Went in on Mother's Day 2026 to pick up my online order set for 710pm and it's 4 plates, I got home and received just a plate with rice in it. Completely didn't put my premium item (honey walnut shrimp) that is extra $. Managers don't believe me? Check your cameras within that time frame. I know they always UNDERCUT with condiments so I asked for extra soy sauce, the lady rudely says "there is some in there" what's with this effort level? Panda HQ should be contacted because this is absolutely ridiculous. So because of their mess up, I had to take my child to another place to eat. So to recap, I DIDNT GET THE ITEMS I PAID FOR, LOST TIME, GAS AND MONEY, driving some place else, and I have to go back to this panda(more time and gas) to complain. Is panda going to make this right and compensate me appropriately for ALL MY LOSSES? I lost $20 worth of food, $10 for extra gas and an hour of my weekend, I charge $100 per hour for my time because I don't have much personal time. That's a grand total of $130 because of a MISTAKE THEY MADE! Don't think they understand that many people feel they've also been ripped off by them so maybe it's time for a collective effort in seeking damages for poor training and poor management and procedures. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had at Panda Express. I ordered a small bowl and a side of chow mein and paid using Apple Pay. After checking my transactions, I realized I had been charged twice for the same order. Because of the duplicate charge, I ended up paying around $45 for a meal that should have cost a fraction of that. Mistakes can happen, but being double-charged is a serious issue, especially when customers trust that their payment is being processed correctly. The food itself was average, but that doesn't make up for the inconvenience of having to deal with an incorrect charge and spend time trying to figure out what happened to my money. I expect businesses to have reliable payment systems and to handle transactions accurately. No customer should have to worry about being charged twice for a simple meal. They missed an entire entree on my plate, leaving a comical empty spot in the box. I called them, and best they can do is give me the entree "for free" on my next visit. No refund. So now, if I want to get what I paid for, I need to go there AGAIN and give them my name and hope they have it written down. So here is a 1 star review since they were going to get away with zero consequences for messing up my order. Not only that, they were rude when I picked up my food. Didn't even look at me, just blurted out "dsfjkdl pick up or togo order?fjdskl" I could hardly tell what she said. I feel like the current 1.9star rating is a little low for this location. I come here every other month or so and I have to say that they are consistently good. I always do a mobile order and I have never had any issues. The food is good and they have never gotten my order wrong. I do think it's important to support local, authentic, Chinese food places as well, but for a nice dinner at a reasonable price, this is not a bad place to grab a bite. I just finished my dinner from this location and realized I have never reviewed it so I grabbed y phone while I let my food settle and I was really surprised by the comments on here. A lot of the reviews don't make sense...they say things like the food is really good but today the rice was stale or they left out my fortune cookie. They say the food isn't "authentic" but it's delicious so they only get two stars. It's so confusing. Consistently good food and service doesn't warrant a one-star review. People make mistakes. Anyway, let me come down off my soap box to tell you that we just got a family meal for everyone at my place with sweet fire chicken, orange chicken, grilled teriyaki chicken, Beijing beef and double chow mein and not only was it tasty, but it was very affordable and everyone enjoyed it. As far as the quality of food is concerned, this location has stepped up its game. Though the ratio of beef to broccoli is generally lacking in that particular dish. Also I'd like to note that it seems all the new dishes have onions and bell peppers in them which tells me corporate is cashing in on cheap veggies instead of getting creative. Just my opinion. This location however always seems to be under staffed. Every time I come in there is a line all the way to, and sometimes past, the door. The people behind the counter assembling the meals just aren't able to keep up with the orders because you have each person doing three or four different duties on top of meal assembly. The cashier is also packaging the to go orders, giving the online orders to people picking them up, and seemingly a number of other things. I think every time I've ordered online in an attempt to skip the line, I'm still waiting about ten minutes just so someone can hand me my order that is sitting on a rack right behind them. And speaking of to go orders, I don't think they have ever actually filled up the a la carte box completely. The difference between a small and a medium, and a medium and a large, is only a few bites. So when I order a medium and it's 3/4 full, that means I payed for a medium but was given a small. That's what happened today, and there were even air gaps down below. This tells me that nobody is actually packing the food in the containers and making sure they're filled to the top. I usually go to the location on Eight Mile Rd but was closer to this one tonight. I ordered the Orange Chicken and it was not the coating as I expected. It was a brown, hot and sweet coating on it. The pieces were small and had burnt tips.The Broccoli Beef wasn't any better. The broccolli was still hard, barely steamed and the pieces of beef were miniscule. Disappointing. My appetizer of Crab Rangoon was the only mediocre item. I don't think I will come to this location again. If I noticed this before I left, I would've told them to give me something else. It was ready super fast, but unfortunately I don't know if I will ever order that again. Food is so expensive everywhere you go nowadays so you should get what you pay for. One of the sides we ordered, the broccoli beef, wasn't even halfway full when we opened it up at home. I notice that once an option is out they replace it, but otherwise the food sits and does not taste as fresh as it should. Otherwise, the food is okay. It tastes like fast food Chinese, as it is. I highly recommend the honey walnut shrimp, as it's usually the freshest item and tastes pretty good! Inside, it's pretty clean and the ambiance is fine. It's definitely a fast food place, and not a restaurant. The prices are higher than somewhere like McDonald's, but definitely on par with the kind of food being served. It's better to order there or use the drive-thru. I've noticed that ordering ahead or waiting for something to be ready takes a lot longer than expected. I work in fast food but she was extremely disrespectful starting off with walking away and said let me know when your ready with an attitude I said I'm ready and she looked as if her job was the last thing she wanted to do. An employee gave me the wrong food (an item didn't order mixed into my plate) and when I asked for the correct item I was met with a ton of attitude. "What do you want me to do about it?" Sign on the door says, "No mask No service No exceptions" is a violation of the ADA, especially when they won't provide masks that won't asphyxiate people. Oxygen deprivation causes brain damage and death. Especially if you already have a breathing condition. Apparently the employees brains are already impaired, else why would they insist on masks because of the COVID19 hoax? The fine for your first ADA violation is $75,000. It doesn't look like this location cares about service and also is very weak in providing coronavirus safety. I placed an online order yesterday that was to be ready at 1:28. After arriving I had to wait until 2:01 for the order to be complete! About covid safety: There is no option for curbside delivery. When I got to the front door there was a sign saying that if the order was online, one should go to the side door. At the side door there was no attendant, so I had to enter the store by pulling on the possibly contaminated door handle. Once inside there was no distinction between online and walk-in servicing...everyone had to stand in line for the cashier. After being told to wait for my order (see above) I had to find someplace to stand away from other patrons...it was not easy. About the food: Panda Express is not cheap, but their portions were tinier than remembered and not the expected quality. For example, the honey-walnut shrimp had half-a-walnut! With millions of food service establishments across the country trying to recover some income by operating responsibly and safely it was disappointing to see that this location couldn't make the effort. read more
