I have went Three times each on days that they are open and the doors have been locked, despite having the open sign on and no posts that they are closed for that day. They are extremely unprofessional and do not have any respect for their customers! The service I received after going just because I had a Gift certificate was just not good. I asked for my second lobe piercings and the piercer was nice but my piercings ended up crooked and not even at all. If I didn't have a gift certificate I wouldn't go here at all. The prices for basic piercings are reasonable but I expect at least for my piercings to be even. Overall I would never recommend going here all the staff from the Willimantic store to the Storrs one are just so unprofessional. Do not come here for a piercing! Just unwelcoming and unprofessional people and atmosphere. read more

Everybody on the Eminence staff will treat you with respect, embrace your creativity and turn your ideas into works of art while making you part of their family. Everyone here is passionate about their craft. I got my first tattoo here when I was 16 and working with Fame was an incredible experience. He is so easygoing and a brilliant artist. In this shop I paid 150 a hr. My artist stopped every 2-3 mins to neurotically talk with his coworker. When I say stop I mean this guy stopped tattooing and I'm sitting there paying for it. This is either a tactic to milk the clock and charge extra or the kid forgot his meds and couldn't focus. Either way it led me to over pay, and not enjoy the place. I felt manipulated, I kept track on my phone. Bro milked a extra 30-40 mins on the clock just yapping instead of focusing on the permanent cosmetic surgery that he was performing. The place is run by a scrub who was kicked off of a bummer reality TV show and now he thinks he's a tattoo celebrity it's funny. Look up "fame" not joking. The owner calls HIMSELF "fame". Ironically... not famous at all. Go to a real tattoo shop this is a very weird environment. Hated my experience. Just research the owner and you'll see what I mean! Anyone who nicknames themselves "fame" likely has an ego complex. Naturally that will reflect onto the shop and the employees are a product of this. Owner is his biggest fan. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR NIPPLES PIERCED AT EMINENCE INK IN STORRS!!! I got mine done a few months ago and recently had to get them removed due to infection. The piercer who removed them told me that not only did the man at Eminence use curved bars (which are unsuitable for nipple piercings), he also pierced too deep and into the areola instead of the nipple itself. I now have to wait 6 months for them to heal fully before I can even think about getting them repierced. I have a friend who had the same thing happen to hers when she got them pierced at Eminence. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly, but the piercer is not trained to properly pierce nipples and I would advise against going here for any kind of body piercings. read more

Do not come here for piercings. I got my conch pierced here a few months ago, it was swollen for weeks after and then developed irritation bumps that increased in size until I went to another piercer and they had to remove the jewelry. They said I had been pierced incorrectly with a curved barbell instead of straight, the reason for the huge irritation bumps. The piercing cost $80+ tip which is now wasted. Only plus was that the piercer was very nice and friendly. Also, a sterile saline solution should be used to clean piercings, not tea tree oil or bactine. Do not recommend for piercings. read more

Super cool place. LOVE the atmosphere- music and artwork really chill you out and calm the nerves a bit. Only complaint is we started 45 min after our scheduled appointment, but that's just a clerical error. The staff is super personable and seem passionate about what they do! Sabrina did my tattoo as well as my friends and was awesome. She made sure we were comfortable, was great at casual conversation, and the artwork was exactly what we wanted. I had a horrible experience with Eminence Ink! I found the service to be completely unprofessional. They stole my deposit! I put down a deposit for my tattoo, with tattooist Anthony and paid Milz Marley(that's what she calls herself) directly. I showed up the next week and called 5 minutes before I walked in an spoke to Anthony directly. He told me to come in and he would be ready. I got there and he acted as if we never spoke and told me that my appointment was scheduled for 4:30 and he had another client he was getting ready to tattoo. I showed him the business card that he gave me stating that my appointment was 12:30. Milz got real Ratchet telling me that my appointment was at 4:30 and started talking about me to other customers that she didn't like my attitude. I threw through the business card on the counter, instead of her hand. Milz became more unprofessional, yelling I wasn't getting my tattoo or my refund. The owner, Fame took my number and claimed he would contact me about the refund and never did... I sugggest you NOT leave a deposit and have ALL day to wait! I will take my $500 else where.. I had a tattoo re-colored because the tattoo I had was not done in the vision I had. Sabrina Bonez recolored this tattoo and exceeded my expectations! She was very professional and really listened to my vision. She went the extra mile to make me happy, even though this shop did not do the original tattoo. Bravo! read more

I came here to get a piercing while my friend got a tattoo. Her tattoo came out great. They do great work in that regard. I got my navel pierced and honestly was one of the most traumatic piercing experiences I've ever had. She didn't trace it right and ended up using her hands to push the jewelry through my skin after pulling the needle all the way out halfway. One of the most painful things I've gone through. Would not recommend for piercings. read more
