and making sure everyone has a great experience and quality food. The burritos are more reasonably priced than somewhere like Chipotle or Qdoba but honestly, I go for the community of it all. The ambiance there truly makes it feel like a safe place and it's the first place I think of when my girlfriend and I have a long day or I want to just catch up with some pals. You know when you're eating Chipotle, and you're like, "What is that? A chunk of a jalapeno pepper that does not belong," and then your mouth is on fire? That rarely happens at Pancheros. What makes Pancheros unique? They use spatulas to distribute the burrito fillings evenly to perfection. Gigantic and unequally distributed blobs of sour cream (yuck) are a thing of the past! I loved Chipotle and still do, but I have been converted. Chipotle, Moe's, and Qdoba use prepackaged tortillas. Pancheros hand presses their tortillas fresh in front of you! I am a full-time college student and Mexican food enthusiast who can afford take-out occasionally. I frequent Pancheros because it's affordable, even for someone saving money for college. Their price point is similar to Chipotle's. Each entree costs about $8. And, yes, guac and queso are extra, but we been knew! The employees serve you from a buffet-style counter, like Chipotle. My usual order is a burrito with rice, chicken, black beans, fajita veggies, corn, mild salsa, and guacamole with a side of chips and queso. They also offer bowls, quesadillas, tacos, salads, and chips with salsa or guacamole. The burrito fillings are delicious and elevated. The subtle smokiness and spiciness are mouthwatering but not overpowering. Does their queso have the same consistency as Chipotle's? Theirs is thicker but packed with flavor. It is gooey and cheesy, and the peppers add a nice kick. They offer Pepsi products, sweet/unsweetened tea, and free water cups. Endless drink refills are a plus! I usually opt for take-out. Their layout allows customers to skip the line when they order through the Pancheros app. The app is functional and user-friendly. Definitely consider downloading it. You can earn a free entree for every $100 you spend! If you try to err on the side of frugal like me, no worries! Pancheros offers free chips and queso when you fill out their survey. Are there any downsides? My first few visits weren't perfect. There was a 20-minute wait for my first order. Pancheros is a 10-minute commute from my house. When I got home, my food was closer to warm rather than piping hot. I opted out of fajita veggies when the bell peppers looked al dente (crunchy) more than once. Okay, but has Pancheros addressed these initial kinks? Yes! Pancheros listened to customer feedback and quickly rectified these issues. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to all my amigos! We haven't been this sick in a very long time. 2 days of illness accompanied by diarrhea and vomiting. Really horrible food poisoning, do not eat here!! First time ordering from this place and I DoorDashed the order. Usually when I'm first time door-dashing I make a review a minimum of 2 stars for benefit of the doubt but this experience was absolutely pathetic. We ordered 4 meals; 2 "salads" with chicken, 1 chicken bowl, and 1 steak quesadilla. Let's start with the good(if it's even possible to call anything about this experience good). The steak quesadilla was not bad. Loaded with cheese and pressed well, only complaint was that it didn't have a ton of steak in it. Not worth the price but not mad at it. The "salads" were the worst offender. For starters, I put "salad" in quotes because the only thing that makes it a salad is a heaping pile of Romaine below the other ingredients. The romaine was cut into large chunks so it was impossible to be eaten in a single bite. The guacamole was brown before even opening the containers. Upon eating, a few negative discoveries were made: a burnt taste and most ingredients were skimped out on. The burnt taste was discovered to be the beans. All 3 bowls all had black beans and the burnt taste ruined the bowls. The burnt taste was not in any way subtle. The two salads were later discarded because the 2 family members eating them deemed the dishes inedible. I had the bowl. My guac was also brown. Because I didn't have to sift through 90% gigantic romaine, I was able to focus on the other ingredients. The lack of chicken was disrespectful. I use a food scale for meal-prepping so I could say with confidence that I had no more than 1 OUNCE of chicken in my bowl. A normal serving is around 4 ounces. I checked the salads prior to them being discarded and they had roughly the same amount of chicken. The chicken pieces were extremely small, the average piece being much smaller than a dime. It looked more like crumbs than chicken. I tried the chicken without the other ingredients and it tasted close to supermarket canned chicken breast. I am cheap so I doused mine in their hot salsa(not bad!) and some hot sauce from the fridge. I usually always give DoorDash orders a second try for benefit of the doubt, but this will be an exception. I eat at competitors to this place(chipotle, Moes, etc.) and this experience has ruined those for me at least a little while. If you are reading this, don't risk it... take your money elsewhere. read more

We have eaten here several times. Unfortunately it took until tonight to be told that the tortillas have dairy in them. Who puts dairy in their tortilla??!! Anyway. Then, they offered a burrito bowl as an alternative but if it's all about the tortilla as they claim why would I order something without the tortilla? So it was off to chipotle for us where the tortillas are vegan. So the food has been satisfactory in the past which is why we came back but it is extremely disappointing that the tortillas aren't suitable for people who can't do dairy. Weirdly, both our burritos were mixed up/mislabeled and were missing several ingredients (his was without carnitas, for example).
