I placed an order and it was suppose to be done at 12:16pm. I arrived at 12:08pm so I was early which I understand I would need to wait to the expected time or even a bit longer would be ok. They did greet me and asked about my order and I said I arrived early so take your time. However I didn't expect when I said take your time they would take another 20 mins plus. So around 12:30pm I was like is my order ready yet because as I waited there was at least 10 customers that placed their orders as walk in and all walked out before my order when done. A lady came in I would say around 12:20pm ordered and saw me waiting and said, boy you been here for awhile. I stated yeah. So when I did ask the a lady in a red shirt was like well you arrived early so I was like yes and I wait patiently and I see customers coming and going. I stated that I arrived early but the order was placed online and was suppose to be ready by 12:16pm. It's now 12:30pm. She gave an attitude. She's like well you don't want your food raw right. Said I been here for some time now and people came ordered and left. She ignored me and turned her back to me. I know plenty of Mike's, none of which are from Jersey. But apparently this Jersey-based sub shop knows enough Long Islanders to open a handful of locations. A couple weeks ago I ventured off to this Commack location with my buddy and we learned all about Mike and his NJ eatery. From the start I loved the ambiance. It's got this "down by the sea" kind of feel, but of course more of a Jersey Shore vibe (not THAT Jersey Shore. The actual, physical, oceanic one). I know the place is a little chain-y and you might start to wander into the realm of that other "sandwich" spot, but things are a little better than that. A little. The menu breaks things down into hot and cold subs as well as wraps and some chicken choices. I went for "The Super Sub" which consisted of provolone, ham, prosciuttini, and cappacuolo. Now from here you can choose your toppings or get it done "Mike's Way." When in Jersey Mike's I might as well do as JM does and get this style (onions, lettuce, tomato, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and spices). Then you've got your sizes. I don't think I qualify as a growing boy anymore but that regular size just looked deceivingly small...and so I ordered a giant for myself. Needless to say, I polished off the whole thing. Let's call it a need to eat/mild enjoyment of flavor because I wasn't too impressed with the sammy. The meats didn't have much palate recognition and instead I tasted "Mike's Way" more than anything else. There was enough going on to plow through it, but I wasn't content in my fullness. My buddy had a hot sub in meatball and cheese which he mildly enjoyed, but stated he wouldn't order it again. I don't know Mike, I don't know. One pro was the extremely friendly and helpful staff during the ordering process. I felt welcomed and was given good explanation of everything on the menu as well as a little background info. To balance out that yin yang, a con would be price. Yeah the giant size sub was large, but for $13 I can get a more appetizing item elsewhere and for cheaper. Overall, Jersey Mike's might be better off back in Seaside Heights or Point Pleasant. Maybe it jives well as a meal down by the ocean so perhaps some time in the future I'll grab one of these pricy subs and bring it down to the south shore for some sun and some cold cuts. I haven't been to this location in awhile due to moving but it's horrendous. The employees act as if it's a hang out spot. The establishment is beyond dirty. The grill has old dry food The area with "fresh" condiments is dirty and has dried food The area where they cut the deli meat is repulsive The cabinet behind the counter have a layer of grease from where it's constantly touched. The register is covered in dried food since employees don't change their gloves The fountain drink... it's covered in fruit flies. Floors are dirty. It's a joke in there. And I don't necessarily blame the staff working. More so the management and/or franchise that is not keeping up. Health department will have a field day with this place. I was excited when I found out there was a Jersey Mike's here on The Island, and when I told my husband, he was psyched to go there and get lunch to take on the road with us as we were heading out of town. Problem is, while the service at this location was friendly, they got his order completely wrong... they just flat out made the wrong sandwich and he didn't realize it until they were already putting all the fixings and dressing on. He decided not to say anything, so that part is our fault, but we were the only people there so it's not like they were so busy as to excuse mistakes. The sandwiches always taste good, but it's just way too expensive for what it is. Not only can you get much cheaper heroes at Subway (even with double meat), but honestly, I'd rather go to a really good deli and get a hero, and at least by my house, it would still be cheaper. Price alone would keep me from going to Jersey Mikes regularly. I seriously think when it comes to price vs taste and value, we'll probably never go again, at least not here locally... only out of state when finding a good deli proves difficult. read more

