We had the beginnings of a carpenter ant problem in the home we'd just bought in Tahoe Donner. We called Panda and Steven (the owner of Panda) was there within the hour. Quickly identified the source of the problem (a tree stump near the base of our deck), gave us a very clear explanation, and then did a full spray inside and outside of the house. Steven came out to the house for a no cost evaluation. Educated us on what the evidence shows as an ant problem. i recently needed help to get rid of mice and not only did panda pest respond promptly, they did a free inspection and careful analysis of the situation. because i was so impressed i thought they deserved to be paid and i asked how much i owed them. their price was extremely reasonable for what they did and included a follow up visit at no charge. i really appreciated the professionalism - pictures and descriptions of what needs to be fixed to prevent the mice from re entering. and they even noted other issues to be corrected such as a dryer hose that wasn't properly connected to the dryer. hopefully i will not need their services again but if i do, i know who to call. read more

I contacted Steve for what I discovered, through his very thorough inspection, was a mice, chipmunk and squirrel problem. My experience with him was nothing but professional and personable. He promptly returned my initial call, provided an immediate time slot given my sense of urgency, and showed up on time. Steve went through an exhaustive inspection of the main house and detached garage (w/ office above) both internally and externally. During the inspection he called out ways in which I could remediate the problems myself. He spent about 75 minutes with me, provided all the solutions, and didn't charge me. Steven is quick, professional and completely eliminated my mouse and carpenter(black) ant problem in our Truckee cabin. His knowledgable approach was to check the entire permitter of house and garage and figure out how the mice were entering. I was concerned about aphids eating my aspen trees earlier in the summer. I called out Panda Pest Management and asked about getting my trees sprayed for aphids. The Panda that came out informed me that spraying a tree was possible, but it would be harmful to beneficial insects. The Panda then told me about a systemic treatment for aphids. It sounded interesting and didn't kill honey bees! The Panda came back as soon as it started to freeze and set out some "bug bait" that the tree would soak up in the spring and allow the tree to naturally repel the aphids. I'm excited to NOT SEE aphids in the spring, and the sticky stuff they leave on the ground. read more

Steve was very helpful and a wealth of information. On short notice, he came by our house in Incline and walked our whole property and checked our crawl spaces with us. Though we thought we had issues with chipmunks and squirrels, it turned out our property was in good shape. He did find several exposure points with trees being too close to our roof line and pointed out where we could have bat problems.
