Decided to try Panda Express after hearing about it in the States. The plate with two entree was $13.50 and some entrees have extra surcharge of 1.75. Total with tax was around $17 We got half rice and veggies with orange chicken and firecracker steak and shrimp. The food was okay. Tried it once and probably won't be back. First time trying orange chicken and it had a strong citirus flavor. The beef and shrimp was just like your ordinary Chinese stir fry sauce. read more

I got the bigger plate hoping to take leftovers home and the employee let me put the 3rd portion in a small container which was great. Not sure what I should rate this place, there is a reason I haven't been back since their first introduction of being a resident of the stockyard shopping centre. I ordered the 1 portion with meat of choice. At first I wasn't too hungry so I chose to order chow mein and 4pc of orange chicken. What I got was a fist full of veggies in my chow mein with little to no chow mein which is my substitute to fried rice. Because of this I won't be returning to this establishment and will just stick to the Supermarket takeout food at Nations. This was like 12$ with tax, i understand the cost of keeping the door open. But the inflation shouldn't hit that hard with no noodle and mostly veggies. read more

I normally don't review fast food restaurants but this was my first time trying Panda Express and seeing the low star ratings here, I wanted to give my two cents and also a little lift to the average rating. My siblings and I shared the bigger plate plus an extra side (on the side haha). We got chow mein with fried rice and I liked both. Quite oily but it's Chinese fast food so that's expected! For the 3 entrees, we got the honey walnut shrimp, kung pao chicken, and honey sesame chicken. I actually really enjoyed all the sides. First time having kung pao chicken too and it was delicious! I love the extra element of texture from the peanuts. For 3 of us, the bigger plate option with the extra side (~$23) was enough and we were all full at the end. They also gave us two fortune cookies which was cute. Service here is really great, the person serving the food and cashier were really nice. They're also collecting donations for SickKids and when you donate, they press a bell and celebrate your donation which is very wholesome. Although portions could be larger, the food was good and it satisfied my Chinese fast food craving - would definitely return! read more

I had Chow mein noddle, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Orange chicken my ultimate 3 favorite in Panda express. It was delicious!!! The good thing about here is the food is already prepared warm and fresh so all I need to do is choose:) Reasonable price and lots lots of portion. At the ripe age of 58, this is my first Online review everLast week, I used a 2 for 1 coupon for my first visit to Panda Express (Stockyards) and both the food and service were fantastic. While initially there were very few selections (it was within 30 minutes of closing on a Saturday night) they offered to make items fresh. Well worth the wait, we were rewarded huge portions of delicious food from super friendly staff. I was surprised they closed so early, (maybe due to the lack of draw after mall closes) and there were a considerable amount of customers. I'm not sure if the shortfall is a common occurrence, but overheard the offer to other customers as well. Portions were so large we got cute little takeout containers on the side, in addition to our plates. Never thought I'd ever say this, but actually felt guilty getting all that for only $12! read more

seems like the portion sizes keep getting smaller and smaller. I used to come here mutiple times a week now im going to stop. I always have to ask for more rice or noodles and a couple of times the rice has been hard because it is rushed. Its sad when this place first opened it was good now they are trying to cut corners any chance they get the employee's at panda express are stingy and are trained to give small portions to the customer. I thought it was fast food, not rushed food. My experience at this location was incredibly unpleasant. For starters the food was not fresh, it has been in my previous visits. When we got to the broccoli and beef, which didn't have enough to fill the 3rd item container, but it's all good!he gave me a scarce amount of a fourth item for free, as opposed to letting me wait a few minutes for the kitchen to make a fresh batch. They did after all have 3hours left before closing time,Which was the most upsetting reason behind the feeling of being rushed. Only to start eating my food and realize it wasn't fresh. This Panda Express benefits from being shiny and new. Most of the items have seemed fresh when I have eaten here, but occasionally the fried chicken pieces taste more like a fried piece of a fried piece of something. It does seem like this franchise has made an effort to provide more vegetables and healthy options, so kudos to that. One small trick here is that the fountain drink station is around the corner from the register and is not easily visible. What you see are individual bottled beverages by the register and nothing else. I gave it a 2 star, it is because the place looks clean and tidy. Years back I worked at a Panda Express one summer during college in the US. I had to persuade my husband to go with me just to renew my memory. Everywhere you looked, it is said open till 9pm. However, we got there 6:25pm today, the door was locked. I can see the staff working inside ( seemed to be cleaning up). On the door the working hours sign also indicate open till 9pm. There was no explanation, no signs of either "Open" or "Close". So disappointing, so unprofessional! How can a serious business run like this?! read more

Yay a Panda Express in Canada! I thought they were only in the USA, and the Beijing beef has always been my across the border go to fast food. The selection for ready main entrees was almost nil, but you can have anything made to order in under 10 minutes. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, because our entrees came our fresh and hot and extra crispy. I also tried the orange chicken, which was cold from sitting around, and the honey walnut shrimp which was delicious but a bit too gooey for my personal taste, but I can see why people like it so much. I will be back for more Beijing beef some time soon! I hope they open one more downtown! read more

