They helped a 3.5 year old get stronger physically and mentally, encouraged sportsmanship and discipline with kindness. C has been coming to Pandas Karate for a few months now and absolutely loves it. He started the Pre-Karate program (2.5-3 years old) a week before he turned 2.5yo. The first class was free, which was nice because C just observed from the side lines for the first 20 minutes of class until the moon bounce came out (what toddler would pass this up?!). Since C didn't really participate his first class, Ms. Susan (one of the owners) was kind enough to let him try the class again the following week free of charge. This time around, C participated and really enjoyed it. The Pre-Karate class is once a week in the early evening. The class is broken up into three parts, which I like since the attention span of a toddler is quite short. Each class begins with a short story followed by stretching while counting to 10 in Korean. Then they move onto practicing their karate skills/technique, which generally consists of stance, blocking, punching, and kicking. The last part of the class consists of a sport or game with the theme changing each month. On the last class of the month, they bring out the moon bounce. At the end of class, everyone gets a sticker. The owners, Mr. Daniel and Ms. Susan, are both fantastic. They are extremely kind and really good with children. You could tell they enjoy their jobs a lot. They both have a lot of patience, especially with the little ones. The other instructors (C has worked with Ms. Stephanie and Mr. Peter) are good as well. Besides having great, caring instructors, another thing I liked about Pandas Karate was the fact that you didn't have to sign a long term contract. Payments are monthly, with a slight discount (and free uniform) if you sign a four month contract. Our older daughter has been taking classes with Pandas Karate for about three years now and our younger daughter started about a year and a half ago. My kids tried a few karate schools in the area and one of them was Panda Karate. This place has great customer service. They responded to my inquiry promptly. We met with the owner Master Daniel on the trial day. He was nice and kind to my kids. My kids did 15 minutes trial class for $7 for each kid. Master Daniel showed them basic karate. He explained to us the classes they offer, their schedule, and the monthly fee. The school is clean and spacious. They offer an in-person class and they follow covid 19 protocols. They put a line on the mat so that kids are socially distancing. Everyone has to wear a mask. It looks like they teach all ages. I recommend this place if you are looking for a karate class for your toddlers. read more

If you are looking for a karate class for your young children that is nurturing, fun, teaches good life principles of first time listening, discipline, and doing well in school, is focused on overall physical and life balance, and is not overwhelmingly challenging then this is the place for you. The classes are 30 min for the Little Pandas, and that time is split into approx. 3 parts:1) Warmups and counting in korean 2) Karate technique 3) Obstacle courses/Games. The classes are 2x a week, and in order to get the discount on the monthly fee you need to sign a 6 month contract. Belt tests occur every 3 months, and the kids feel a huge sense of satisfaction from passing them. Master Daniel is very patient and encouraging and takes his time out to give extra pointers to the parents who's kids are struggling with particular kicks and that has been very helpful. He seems genuinely interested in their progress. Mrs. Susan is also great with the kids. If you are looking for a dojo that is tough, strict, demanding, has sparring and is and highly focused on technique for the under 7 age group then this might not be the right fit for you. For us, and our extremely shy daughter who has some developmental concerns this was the right fit for this stage of life. read more

We had our son's birthday party at Panda's karate with about 20 kids. Each kid left the party saying that it was the best party ever. Master Daniel had several fun activities ready at the karate studio for the kids and it required no prep for activities on our end. Kids did fun karate drills followed by exciting games and the lesson ended with a board break. The best part was that our son, the birthday boy was a black belt for the day. We will definitely be planning birthday parties at Panda's karate in the future. read more

My two daughters started in September 2021 (at 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 years old) and both have had fun, gained confidence and learned basic karate skills. If I could give Panda's Karate more stars than these five, I would. Both Daniel Amaguana and Suzan Guzman are educators, not merely teachers. I can see my grandson's character being molded with traditional good manners, respect for himself and respect for others. Moreover, Daniel and Susan do not try to usurp parental obligations, but reinforce them. As a long time - I shudder to think just how long - student of martial arts I was impressed with their Tang Soo Do methodology. Combined with their enthusiasm for the sport, and their dedication to pedagogy, the results are visible, encouraging and fast. At age 6 my grandaon has already earned two trophies in competitions. I was so impressed that I enrolled to learn this new sport. In the three weeks I jumped from judoka to karateka I have been challenged to the max, and inspired into making Tang Soo Do karate a lifetime pursuit. My son has been doing karate at a different school since he was four and he's now six. For almost a year I felt as if the customer service at the other school wasn't that great and all they wanted was your money. I didn't want to pull him out of karate completely so I stopped the payments until I found him another school. I was told about Panda's and I am so glad that I checked them out. The customer service is excellent and it's also a mom and pop shop which I love. We have been there for almost 2 months and my son has learned so much from the instructors. I love taking my kids to Panda Karate my boys have never experienced having a sport or an extra circular activity other then playing sports at recess at school or with the kids in the neighborhood. Our experience with Panda's Karate began with my younger son, who started as a white belt and is now a blue belt. Along the way, my older son decided to take the kick-boxing class. Then, I decided to join my older son in the kick-boxing class. As you can tell from the progression, we are quite happy with Panda's Karate. The environment is inviting and puts you at your ease. I love Pandas Karate for their PK Boxing classes for adults. It is only 30 min. from 8-8:30 but it is an intense workout! You leave drenched in sweat every time and each class is different so you don't get bored. Daniel, the instructor/owner is really awesome. He does a good job of encouraging you throughout the whole thing and NEVER gives you a hard time if you can't do something (thank goodness!). Nicest guy ever and really cares about the people in his class. Plus there are no contracts which is so different than what I am used to (like the gym membership that I signed up for and never use). You can buy packages for a discounted rate but they are still only one month at a time. Really, I can't say enough about this place and the owner. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a fun way to get in shape!! read more

