was craving Vietnamese and this was the closest in proximity to our destination. Inside was spacious, menu was like a Vietnamese version of cheesecake factory menu. So much to choose from. My husband wanted a rice plate and got the satay beef and a side of grilled chicken. I opted for the bbq beef banh mi. Looked promising however our meals were underwhelming. Although they were ok in taste, we left feeling full but not satisfied. My banh mi was just ok. It came deconstructed and i thought that was a cute idea to present the food. the beef was just ok. The bbq sauce it comes with was hoisin sauce. I opted not to add it with my sandwich. The baguette didnt have that crisp flavor. it was a big portion but i felt the flavor in everything was just lacking. My husbands meal was just ok for him as well. He usually finishes his meal but left more than half and opted to just take home. Probably a place we wont return to unfortunately. The staff are really nice and helped with whatever questions were asked. It seemed pretty busy on a tuesday night with lots of carry out orders and dining in at 8pm. Parking is easy to find, big parking lot.

perfect for a cold day or feeling sick. this is my go to if i don't want to drive far it's nearby my home and it's flavorful and reasonably priced. i always get the #3 chin and sometimes ill get the spring rolls. i also got the thai tea. thai tea is pretty sweet which is my preference. they do get pretty busy on colder or rainy days but you can call in. i never sat down and ate in here just always to go and i haven't had a bad experience. sometimes just a long wait because it's busy but that's all. overall good pho, nothing life changing just my go to for nearby pho.

*great parking *good for large parties * great service * casual ambiance *tasty food This place is great for some tasty pho! Love coming here anytime of the year. Customer service is great. The calamari here is one of my favorite appetizers here a must try. The broken rice is also good with the fried fish large portion. The spicy pho is my go to when here. Definitely love that i don't have to drive Miles for good comfort food.

I had brunch here with my friend the other day. I haven't been here in years. The menu seems to be the same, but the food does taste a little different from what I remember. The service was on point, and we stayed talking well past being done with our meal and the staff didn't make us feel rushed at all. I ordered: #25 the Skewered Satay Beef- the meatballs are not as firm as they were in the past, they completely fall apart when you cut them in half. But they were good. #14A House Special Satay Pho- this was so great, flavorful and really filling. I loved it. Thai Iced Tea to-go - very tasty, exactly what I was hoping for. Parking was easy, there are lots of spots. The vibe was casual.

My family and I went here for the first time a couple days ago. Food wasn't too bad, I really enjoyed the Pho (#2 on menu). We also ordered fried egg rolls and some salad with cold noodles that I never had before. It was surprisingly refreshing and yummy. Service was great and the people working there were kind. It was the ambiance for me that gives it a 4/5 stars. Valentine's Day balloons were still up and there were chairs stacked up. Maybe from an event? Or rearranging that side of the restaurant? Could use a little sprucing up! All in all, pho was my favorite. Would go again!

Broth had very good flavor, but the steamed veggies tasted like nothing. Stick to the protein that comes with the pho.

I went here for a quick bite after I was in the area. I used to come here years ago before Covid, and I forgot how good the food is! I know during Covid they were takeout only but coming back to dine in is such a treat. Food: Bun Bo Hue 5/5 Most pho spots don't have Bun Bo Hue and I've been dying to try it since my Viet friends always recommend it. I finally got it here at Pho Convoy and it was amazing!! All the flavors were spectacular and I highly recommend if you want a little spicy broth. The meats balls with the brisket honestly made my day. Vietnamese Drip Coffee: 5/5 Whenever I eat Pho I crave the coffee and this place just did amazing with the coffee to creamer ratio. Loved!! Service: 5/5 From the moment we sat down and ordered, food arrived in less then 8 minutes!!! So amazing. They seated us right away and there was no wait. I thank our server who was a younger man and he checked up on us multiple times and refilled our water. Ambiance is very casual but honestly coming here for lunch or dinner is a win! Great for families and big groups too as they have numerous seating. If you're craving pho, I think this is the best pho spot in Chula Vista! Definitely coming back

Good food, great service. Nice big restaurant with lots of tables/seating. We stopped in after one of our morning soccer games at Southwestern College. I had the veggie pho as it was during lent. The broth was very flavorful. My daughter and husband said the garlic wings and regular pho were delicious as well. The menu is pretty extensive, so I'm sure there's something for everyone if you're not in the mood for soup. It's in a big plaza, so there's plenty of parking.

