    Tres Leches

El Limon was very delicious! We arrived for a Sunday dinner and were seated immediately. It was a bit chilly, but the food made up for it! The service was super fast and the owner was so kind. We thoroughly enjoyed the nachos (al pastor). My quesadilla was good, but it wasn't the best I've had. However, the prices were reasonable and they offer a free margarita with dine in! I wish they had churros, so that is one recommendation, but we devoured our tres leches cake! All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our dinner!

Great little taqueria! Food was fantastic good sized portions, and served very quickly. The horchata was delicious. Wish I had room for desserts! Very relaxed atmosphere- so glad we stopped in.

We went to El Limon a bit early (4pm) for dinner and had a lovely time. They have a large menu selection of typical Mexican food. We opted for the tacos with a side of rice. The service was very quick and friendly, and our meal came out hot. I'd recommend visiting if you're in the area!

    Two tacos to go

Decided to try the new Bryn Mawr location of El Limon instead of venturing all the way to Ardmore yesterday. I got a pork carnitas sope and a chorizo taco, both of which I've had several times at the Ardmore location. The pork was delicious as usual, but had a pretty strong flavor of cinnamon to it, which wasn't bad at all - just a little different than the carnitas I've had several times in Ardmore. They forgot to give me some lime wedges which I was a little sad about, but not that big of a deal really. I realized yesterday that apparently when you get a "supreme" taco, those toppings take the place of the onions and cilantro that come with the regular tacos. In my opinion, the supreme toppings should be in addition to the onions and cilantro - then they would be really bangin'. I really like the atmosphere/décor of the Bryn Mawr location better and the layout makes much more sense with the kitchen being in the back of the restaurant instead of off to the side. It just had a more comfortable feel to it. Will definitely be back soon!

Don't let the outside fool you, it's tucked in behind a bigger building and it's inside the pizza shop but that was easily the best birria I had on the east coast. The corn tortilla was actually crispy which was a big bonus in my book with the perfect salty bite. The shredded beef was beyond bountiful; so savory and perfectly balanced with the fresh onion and melty cheese. The consume was rich with perfect notes of acidity and spice I double dipping into the hot sauce which made for a perfect bite. The green onions were killer not everyone does that super good. Barely finished 2 tacos they are stuffed! 3 tacos and a soda came to $20, well worth it. Also customer service was good, the guy at the register and cooks were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend eating here.

We ordered the shrimp tacos, the veggie tacos, and a large side of guacamole. The shrimp tacos were the worst I've tried. Three tacos each with approximately one underseasoned shrimp cut into tiny pieces, topped with chopped tomato, jalapeño, onion, and a tiny bit of cilantro, drizzled with chipotle mayonnaise. The shrimp was tasteless and the portion was tiny. The pico de gallo was as average as it gets. Not to mention the tacos at El Limon come with beans and rice for the same price, these did not. I got takeout and had homemade corn salsa, pickled jalapeños, and hot sauce in my refrigerator, thank god, because these tacos needed some flavor. My boyfriend ordered the veggie tacos and didn't say much other than he disliked them and proclaimed Lili's a "one and done."

From the happy hour menu, the sliders, tuna nachos, and brussels sprouts were all very good -- special kudos to the brussels sprouts, which we went back for a second round of. Off the regular menu, the lobster bites were the standout: lightly breaded fried lobster, good enough to impress even though I'd just come from a week in Maine. The meatloaf was also excellent. The atmosphere is somewhat classy, the service was good, and the bartender was friendly. I'd definitely come back.

I knew there would be a problem when he scooped ice from the bin with his bare hand and put it in a glass. Appetizers and bread were delicious but my wife's salmon was a brick. My branzino was perfect but its accompanying risotto swam in way too much cream. The bartender perched himself at the far end of the bar, eyes glued to the televised World Cup. Eventually we called him over and discussed our findings on the meal and his lack of service to which he showed abundant disinterest. We will not return.
