It's been almost 2 years since I tried this restaurant. Ordered online, a bowl and a plate with 2 sides. When I arrived at the time specified on my email order confirmation, my order was not ready, as it was waiting for a fresh batch of mushroom chicken to be prepared. It was lunchtime, so there was a steady line of walk-in customers and the person handling cashier duty was busy. The walk-in customers were actually getting their orders finished before my online order. I wound up waiting about 15 minutes before my order was completed. The quality of the food, has definitely declined since my last visit, as the food, especially the fried noodles and the broccoli beef were very salty. The sauce on the broccoli beef and chicken dishes were extremely salty. The broccoli was also old looking and not fresh. Also, the portion size has decreased as the take out boxes are shallower than before. There are other choices for Chinese food in the Lodi/Galt/Stockton area that are much better. It will be a long time before I visit this location again, due to the saltiness and lack of freshness of the food. read more

This location seems to not be able to get it together since COVID-19. I went today on my lunch break and had to wait for about 45 minutes for ONE plate and only one person in line in front of me. Once I got my plate, my food was cold, had about 4 pieces of orange chicken and MAYBE a half of scoop of rice. I'm sorry but for $9 I think you could've done a little better considering there was no one there to begin with, or maybe before people order you can tell them the wait time so that way people don't waste their money or their lunch break on mediocre Chinese food. My wife and I come here every now and then when I'm too lazy to cook and it's usually the same story. Empty food trays and very skimpy portions. I am by no means a glutton but I like to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. After ordering a three entree plate the girls serving gave very small portions. To add to that, when I had ordered something that didn't have much in the tray the girl still left a scraps in the tray. Like, why not just finish it off and then call the chefs to make more? It was bad enough that when the cashier was checking our orders she gave us a puzzled look and asked, "did you guys get everything you ordered?" I gave her a sigh and a halfhearted yes, but she was nice enough to put a little bit more into our plates. Considering there were still about 5 more people in line behind us I hope they didn't have to wait log as pretty much all the trays were empty. Even the fried rice and orange chicken. If I could give zero stars I would. I tried to complain on their website but it would not process my complaint even though I kept within their 1000-character limit so I will leave my review here. "My order was missing the super greens, this was an order I was sharing with another person and the missing super greens made our meal far less. After I expressed my complaint to the associate I was dissatisfied with what she was offering, the super greens only, despite the inconvenience of having to return on a later date as the store was closing in 10 minutes. I asked to speak with the manager and when I was put on hold after several minutes the phone call hung up on their end. It took two phone calls for them to pick up and then I was blamed for the hang-up instead of an apology. I was requesting my plate order be remade for the inconvenience of it all but the manger refused and only offered a medium super green. I expressed to her this would not satisfy the inconvenience of having to return on another day and at least 10% off my next order or something along those lines would have been a better counteroffer and show that they at least had some grievance for my inconvenience. This is by far one of the worst experiences I have had at this store. My husband and I came here on another occasion an hour before closing and the employees had already begun clean up with very little food to choose from. My husband told me today's visit was very busy upon pick up and they likely did not have super greens and did not want to make more being so close to closing. This is extremely unacceptable and I will never return to this location again. Panda Express not only lost a customer but has a negative review from a local business owner who will not be referring this establishment to her local and visiting clients. This is by far the worst Panda Express - extremely rude, doors locked at 8:30pm when the restaurant states closes at 9pm and no sense of customer service. There were 5 people waiting outside the door at 8:30pm until about 8:45 and still no form of communication to advise the restaurant was short staffed which then prompted them to close early. Took the time to step inside around the corner and speak to someone directly (as this is the second time this location lies about their hours of operation) - asked the cashier politely, if they were going to be closing at 8:30pm every day and the cashier only quickly mumbled they were short staffed. A customer even took the time to irritatingly yell at me because I was taking up his time. A restaurant being understaffed is understandable but the lack of communication is not. read more

