I even have a short follow-up scheduled three weeks after my appointment so they can take a look at my ink after it has healed and to go over areas that may need some touching up. I get a real kick out of talking with people who are passionate about what they do, so my hours in the chair with Kevin just flew by. I'm a relative noob (this was only my second tattoo), so I'm sure I must have been asking the most ridiculous questions, but everyone in the shop seemed eager to share their expertise. We had a little bit of trouble finding the place as he doesn't have a sign yet, but once we found it we were pleasantly surprised. Once inside you're met with a very clean waiting room with comfortable seating. It's a very calm environment which is important when you're having anxiety about getting a needle shoved through your body. Jay was very laid back, funny, extremely informative and knowledgeable. He was also understanding and did what he could to calm my nerves. It's been probably 18 years since I had gotten a piercing so I was a tiny bit on edge. He answered every obnoxious question my friend and I had without getting annoyed... if he was annoyed he certainly is good at hiding it. The entire process was really quick. I appreciated that because the longer something takes...the more time I have to get worked up over it. Once he was done he explained where the used needles go and where he sends the tools to be sterilized. When it came time to pay he went over what to use for cleaning. He didn't try to sell us what he has and even said we can find it cheaper elsewhere. My friend and I bought it there as it's convenient and we respected him for his honesty. Overall, he was very nice and if I ever need another hole put in me...I'll let Jay do it.

I asked for my second lobe piercings and the piercer was nice but my piercings ended up crooked and not even at all. If I didn't have a gift certificate I wouldn't go here at all. The prices for basic piercings are reasonable but I expect at least for my piercings to be even. Overall I would never recommend going here all the staff from the Willimantic store to the Storrs one are just so unprofessional. Do not come here for a piercing! Just unwelcoming and unprofessional people and atmosphere.