This has been my go to pho restaurant in the Otay area for the past 5 years. I stopped dining in after Covid and always ordered takeout. I chose to dine in tonight and ordered my regular 12A - shrimp and pork wontons with egg noodles. The food never misses and is very flavorful! I will say for service, I wished the workers had more help as dinner rush had the person working at the front bouncing from taking orders to giving people their take out meals. It was very busy for one hostess/waiter/cashier to handle, however, with how busy it was, the customer service was still top tier! Ambiance was nice! My friend who tagged along with me liked how they were playing the smiths so he made me tip more lol! Overall, pho convoy is a hidden gem in Chula Vista! Highly recommend if you want a warm hardy meal.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Tasty Malatang Chinese Cuisine was…read moredisappointing because of the customer service. According to the restaurant's posted hours, they close at 10:00 PM. My family and I arrived around 9:15 PM, expecting that we still had enough time to order dinner. As soon as we walked in, the server immediately told us they were already closed. My mother politely pointed out that the posted closing time was 10:00 PM and simply asked if the kitchen happened to close earlier than the dining room. Instead of explaining the situation professionally, the server responded in a very rude tone: "Well, you guys can eat and order, but at 10:00 PM you need to be gone and out the door." Another employee then stepped in to back him up, making the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. I completely understand how the restaurant business works. I've been around the industry long enough to know that kitchens often stop taking orders before closing or that staff are trying to finish cleaning at the end of the night. If they had simply said, "We're sorry, but our kitchen is already closed," or even, "We can still serve you, but we're finishing up for the night," we would have completely understood. There was no reason to speak to us disrespectfully. What made this experience frustrating is that we never came in with an attitude or demanded special treatment. We were polite from the moment we walked through the door. We simply asked a reasonable question based on the restaurant's posted business hours, and instead of receiving a courteous explanation, we were met with unnecessary hostility. Customer service is just as important as the food. A welcoming attitude can make guests want to return, while a rude interaction can overshadow everything else. Unfortunately, this experience left such a negative impression that I won't be returning. I also would not feel comfortable bringing my family or recommending this restaurant to friends because everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect. I hope management takes this review as constructive feedback and reminds their staff that even when it's close to closing time, a little kindness and professionalism go a long way.

However, when I arrived to pay, the older gentleman at the counter informed me that they only accepted cash. It would have been helpful if that had been mentioned during the phone call so I could have come prepared. He told me to use the ATM next door, but I wasn't comfortable using a random ATM, so I checked my car to see if I had enough cash. Unfortunately, I didn't. When I returned to let him know, he suddenly pointed to the Apple Pay terminal, indicating that electronic payment was actually an option. As I attempted to pay, he repeatedly asked whether I wanted to leave an 18%, 20%, or 25% tip. I politely declined, but instead of processing the payment, he continued to pressure me, even offering me a free soda if I left a 25% tip on my $45 order. After repeatedly saying no and realizing he wasn't going to respect my answer, I walked out. I don't appreciate feeling pressured or manipulated into leaving a tip, especially when I was simply trying to pay for my order. The entire interaction left a very negative impression.

The bowls were only filled with rice, the ramen was filled with scallions, and not much else. The Cali Roll were also mostly rice, no avocado, they were so cheap and did not even add wasabi & ginger! It was so nasty, why not place the trash cans inside, where it is hidden, not where customers were dining?!? We won't be coming back.