The portion sizes were insanely small and they barely scooped anything onto my plate. The stuff they did scoop was mostly the vegetables and the pineapple when it was mostly a meat dish. I expect to get decent portion sizes for such a highly priced meal. Not happy. read more

Great selection of many different meats and veggies you can choose from. The food is mediocre. Chicken Teriyaki is a great option but ive had better. Portions are also big. Expect to pay around $10-$12 for 2 meats abd a veggie option. One thing that is good is the service at this location. Super friendly and they make sure you get everything you need when leaving. Last time I tried Panda Express was in the US but after trying it again recently, I don't remember it being THIS good! The orange chicken was hot and saucy just the way I like it. This place is local, has ample seating area and great food. We've had almost everything on the menu and it's always nice. Favorited are orange chicken, green bean chicken breast, and for spicy lovers: Kung pow chicken! Always good service and if you're looking for something they're out of the kitchen will make you son if you're willing to wait a couple minutes (trust me it's worth it). I visited this Panda Express location recently and I must say it was such a disappointment. I was at the counter ordering and they were out of noodles and I had to wait for a fresh batch. Chow mein? Isn't that a staple? Ridiculous. The food was not fresh. Since the noodles were unavailable, I had the chicken fried rice. The eggs in the rice tasted like they had gone bad. The majority of the entree items were not available. I selected the sweet and sour chicken and I received 80 per cent pineapple. I did not know it was sweet and sour pineapple. The last straw was when I saw the employee at the counter using toothpicks and grabbing food and eating it in front of the customers. Such a bad look. I don't know how many times she's used the same toothpick, put it in her mouth and used it again. No wonder there was no food left. The employees are eating it all. A great place for quick Canadian Chinese food if you're in the neighbourhood. The prices are slightly higher than most Chinese restaurants but the food is significantly better. When we walked into the place we gave it 5 stars the food looked really good at first. We ordered 3 entrys plus one side meal each and everything was great until we began to eat. The food was cold as an Eskimos nipple. And soggy like a wet sock. I bit into a price of spicy chicken and nearly broke my tooth on some kind of mysterious object. Still unknown. May have been a beak or someone else's tooth perhaps? At this point they lost 3 stars. I noticed a digital sign for the spicy shrimp on the wall and it said "get it while it's hot!" I then wondered at what time they were referring too? Yesterday maybe? I went up to the counter and asked a employee for salt and pepper. He handed e me pepper but had trouble understanding what the salt was at which point he handed me the entire bin for me to retrieve the salt myself. At this point they lost another star. As I was attempting to not to look at my food I noticed the ceiling had several leak stains and a rather large puddle on the kitchen floor. Overall it was a very disturbing experience and if I could give them no stars I would. On the way out there was no handle on the door. Hmmm? Not sure why. Maybe so there customer's can not escape. I managed to get out though. Thank God. Not to mention the horrible diarrhea that occurred later that evening which may I add clogged the toilet well at lease the food was finally hot enter at own risk and god speed. read more

I was in the restaurant this evening around 9pm with my partner, and walked into a nearly empty buffet. Understanding it was almost closing time, I was deciding between what few choices they had left. Another customer just ahead of me asked for an item that was not prepare but on the menu, in which the employee replied "we can make it for you if you want." The customer agreed, and the employee made the order - no problems. So I also asked for an item which was yet to be prepared but instead of the same compliance as she had with the previous customer, the employee hesitates, and asks if I'm sure, and continues to tell me that it'll take ten minutes. I assured that'd be fine, I was in no rush, and the look on her face screamed not impressed. She did get someone to make it though - which I appreciate greatly, but her whole aura, and attitude the entire time I was ordering was very impatient, and amateurish. She was even laughing with her coworkers in the back as multiple customers in the front were complaining amongst themselves and to the employees about the lack of ice in the machine. Hopefully they will hire more skilled workers for their restaurant in the future! read more

I always wanted to try this place. So today while on route home I stopped off. Between the plate combo, small drink and chicken egg spring roll it came to $15. They only had one meat of the two meat combo ready, so I was given half a meal which I ate because I was starving. Then I had to wait for the other half about 20mins! After waiting patiently the other half of my meal finally came and I was told the chicken egg roll would be there soon. It never came! And they certainly weren't busy. The food was not good either, even for Chinese fast food it was cheap crap - Like it had been sitting there all day. Majorly disappointed. I absolutely love Panda Express. It's my go to restaurant in the area. The employees are always happy and greet me once I walk in the door. Occasionally I come in about 15-30 minutes before closing (I know, I hate being THAT customer, but I don't live that close) and they are happy to make the food I want, even if that means they have to cook a new batch. The cashiers even offer me water while I wait. I don't think I get service like this anywhere else. Besides the service, the food is pretty awesome. the most expensive chinese takeout, once again the owner is so cheap they have shrunk the containers, having been to many pandas throughout the usa, this one is by far the most expensive and you get the least amount. the food is decent only because you have to ask them to make it fresh, they never have enough ready because they only make it one portion at a time and leave the leftover on display. took 22 minutes to get my order to my table, and they were only three other people ordering, funny i had finished eating by the time they got food for take out and they ordered first. i will not be going there again unless i win the lottery and even then out of principal i think i will pass read more