Mr. Daniel has been teaching my stepdaughter for about 3 years now and her focus has really improved! His philosophy of linking advancement in Karate to behavior in school/one is a real winner. If the child doesn't get a good report on behavior from the parent, they aren't allowed to take the belt test for the next level, so they have an incentive to do well. And it works! I liked him so much, I started taking classes with him myself about 2 months ago and even though I'm old, fat, and need to take more breaks than the 13 year olds I train with, he never makes fun of or criticizes me, but always is encouraging! No contracts are great too, but I think it's the attitude that sells this place. And it's a great workout too! read more

We loved Daniel and Susan's approach to teaching kids the basics of martial arts, focus on discipline both at the studio and AT HOME - another win for the program. We had to quit, unfortunately, due to other commitments - but overall the program was great. PK is great. They worked with our two boys, ages 4 & 6. They are real professionals and not only teach the kids about karate, but about listening, discipline, respect and so many other things that go in one ear and out the other when we parents teach them. I enrolled my son for the first week of summer camp (Angry Birds theme). I was left dissapointed when I realized that it was more of a high end baby sitting service. He watched a movie, went to the park and pool, did some Angry Birds crafts and minimal karate. My son had a great time there, but he was dissapointed of the lack of karate he did. Needless to say, I paid $240 for just two days of camp (should of been 4 days). Ouch! I do take responsibility for not asking the right kind of questions for what the camp would entail, but as a parent, I was hoping that the camp would have been focused on what they are in business for, teaching karate. Also, from what I noticed, Daniel wasn't there in the mornings or afternoons when I dropped and picked my son up, and my son mentioned that he would show up for a little bit. I gave them 2 stars because although my son enjoyed the two days he was there, the camp definitely did not fufill the learning expectations. As a karate school, I'm sure it's phenomenal, but they really need to revise their summer camp curriculum. I did let them know how I felt of the camp, and that I would not bring my son for the final two days, but I never got a response back from them. Now I wish I would get my refund back...Wish them the best of luck though. read more

I highly recommend Panda's Karate to come and visit your school or any program that involves kids presenting their "Sticks and Stones" anti-bullying assembly. This assembly was spectacular! Mr. Daniel is inspirational and speaks from his own life experiences giving kids strategies on how to handle bullies by using the power of their voice. The assembly was extremely engaging! Every student in the room was up on their feet participating and showing how to use each of the strategies. Plus some students got to go up on stage as volunteers! One of my favorite parts is the reminder that every child, bully or not, has a heart. Mr. Daniel has a naturally positive spirit that could light up any room and gives real life examples of bullying that our kids could be faced with. It was a great message overall and I am so happy that my kids and the students at our entire school got to learn the strength of their voice and strategies that will help them for the rest of their lives. Love this place! The owners/instructors are enthusiastic and work very well with the kids. My son has thrived so much since starting at Pandas Karate. He's become more focused and follows directions better. It has been a great thing to improve my son's bilateral coordination too. It is a fairly new facility and there is a little play area for younger siblings to play while the older sibling is taking a class. It is not overcrowded and you feel like your child isn't getting lost in the shuffle. What also is nice is that there is no contract and like the previous poster mentioned...the price is reasonable... so that is an added bonus. Hopefully, I can send all my 3 sons to Pandas karate, as soon as the younger ones become age appropriate. read more

Pandas Karate is a great place for kids to have fun, interact with other kids, learn martial arts, and most importantly get a good exercise. Mr. Daniel and all the instructors are always full of energy and make the classes fun but also know how to teach discipline to the kids. They always teach something new and then practice it enough so that the kids know what they are doing. At the end of each class, they have the kids play a fun game (usually a different variation of dodge ball) and they occasionally talk about life lessons allowing kids to address difficult topics like bullying. Once in a while they offer a "parent's night out" party for the kids and those are always very nice because the kids can be dropped off and parents can go out for about 3 hours, they also offer camps, and birthday parties. I also like that they are very flexible and willing to accommodate parents needs. read more
