Last couple times this location has failed me the steak gorgonzola is one of my faves but it was not full of any flavor my last visit so this weekend I decided to do the stuffed chicken Marsala to start the salad was dry the breadstick wer atleast fresh but my plate was just a chicken breast with cheese spread and slapped another chicken on top I have had this plate in Buford and presentation was way different to make matters worse...my mom bites into plastic in her noodles Manager could careless her lack of care was wild. Idk if it was our ethnicity or if she can really careless...thank goodness for our server she was really nice and made up for the managers lack. Safe to say I usually go to the Buford location lense my family lives near there so far I never had a problem there and due to these last visit in Gainesville I'll stick to Buford

If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, well, Olive Garden is like Italy's distant cousin twice removed. You know, the one that shows up to family gatherings with a tub of grocery store potato salad claiming it's "Grandma's secret recipe." Let's start with the breadsticks. Oh, the glorious breadsticks! Fresh out of the oven, these little carb torpedoes are the highlight of the meal. They're like the Swiss Army knife of food - you can eat them, use them to butter your pasta, or even duel with your dining partner in an impromptu sword fight while waiting for your entrée. Seriously, I'm convinced they sprinkle something addictive in those things because no one can eat just one. Or ten. The salad comes next, and it's bottomless! Yes, bottomless! It's like they heard my childhood dream of eating an infinite amount of croutons and ran with it. The salad itself is mostly lettuce, but it's covered in so much dressing that it could practically be soup. No complaints here; it's delicious. Now, the main course. I ordered the Tour of Italy, which is like the greatest hits album of Italian food. It's a triple threat of lasagna, chicken parmigiana, and fettuccine alfredo. This plate is a heart attack waiting to happen, but what a way to go! Each bite is a culinary adventure that takes you from the smoky ruins of Rome to the cheesy paradise of Naples. The portions are so big that I was half expecting to get an eviction notice from my table for overstaying my welcome. The service was... an adventure. Our waiter had the enthusiasm of a sloth on a caffeine detox, but he was nice enough. He had this way of disappearing just when you needed a refill, but he always reappeared right on time to see you awkwardly licking the alfredo sauce off your fingers. Classic. For dessert, we went with the Tiramisu. It was light, fluffy, and probably the most authentic part of the meal. By the end, I was so stuffed that I needed a forklift to get me out of my chair. All in all, Olive Garden is where you go when you want to feel like you're in Italy but only have gas money to get you to the local strip mall. The food is comfortingly consistent, the breadsticks are dangerously addictive, and the experience is hilariously unforgettable. Just don't forget to pack your patience and stretchy pants. Buon appetito!

    Service with a smile.

Tonight we dined at Olive Garden Italian Restaurant while visiting Gainesville. We thought it would be great to have an Olive Garden experience like what we are accustomed to at home in the OC-SoCal. It was stellar because of the one person that gave us 200% of service. Her name is Edith and she handled everyone's dining wishes, from strictly Vegan to one that loves spaghetti and sausage to one wanting as much soup and another ordering the angel hair pasta. It was a delight and a table of four of us that was covered with all 4 available soups and salads and entrees and the never ending buttery breadsticks. The decision to dine at this Olive Garden was a definite winner. For dessert we ordered the simply delicious warm Italian donuts with a chocolate dip...unfortunately the sweet raspberry dip was not available. In all it did not matter as we were able to bring some left overs home. Thanks to Olive Gardens at Gainesville for exceeding expectations and giving us great service and hearty good foods.

Zoey was incredible. The restaurant was super busy and she was absolutely on TOP of it! Best service I've ever had at this Olive Garden. Pristine service. Incredible food. Extravagant environment.

Open, lots of natural light and nice decor. Bryanna out server came right over and took drink orders while we decided on appetizers. We opted for the fried calamari and the spinach/artichoke dip. Calamari was perfectly cooked. The dip was not as thick as I normally see but both items very tasty. Entrees were also well made. These are lunch portions pictured which no one was able to finish. lol. Dishes were well seasoned, pasta al dente and delicious overall. Service was great. Bryanna checked on us often, was very efficient and offered dessert even though we were unable to partake. We all had leftovers to take home. Check out this local spot if you're in the area.

Menu was very Italian, some traditional dishes I'm sure to the owner as well as they were red sauce, which is standard on mini dishes. . This is sangria only so no beer or liquor, which was a little disappointing but does not affect the review. I survived and got a beer later.!! We all ordered with the mixture of pizza to my chicken pasta, tortellini, and shrimp fettuccine. All were well-made, the pizza really stood out with a great crust and flavor. My chicken presented well but was really lacking seasoning but nothing a little salt and pepper didn't correct. Shrimp fettuccine also seem to lack seasoning, but I tend to look for a little more aggressive seasoning before tasting.. Plates were nice portions, even had to get two to go boxes, including half the pizza which we enjoy later.. if you're looking for Italian, this was very good. Very family, friendly and service was impeccable.. Highly recommend!!

We had a reservation for dinner on 12/20 at 6:30 pm. Knowing it was the holiday season and that Dahlonega is a popular destination, we intentionally made a reservation so our family could enjoy a relaxed dinner together during our visit. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways. Cons: Despite having a reservation, we waited an excessive amount of time to be seated. Once seated, our table was visibly dirty. When a server finally came by, bread was delivered without plates, utensils, or napkins, which required an additional long wait. Service throughout the meal was extremely slow. We watched several other parties arrive, dine, and leave while we were still waiting. The chicken piccata was not prepared correctly and tasted more like a sour Alfredo-style sauce. The steak was chewy and not cooked as ordered. Pros: We received a small complimentary cannoli for a birthday, which was appreciated. The ambiance was festive and nice for the holidays. Had we known about the level of service and food quality ahead of time, we would have chosen to dine elsewhere during our visit. It's disappointing to say, but based on this experience, I would not retur

The Cumming location is great, but the Dahlonega location needs some support in the food. The ambience and service is always great, that's not the issue . Sadly it seems I'll have to wait another 3 years before I try this place again.
