Coffee - mid/okay Omelette- mid. Chunks of hard feta (no melt at all), not a lot of flavor. Burrito- tiny! We even asked if it was big and the sever said yes. It was about the size of a Taco Bell burrito. decent flavor. Home fries - tater tot vibes Service fine - kept having to ask for sugar. Gave me 3 at a time.

The Prefect Breakfast Spot, Giving you an experience of a diner and the elevated dishes that many people crave. Service was amazing and knowledgeable on the menu. I would definitely come back to the restaurant

Came here today with a group of 5 and I must say it never disappoints! It was my first time at the new location which they have down the street of the old one. So huge and spacious and it has windows which bring in so much natural light. I love the design inside. If you're coming on a weekend, definitely join that waitlist! It's super life changing. For example, today when we joined there were 37 parties ahead of us. I would say it moves pretty quickly at times so we were able to get seated sooner than the estimated wait time was. I will say our server wasn't very involved with our table- we even forgot who it was. I will say today however, my Little Italy panini came out missing chicken. I had to ask a different person to fix it which he did promptly. Here's what we had: French Toast Bites- a MUST! always. Between the 5 of us we ended up doing two orders. We also added Nutella on the side Little Italy panini- other than the chicken mishap, everything was delicious as always. Chicken and Waffles- my friend got this and generally enjoyed them but she hoped for the chicken to be crispier than it was given the description it had on the menu. I had some to taste and I would personally say the chicken is seasoned but seasoned a bit too strong.

Brownstones has always been one of the brunch staples on Long Island. I am so happy the West Islip location has now expanded as well as it's parking. I recently went to this new location with a friend and both of us could not stop raving about how good the food and coffees were. Also thank you to the waitress for suggesting substitutes when I asked for no meat on my food. I cannot wait to return!

What more can I say?..... This establishment is overall 5 stars. The food, the service and the restaurant was all excellent. Went on a Monday morning and the place was not crowded but it was full. It was pretty clean and all the wait staff were great. The food is top notch. The reason I took a star off was because you pay for every item. For example, if you order pancakes you would have to order eggs and bacon as side items. All the individual prices were expensive. It's no combos. But WTH? Would I be back? Yes. In a heartbeat. Was it worth it? Yes.

Such a cute little spot! It felt like a diner in a movie. The host was super nice and the food was delicious. My favorite food from here was the fluffy pancakes. It was really good and the fruits were very fresh and tart. I would come here again.

Went to brunch at this new spot near home on west Islip. Got there on a Sunday around 1100 & had to wait about 45mins. It was well worth the wait as the food was delicious, the drinks were great & they even had seasonal ones for the holidays. Our waitress Kristen was great & kept us covered with the hover. Much appreciated. I'll definitely be back with a bigger crew.

The waitress was funny, patient, knowledgeable, just had a great aura. I instantly liked her. Service was quick, staff were patient and we didn't feel rushed.decor is really cute and not overdone. Food was delicious! Get there early, we left at 10am and there was a line already to the outside door. I you're looking for a great breakfast place to go to, try here!

Such a great brunch spot! The food is always spot on and delicious. They have something for everyone! Service has always been friendly, helpful and pretty quick. Our favorites have been the hungry feast (basically a breakfast sampler), hash and eggs, grilled cheese and soup (special) and also the scramble!! Highly suggest!

Not from around here and we visited after my daughter's testing at the hospital she wanted breakfast food. I chose this place based on reviews but I tell you next time I am around here I am picking a basic diner since they usually can't mess up breakfast! - Good things: The service was friendly and courteous and the decor was updated new and comfortable. It was impeccably clean as well. I liked that my tea was organic and in a huge tea cup. - My husband's cobb salad looked amazing and everything was chopped small - Things not so great - Toast did not come with my eggs sausage and potatoes. When I realized this it was offered at $1.95 no biggie since the place has to stay in business but why not tell me beforehand usually toast comes with the breakfast but I assumed this was a diner which it sort of isn't. One of my sausages was undercooked and so were my daughter's pancakes which she asked me to taste saying they tasted off. We also felt rushed out. It seems like there was no love in cooking the breakfast meals and the cook rushed through cooking them since the sausage and pancakes were both underdone. It might have been an off day but I won't risk coming here again.