This is my second complaint for this store. I ordered delivery to my house. 1. They were 20 mins late (not doordash's fault but panda's) 2. The beef broccoli felt raw and the sauce was too thick. 3. There was a long hair in the beef broccoli! I tried calling to complain but no answer. Had the worst experience at this Panda Express. There was pee all over the bathroom and I almost fell to the ground. I did hurt my knee very badly. I told the manager "Sergio" about what had happened and very rudely just said "I'll have someone go clean it up!" I had to tell him twice until someone actually went to clean it up. So I get food from here pretty often, and normally I have no issues. Today was a FAIL. I used Doordash...I ordered my daughter a kids plate with chow mein and orange chicken. THEY FORGOT THE ORANGE CHICKEN!!! Then I open my food...my egg roll and cream cheese rangoons were BURNT. My chow mein was 90% cabbage, barely any noodles! Then to top it off, my order of broccoli beef was literally 4 pieces of broccoli and 2 small pieces of beef. WTF?!?! I just left Panda Express here in LODI and they had an incredibly violent movie playing on the TV over the line area. Nudity and foul language followed by a guy smashing another guy's head with a axe many times then peeing on his dead body. So.... I don't think I'll be going back. I had to shield my kid and really should have just said something and left instead of doing business with the store. The manager said, "oh, is it to much for your boy". This is by far one of the worst Panda Express I been to. I worked for Panda Express a decade ago and still remember all store protocols and procedures and as soon as I walked in the store, I saw several violations. Let's start with the front of the house worker who was sitting on top of the counter in the back kitchen touching her phone. Worker was probably on break, but this is completely unsanitary. Second, the lobby area was not cleaned and all trashcans inside of the store were full. Besides from the unsanitary store, there were signs that the ice machine was broken but because I was traveling, I still got a fountain drink. At the drink station, at least 3 soda was out, and the workers did not care to replace any, so I had to settle for the strawberry Fanta :( . While eating our food I realized that the workers were filling up their cups with ice, so I figured the ice machine was not out of order, but why not take down the signs. My last and final complaint was how four workers along with the manager (I believe her name is Michelle) sat in the back dining and chit chat with the coworkers and throw several f bombs. I'm not trying to be a Karen and complain about every little thing, but I have three kids under the age of 10 with me and it was quite disturbing that my kids had to witnessed that much cursing. At one point I even felt embarrassed for the store. I really hope the AOC in the region reads my comment and stops by the store to observe. As far as for food, portions were smaller but it wasn't as big of a problem for me. read more

Customer Review: Aug. 18, 2018 I recently had the opportunity to spot this relatively new Panda Express Chinese Kitchen when I was visiting Lodi, CA The beautiful exterior of the building prompted my curiosity and attracted me to investigate the interior. To my pleasant surprise, I was truly impressed on how clean this restaurant looks inside. It was literally a showcase, in pristine condition. Everything about this restaurant spells out a, "picture perfect" operation; literally. Counters, tables, floors, display cases, everything..... Super clean! The ingredients were fresh and organized, and everything in the kitchen was orderly. Quite impressive and appealing! The Chinese food in the hot display cases look delicious and mouth-watering; literally picture perfect, much like food illustrated in food magazines. I would think Gordon Ramsey would be impressed and give this Lodi Panda Express a thumbs up! In addition to the cleanliness and delicious food it serves, the Panda Express staff at this Lodi, CA location is the best I've seen, compared to the many Panda Express restaurants I have visited. All of the workers were wore theme colored uniform, neat and orderly. They all look super sharp. The girls behind the counter had a great attitude. They were friendly and charming, had smiles in their faces, and worked effectively and efficiently serving customers. As a routine, they were also keeping the steam tables looking clean and in tip-top condition. Great teamwork! And evidently, well trained by a great management team. I was informed that the role-modeling of this store is credited to the management team, consisting of management team members Erik Torres (Area Manager), Rachel (store manager) and Paul Vang (assistant manager). I had the opportunity to meet and Erik and Paul, and what wonderful people they are. I will certainly be coming back to this Panda Express in Lodi for another welcoming visit and a delicious Chinese meal. Kudos to Lodi Panda Express; Erik, Rachel, Paul, and its wonderful team of fantastic workers that make this restaurant feel such a home. I was very worried about coming here due to some of the more recent reviews, but my experience was much better than I was expecting!!! The staff did their best to keep up with the never ending line of customers. The cooks excelled in their efforts in keeping up with the food items needed. The counter staff did an excellent job of greeting customers, moving them through the line without making them feel rushed, and completing orders in a timely manner. read more

This was the very first time that I actually had a great service from Panda. I was shocked by this wonderful and kind lady named Charla; she was amazing and we had a great talk. She told me about her two dogs and we made a lot of agreements towards her country the Philippines.
