    Cafeteria style Dining
    R. W.

Not sure why this Panera gets under my skin so much. Maybe here are a few reasons. PS. This is my 2nd review. 1. No cozy or comfortable dining. Again I reiterate this place is nothing more than a high school cafeteria with comparable food. 2. Food quality compared to local deli's and sandwich shops is soooo substandard. I would assume Mother Panera Company forces their franchises to sell this mediocre food based on their hired in chef's creation. Wasn't there at one time a board meeting where a food tasting occurred? Here is what I hate. You are charging the customer for a higher quality food, why not Give what they paid for? So no quality and no quantity. Look at portion within. Shame on them. 3. Today dined in and sat down waiting for Order. Nobody called me when ready and soup was lukewarm when I figured it out that the food must be sitting in window. I was so hungry I just ate it. 4. I only live very local so I keep coming back for more. People love abuse, looks like I am one of them. 5. Why not complain in person? We'll this time around a manager was getting reamed by an on phone customer who was not at all happy with their order. Within 15 minutes they arrived to the royal treatment of a new replacement order plus a next visit on the house. Whatever it was. I mean wake up Panera. 6. Panera, I don't want to knock you but you give one all the ammunition any reviewer could desire.

An order of the small Mac and cheese which cost almost $9.00

Average Panera but it is so incredibly cold inside I can't enjoy anything. I'm wearing a winter jacket and still can't get warm.

I read good things about Nazar recently so was itching to try it. I came on a weekend around…read morebrunch time and there were already a bunch of people who had ordered and were waiting for their food. There seemed to be a decent amount of seating inside and all of the stuff displayed looked very good. I ordered the Adana Kebab ($16) to eat in. With tax included, it came out to $17.33. They had a big pot of tea for customers in the back so I got a cup of that as my beverage and it went pretty well w/ the kebab meal. It seemed like they prepared my food fresh, so it took a little while for it to come out, maybe about 15 min. The food was really good overall. The meal came with 2 kebabs and rice, a piece of bread, and a side salad. All of it was very solid. The bread was good, maybe not mind blowing, but tasty. The side salad seemed freshly prepared and was actually very good and crunchy w/ the red cabbage they put in. The rice was good too. The star of the show was def the kebabs. They were slightly on the smaller side, and I wished I got a little bit more of them w/ the meal. They were really satisfying though and I could've ate another 2 kebabs easy. I really enjoyed my meal (it was the highlight of my day) but my reviews always end in a value analysis, and I think the value was a bit lacking in my experience. I would consider $17.33 to be a lot for what I got. The meal should've been closer to $12 at most in my opinion. I can definitely see why this place is highly rated though, and look forward to trying it again at some point down the line.

Not only is the staff extremely fun and lighthearted, but they know their stuff and they have wonderful recommendations. I particularly love all of their specialty raviolis, their Barada raviolis, and some of the best vodka sauce I've ever had. I probably should've read the recent reviews instead of just looking at the amount of stars. I was…read morestarving and had no groceries in my fridge so I decided to give this shop a try. I was starving so anything would taste good - you would think. Based on previous pictures they seemed to give a generous amount of protein (2-3 pieces stacked of chicken in chicken parm pics). I'm not really a sandwich person because I find it quite rare to be wowed by them besides some really good ones on the must eat sandwich list of nyc. I agree with other reviewers that it's odd how there are no prices listed when previously they had the prices written. That does make the cost subject to change but I would hope that is that not the case on a daily basis. I ordered based on the yelp pictures and went with the chicken parm and big mitch. When we got the order. I was like wow these are big. The two sandwiches were a tad over $28. I was honestly surprised a sandwich cost this much but it does help that they are big and hopefully good. Anything is worth the price as long as it's good. I take a bite of the mitch and gave my partner a look. He's like let me guess, chicken is dry? Replied yeah..and no flavor. Maybe add more pesto and put it on both sides of the sandwich? Not sure. My Italian friend owns a shop in the boroughs and makes killer sandwiches. I don't know their secret for success that they always get long lines everyday but I do know you will never get a dry bland chicken. As for the chicken parm, there was only one layer of chicken! Man I was super disappointed. I specifically ordered this for more chicken. I understand why they put less sauce - so it's not soggy but maybe a tad more sauce would be helpful. This was equally dry and soggy. The cheese was really good and helped. I'm a huge supporter of local business, especially mom and pop shops. I think growing up in the boroughs really spoiled me with food choices. If you're hungry and just care about portion, I guess this is a good option around here. Honestly, I just drive back to the boroughs for food. Probably not economical and gas friendly but anything I intake needs to be worth my calories. I workout way too hard to consume food not up to par. This shop looks very clean and welcoming.

Ordering on the Chipotle app and picking up thru their chipotle lane at the Deer Park Avenue store…read moreis ALWAYS hit or miss. But mostly MISS. On October 6th at 7;50pm, this was the FIFTH time my order was either wrong or missing something. This time, the double order of Carne Asada was wrong. When I told them that the 2X carne asada was missing, the young girl at the window left with an attitude, and a gentlemen returned to the window instead. I explained that the 2x order of Carne Asada was missing. He says, "that's strange, because it's not listed on the label on the container". I thought to myself, "um, no kidding": I pulled up my order in my email confirmation to show him the order. He looked and said "ok , I'll fix it for you". There's nothing more frustrating than having to look thru a bag of three orders in your car, at night, to make sure it's correct, let alone, go thru your e-mails on your phone to show and prove your order was correct. The whole experience was absurd.. Plus my order of guac STILL ended up missing. Qdoba is building its new restaurant right across the street from this chipotle store on Deer Park Avenue. If Chipotle doesn't get its act together, I'll be sending my business to the competition on day one of their grand opening. Because $47.03 isn't worth the aggravation.
