Edwin. A name that I will forever hate. Every time I hear it from now on, I'll be reminded of one of the most ridiculous, disrespectful moments I've ever seen in my life all over one tiny chili pepper at Panda Express. Here's how it went down. My father, a kind, respectful older man, politely asked if he could try a piece of a chili. That's it. Nothing crazy. Just one small, harmless chili pepper. The young lady behind the counter smiled and said yes she was sweet, kind, and had no issue with it. But then, out of nowhere, comes Edwin. Edwin walks over like he owns the whole restaurant and suddenly turns what was a simple, polite request into a full-blown scene. He tells my dad "no" in the most disrespectful tone possible and laughs at him actually laughs. Then, with the biggest attitude, he tells my dad not to point at what he wants. Like my dad's fingertip was so filthy it could somehow shoot germs through the glass barrier. The same glass that's literally there to stop stuff like that. I've seen rude people before, but this took it to a new level. I don't know what kind of power trip Edwin was on, but bro really made it seem like asking for a chili was some kind of major offense. He made my father a man who's worked hard his whole life, who raised me to be respectful feel small over something as stupid as a dried-up chili pepper. And let me tell you, my dad is not a confrontational person at all. He's calm, polite, and always treats people with kindness. But seeing the look on his face when Edwin laughed at him made me furious. It's one thing to say no fine, whatever, maybe there's a rule but to laugh at an old man for pointing at his food? That's next-level disrespect. We spent $50 in that place. Fifty dollars for food that immediately lost its flavor the second Edwin opened his mouth. And all we wanted was a single chili. You'd think we asked for a gold bar or the secret recipe to the Orange Chicken the way he acted. I honestly wanted to say something. My blood was boiling. I wanted to tell him to check his attitude and show a little respect to his elders. But my dad, being the better man he is, stopped me. He told me to leave it alone. That's the only reason I didn't put Edwin in his place right then and there. Now every time I think of that moment, it just makes me shake my head. How can someone be so miserable that they take it out on a polite old man over a chili? How do you look at a customer someone who just spent good money and laugh in their face? So yeah, Edwin, if you're reading this congratulations. You made sure your name will never sound right to me again. You turned a simple dinner with my dad into a moment I'll never forget for all the wrong reasons. I hope one day you find some humility, maybe a little compassion, and definitely some respect. I ordered multiple party platters, paid online, and received confirmation my platters were ready. Arrived to location with my son and went to the counter where the "mobile order pickup" sign is posted. The middle aged lady and teenage girl behind the counter refused to make eye contact and when I asked if I needed to wait in the buffet line they turned their heads. I went to stand in the buffet line and was refused service. I waited until a third employee came from the back. He was a teenager and very helpful. He spoke to the middle aged lady and she told him loudly that I could wait. My son and I sat in a booth for over 30 minutes waiting. The teenager attempted to bring the platters out to me but the middle aged woman said I could come get them myself. I have never been so uncomfortable in a restaurant. If I hadn't already paid I would have left. I do not recommend this location. read more

The food I get is always good standard Panda Express quality. I do enjoy the food. Staff is great and always apologizes for what they are out of. Not bad but rarely great. I really want to love this place, but I've had more bad experiences than positive. I came one day around 4 o'clock in the evening and was told they were out of two of the main dishes that I wanted and they had no chow mein noodles. Seriously, how can you run a panda express without the chow mein noodles? Another time I came I ordered a medium soda. I was in a rush so as she was finishing totaling my order I put my card in she charged me for a large drink. It is Panda Express. Not sure what the issue is for some. I had a great experience. I love the new additions to the menu. The shrimp! The honey walnut shrimp is a bit too much for me, but anyone that loves the orange chicken should be all over it. Tons of fresh veggies, lots of choices. My one issue is the parking lot is a bit crazy. Oh and I wish it were closer to me instead of in Gainesville. read more

This is the WORST Panda Express ever! I don't know what their problems are there but it never fails. Seems like since the beginning of of this year They NEVER have anything you go in for! For MONTHS they were out of their original Teriyaki sauce. And all they had were cheap imitation packets... At one point they were actually out of the Teriyaki chicken itself for a while. And half the time in between visits you never know what they will be out of next when you go there?! This most recent visit they were out of their Orange Chicken AND the Walnut Shrimp?! I mean what next? But to top it off you have to wait ages to go through the drive -thru only for them to tell you all of this! And Why?? And for the past 2 years since the Pandemic they haven't let anyone go inside to order... Even though every other store and eatery surrounding it is open!... Including the other "local" Panda Express location. Like what are they even in there doing?! Obviously not making food since they never have any! Why even bother to remain open?... They might as well just shut this place down. Its worthless. You'd be better off taking the extra time to Drive to the "Mall of Ga." area location. They are 99% of the time stocked on what this Gainesville location isn't! And you can actually go INSIDE personally and order your food! When this location first opened they were awesome. I'm a once a week drive thru customer and last three times I visited, the serving boxes got smaller and they don't even fill the smaller box up. I go to this panda pretty often, but was disappointed last time. I love the steak and mushroom entree, but it's always so fatty when you bite into it. My husband also loves the cabbage in the lo mein and always asks if the can grab a little extra for him. I kid you not, this time when we asked the associate ignored him and the team members proceeded to make fun of us via the head sets thinking we did not know. It's not a hard request and we've asked a million times. Why make fun of us? First time visit for all 4 of us. Very welcoming and helpful. They let vhf us try several items before ordering. We all got the walnut shrimp they are so good. The honey sesame chicken was good as well and the Angus beef and mushroom. I liked the lo mien noodles . Didn't care for the egg rolls or spring rolls both had to much ginger . When they first open the food was good, now it just about as bad as it can get. The sauces are mostly salt and sugar. There is no layers to the taste of the food. The rice is mostly overcooked and salty with very little veggies added. I will not be going back to this location even in a pandemic.