My mom and I come here for lunch dates often! The staff is so nice and accommodating, the food is always delicious and consistent, and while sometimes it gets a bit chilly in there, there are no serious complaints from us whatsoever about the place! Brownstones is a must if you're a Long Islander!

I always crave potatoes, for breakfast. So I found this place on Yelp, and it's a neat find. It's really convenient since it's on the way on my commute off the Sunrise highway. Outside it looks kinda shabby, but inside the space is huge for a coffee shop. I ordered the cinnamon dolce cold brew, with a round potato knish. I was kind of confused because I didn't know understand why they had square potato knish, and round potato knishes. But looking at them the square one had a traditional fried outside, while the round one was more less traditional. The server said the round one had a bit more potato in it. So I opted for that one. The cold brew was prepared quickly and she didn't charge me extra for asking to make it with almond milk. It came to $3.50 for a small. The round knish was $3.99. And she gave me a warm tasty one. My total came to $8.14 with tax. I saw the giant spinach pinwheel that look like they're made with pastry dough rather than pizza dough and I definatly want to try them next time!

I was a little hesitant after my first experience but they were listed in my LI Cafe Passport book I got for Christmas and I want to go to all the spots in that book even if I'm revisiting. My second experience was much better so I'm upping my review to 4 stars. The staff was nicer this time. I opted for a pour over because that's what the book recommended and I got the cherry vanilla latte as well with half and half. I was able to sit in the coffee shop because I had dropped my son off at a birthday party and had a little time before I picked him up. I caught up on watching Friday Night Smackdown before elimination chamber with headphones on of course so I wouldn't disturb other people and I finished a book I was reading. The seating was nice, an optional variety of different kinds of seats and lots of seating. The latte was very smooth, you could definitely taste the coffee more in the pour over but that was good, the coffee went down nicely, not a lot of bitterness. So Jack Jack's redeemed themselves in my eyes almost ten years after my first review and I would be able to recommend going to them. Babylon Bean will still be my favorite coffee shop in Babylon but both of them are nice to visit. Original Review: March 22, 2016 I came here after picking up my jacket from the dry cleaners. I didn't like it very much at all and am happy to say my heart and my business will continue to go to the Babylon Bean! The baristas did not seem happy at all when they helped me. They weren't rude but they weren't sweet or nice either. I chose a brownie to eat and got a cup of regular coffee. The coffee was okay, not horrid but for sure not great. The brownie was disgusting. I couldn't eat the whole thing ended up throwing it on the ground for the birds to eat. This place also has a hipster vibe, sometimes I can dig it but sometimes I can't. So in my personal experience if the babylon bean and this place had a throw down I would always favor the bean!

This is a man who simply refuses to cut corners. My family and I have been loyal customers for nearly 8 years, and what's remarkable is that it's just as mind-blowing today as it was the very first time we walked through the door. That kind of consistency is rare -- and it speaks volumes. Over the years, we've brought roughly 40 friends and family members here for the first time. Every single one of them has raved about it. The Brixton is a beautiful restaurant with very relaxed and casual vibes. The word around town is that their drinks are awesome. What about their food, though? They originally would not seat us in the middle of the afternoon because most of the empty tables were reserved. We had to request to sit outside, which was empty, before they decided to serve us. Odd that they did not even offer that to us. The General Tso' Cauliflower was the only great thing served to us. It is incredibly crispy and flavorful. You almost forgot that you were eating a piece of vegetable at times. The Short Rib Brisket Sesame burger was shocking. $18 for two White Castles-sized sliders. It was easily consumed, and I was left much to be desired. This is most definitely an appetizer item, not an entree. The Chicken Waffle was good. Nicely deep-fried and packs a lot of flavor. The waffle looked dubious. If I had to guess, it might not be mad fresh to order. Essentially, it's 3 drumsticks/wings over a possibly frozen Eggo waffle. I would recommend a second dish if you are looking to get full. The Steak frites and Eggs Benedict were the final dishes served. It is hard to mess these dishes up, but the ribeye was nicely seasoned and cut up. The dishes were nicely displayed. Overall, this is just an OK experience. When the deep-fried cauliflower appetizer is the most memorable dish here, it is quite alarming. Portion sizes are on the small end, and none of the flavors for the entrees really stuck out.
