Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us, spoke English, and seated us immediately. The dining area is well-lit and spacious, offering a variety of seating to choose from. The menu has an excellent selection of food options with English translation underneath for better understanding. I chose the lemon pasta, and my husband chose the black pepper pasta. We shared a salad, an order of grilled prawns, and two delicious cold Peroni draft beers. We shared a homemade pastry made of fresh whipped cream, fresh berries, custard, with a flakey crust for dessert. I highly recommend trying this place if you're in the area. It's an easy spot to walk to from the hotel and serves up delicious Italian food with a pleasant, relaxing ambiance

I had the pasta with lobster sauce and I was surprised to find half a small lobster on top. The portions were large and delicious. My wife had the Gnocchi which was heavenly. With wine and 2 delicious courses we were around 70 Euro. The service was slow, but that's Italy. The walk back was safe, but not well lit. The biggest danger was stepping in dog poop. Highly recommended (the restaurant, not stepping in dog poop). I heard that the Cavialeri concierge actually recommends this place and you should get reservations if you aren't there right when it opens. The restaurant name is actually Da Luciano.

They have a buffet table or you can order off the menu. If you want the buffet the table isn't ready until about 7.30pm so keep that in mind. The first time we came here we had the mixed bruschetta plate which has tomato bruschetta, olive paste bruschetta & a stringy vegetable bruschetta. For our main course hubby & I shared the mixed grill plate (beef, veal, chicken, sausage) with side orders of roasted potato & grilled veggies. For dessert we had caramel pannacotta. It was all so good we cleaned our plates & the dessert bowl. Tonight was our second time at the restaurant. This time we had the bruschetta plate but asked only for the tomato bruschetta & olive paste bruschetta. Hubby also had the Parma ham. Which was a ball of buffalo mozzarella & prosciutto. For our main course we both had grilled steak with a side order of roasted potato & grilled veggies. We left just as satisfied as last time. This place is so close to our hotel. Sure enough, there was a line but it moves fairly quickly, especially since you can watch Chef Luca through the window passionately creating his delicious pasta dishes. When a table opened up, Chef waved us in and we took a look at their chalkboard menu to see what was available that day. Then, we walked up to the counter to place our order. The food was so good, with generous portions and reasonably priced, that we came here twice! On our first visit, both my daughter and I had Cacio e Pepe (I asked for shaved truffles on top of mine - so good!) while my husband couldn't resist getting a slice of their daily lasagna. We went a second time the night before we left as a nice bookend to our time in Rome. Of course, there was a line! But we made friends with the others in line - some from France, some from Argentina, some from Germany. Chef came out with a bottle of wine for us all to share and thanked us for waiting. Cheers! In looking at the photos, the carbonara definitely was calling my name. I do have to say that they might have cooked mine too fast/hot as the carbonara was slightly less smooth/creamy, hubby got the Oxtail Pasta and having worked with oxtails in the past as a home cook, I think they could have stewed it longer to have the meat more tender, but the flavor definitely was there. Portions are huge, I would say it would appear to be slightly larger than the American size I'm used to. The service was amazing and the food tasty with very reasonable pricing. Chef will get on your case if you're with someone but scrolling on your phone. Dinner is meant to be eaten without phones interrupting.
