So how does reality hold up relative to the movie? The facility takes up a large basement, and clearly a lot of effort and expenses have gone into the various pieces of equipment. Two of the rooms have a very heavy "dungeon" feel, with concrete flooring, walls like - well - in a dungeon, etc. Ming's palace is a little different different, as is the training (school) room and the medical room (I suppose - I've never used that one). Here are various further observations and comments of mine, in no particular order: Several of the rooms are very large; quite generous for NYC standards. The "furniture" is very well made and clearly quite expensive. The "waiting rooms" have a rather run-down feeling to it (sumptuous chairs?!). They could use some overhauling - unless, of course, you are into this look and feel. The consultation was very friendly and helpful. Things like booking, pricing, email responses and such are run poorly and rather unprofessional. I once tried to book 5 days in advance, and was told rather rudely that they couldn't book more than a day in advance (first, they could have told me so in a friendly way - what's so absurd about my request, and second, this would be really useful!).
