I ordered Panda chef for a staff potluck. Unfortunately, the staff at the restaurant were rude on the phone when placing the order and when the food was delivered. Not only did we have to deal with bad customer service but also had to deal with the amount of food being given to us. I ordered a 50 wing tray and 5 wings were unaccounted for (only 45 wings). I called back the following day to address the problem with the manager and wasn't able to get anywhere because once again they were rude about the situation and didn't take responsibility for the mistake that was made. I would not recommend this place to anyone and avoid yourself a headache. read more

Pros: 1. Only Chinese place that delivers to my area (91915 zip) which is awesome because.... 2. They have really good food! I love their house chow mien personally, my girls love the sweet and sour chicken, and my mom loves broccoli beef. All plates tastes amazing every time, unlike some places where the rice or the chow mien can get dry, here it's always flavorful! 3. I order so often that as soon as they hear my address they remember me and start being very friendly over the phone, as well as when they drop off the food! Cons: 1. Until they recognize you they can be a bit short, which is understandable since they're super busy, but that tends to put a lot of people off. 2. Prices are a bit higher than what I would like to pay for the amount of food. Like I said though, I order A LOT, so I guess it isn't a deal breaker, at least for me. I used to frequent this eatery when I used to get manis/pedis (back when Hair Pro Nail Pro Salon was here) with my mom on the weekends. I love that it's never too busy for dining in. They have a steady stream of customers who order for take out and there are one of the rare Chinese food eateries that offers delivery! I've always been a fan of their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and House Special Noodles. The Kung Pao Chicken isn't something I've ordered more than 2x. Like someone had mentioned previously that it's not much to look at on the inside (like Royal Mandarin but much more brighter and cleaner in my opinion), it is a decent place to come to. It is as authentic as they come, the people here are friendly and always refreshing your drinks and asking if your meal is ok. You must try the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and House Special Noodles! This place is great. I called in for delivery and within 30 minutes our food was here. The lady that took my order was so nice and ended up being the one that delivered our food. The chow fun was amazing (I added mushrooms and bean sprouts) and the peppered beef was delicious and of course I had to order the chicken wings that everyone was raving about and the reviews were 100% accurate (bomb wings). I've been a customer here since they opened. My family and I have always loved the place. I fondly remember the days of inhaling 1 dollar rice plates with my fellow Eastlake Titans. Goodtimes. First off, Panda Chef is consistently one of the fastest deliveries in the Eastlake area. Like I previously mentioned, I have been a customer since the 1990's, and every time I order in they have arrived with the food CRAZY FAST. It's super clutch when you're hungry and too lazy to get your butt off the sofa. The food and menu is run of the mill Chinese American. However, the honey walnut shrimp, fried rice, and egg drop soup are some of my favorites from their kitchen. The Salt and Pepper wings are decent as well, but they get extra props for being the only place I've ever seen to have enough sense to poke holes in the container they place the wings in for delivery so they don't get soggy on the way. Brilliant! This place gets my highest praise. It is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Eastlake, and I am extremely happy it has survived all these years. Give it a try read more

A very yummy hole in the wall. It's made on the spot so it's fresher than Panda Express, and way quicker than Pick up Stix (why is that chain so slow?) I like the General Tsao and cream cheese wontons the best. I wish they had two item entrees with rice like Panda Express, I'd gladly pay extra for it. The owner is really nice. If you need utensils for your "to go" then ask, made that mistake once. If anyone there is reading this write now, please, please stop playing that one elevator music CD on repeat. I've been eating here for years but had gotten away from it the past couple of years as there are many newer restaurants in my area. Went back tonight and it reminded me how good this place is. Ambience isn't much but the food is fresh and made-to-order at a very reasonable price. Unlike pretenders in our area (e.g. Panda Express), these guys don't serve you like cattle from a generic, metal bin as you pass down a line....I thought I was done with cafeterias after middle school. This ain't some fancy schmancy restaurant, but rather a hole in the wall, down to earth, freshly made Chinese food establishment. The inside of the restaurant has just basic decoration and standard tables and chairs. It doesn't seem busy inside, but they do get a lot of food to go orders. The kung pao beef and Mongolian beef were two of my favorites, with good sized slices and tender beef. The sweet and sour chicken was also really tasty. Another popular dish is the salted pepper check wings. I didn't care much for the shrimp with garlic sauce. To top it all off about 65% of the menu items costs between $6.95 to $7.95. That def a bargain. I would definitely recommend this place for your Chinese food takeout needs. read more

We ordered in July 2013... We ordered Beef Chow Mein, Cashew Chicken, and S&S Shrimp. As usual, we got plain rice with our meal and when we got home I was shocked with the HUGE and I mean filled to the top HUGE portions. My daughter loved the noodles. my husband enjoyed the Cashew Chicken and I of course enjoyed the S&S shrimp. I wish I asked for the sauce on the side b/c I hate when my Shrimps get mushy :( Other than that I thought the food was great. MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT HANDS DOWN! Sorry that was a little emotional but I been going here since high school (2002). Their prices as great and the quality of food is amazing. The staff here hasn't changed and they are the most friendliest people. The service here is fast! But without compromising quality. When I bring friends I always time how long it takes to put in the order and make it to the table...usually under 5 minutes. This place has phenomenal delivery times. I think the only way they could be faster is if they had a teleporter. Usually it's around 15-20 minutes. Today it came in 25 minutes. If you're hungry and want it NOW, but don't want to leave the house, this is the place to order from. I've never eaten at the actual restaurant, so I can't comment on the quality of it - but the food definitely hits the spot if you've got a hankerin' for some greasy Chinese. Came around 7pm on Valentine's Day, no one was dining in. Waited 10 minutes to order at the counter. The food took forever to come out, the crab rangoon was so cold the cream cheese had hardened by the time it was served to our table. Was looking forward to some chinese on a ñong trip so I stopped by. Ordered sweet and sour pork special with two egg rolls and continued on my way. When I finally stopped to eat my meal after a bit of shopping I noticed that I not only did not receive the egg rolls but also got chicken instead of pork. Nothing to do here for me. I'm too far away to go back for a dollar in egg rolls and am not in the area enough to look for any form of reparations or anything of the sort. My one and only experience was a bad one. read more

In the two visits I've ordered from here they have been exceptionally quick to get food prepared. We had the chicken fried rice, which is soo much food and is their best dish in my opinion. We had the sweet and sour chicken and it was not fresh at all. Dry and hard to chew. We had general tso chicken and that was middle-of-the-road taste wise. The cream cheese wontons are just meh. My review is based purely off of when I order delivery. They always take my call and order quickly, and they're pretty fast with their delivery. I'm not usually a fan of salted pepper chicken wings, but there's something about their recipe that's delicious to me. I believe my sister told me that you have to order a minimum of $20 worth of food (don't quote me on this haha) in order for them to deliver. Both times I've ordered delivery, it's been between $40-$50. But hey, at least I didn't have to leave my house. That's a big plus for me! read more

They also have a very speedy delivery service which has helped us a countless number of times. I work in the office and this delivery guy would ask for directions to an apartment carrying bags of Chinese food. It smelled so yummy I had to order some! First off, I didn't know we had Chinese food delivery here in the suburbs and second, I didn't realize we had an award winning restaurant here in the city about 9 minutes away!