Are use my app I located a nearby Jersey Mike's to order a different sandwich that I've had before. Got a smaller sandwich with double meat; that's a good strategy because nobody needs all that bread. I requested a combo on the app and paid for it using my credit card but of course when I got there the sandwich was waiting but no combo so I had to take money out of my pocket and pay for the combo; no big deal but it kind of defeats the purpose of the convenience. Ok. My 25 year old daughter and I were looking for someplace to have an early dinner yesterday, Fri July 22. We were set to go to MO's for Mexican but as we're headed there, I saw the sign for Jersey Mike's and I said let's try it. Then we got in parking lot and we had several choices including the new Chinese place Mogu, a pizza place and Jersey Mike's- what to do- well, I thought Jersey Mike's would be "healthy choice". Lol. So- we went in. Menu looked real good- so I ordered the Big Kahuna- grilled chicken onion peppers cheese. They asked me what size- they only had one type of bread. They said giant or regular- being a big eater and at this point starving- I went for giant. Also lol. Not close to giant size in my opinion. The chicken was a flat patty that they scrunched up. Yes- I could have canceled or reconsidered- but I didn't. My daughter got turkey sub. Reg size. Smart girl. My sandwich tasted ok but was beyond gross. Not even sure what the meat was. It was warm mush. Also- they made a mistake I only got the Reg size. They charged me for giant. I could have stopped right there and have them amend my bill but admittedly the animal that I am, I said bring me the other half for home- Please, don't waste your money on this place. You have options. Go to a Subway. Even go to Dugans and get a sandwich- I previously had an issue there but all good now. The sandwich was piled high with crispy, fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Also had the #26 Chicken bacon ranch. It is served hot. The order was to go and I think that the drive home made the #26 soggy on the bottom half of the bread. Still good but not as good imo as the #2! They were quite busy and still need to iron out the kinks but overall the staff were friendly and efficient. I recommended Jersey Mike's to my family as I was chowing down on my sandwich! Now found it here in Commack and I love the 3 standard size subs, the cold cut meat and the bread seems way better than Subway's, plus service is quick! I honestly can't believe out of all of Long Island I was blessed to have Jersey Mikes open 3 min away from my home in Commack. As someone who lived in jersey till 2011, there's just something about a jersey style sub that can't be matched. I tried a number of delis who had "hero" sandwiches and they just weren't the same. There's something about getting the meat sliced right there and having the right amount of oil vinegar and spices that make the sandwich great...just so fresh and satisfying. There aren't many things better then a #5 Mikes way with hot pepper relish...other than some sub places (Tastee, Ye Olde Sub Base) in Jersey that I can go to maybe twice a year while visiting friends and family. My go to place for cold subs from here on out! So freaking happy! read more

Vegetables are freshly sliced as well. Generous portions piled high with simple additions like mayo, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. Staff here were super friendly and helpful and the kitchen was very clean. They also offer catering services. Well my wife and I just decided today to try out JM. I had a roast beef hero with lettuce tomato and mayo on a white hero. The cost was pretty high 13.00 for a hero so the expectation was high. You can see by the photos the product. Being use to paying 13.00 for a good amount of roast beef on a hero this certainly disappoints. More like a 8.00 hero. Limited roast beef lots of lettuce. Amazingly disappointed and will not be going back. Value isn't there for the price. read more

I really did not want to come on here to write such a negative review, but after contacting customer service and their lack of care it has given me no choice but to leave such a review. This is my second visit to a Jersey Mike's Sub restaurant. I had a very good experience at the Farmingdale location that recently opened. Last night my bf and I decided to try the Commack location due to the convenience. All I can say is WOW. What a difference and I am so turned off by both my experience in store and dealing with customer service that I will never give them my business again. I will say the staff is very friendly and humorous, making my ordering experience a pleasure. As far as the sub, the bread was stale as it was sitting out on the counter when I walked up, and the cold cuts were tasteless, bland and just...not good. For dinner for two that cost over $20 it is extremely disappointing and dissatisfying. Upon returning home I realized we were OVER charged for our subs. ::sigh:: That's when I contacted customer service...what a disgrace..who basically did not want to recify the situation in any way and told me its like this at all the locations. Good answer? Oh,okay. Please do yourself a favor, do not even bother going. Give your hard earned money and business to your local deli or hell, go to Panera Bread. Never again!! read more

I'm super picky when it comes to cold cuts but my boyfriend dragged me in here anyway. I'm glad he did! I got the Italian and he got the roast beef. Both sandwiches were delicious. Meat was sliced thin just like I like it and they put a decent amount on the sandwiches. Shredded lettuce, thinly sliced onions and Tomatoes. I completed my order on my phone app and when I submitted it, I was told that delivery was not available. The buffalo chicken hero I got here was OK. I did not get the impression of getting my moneys worth or really enjoying the meal. The plan had been to treat myself, but ended up to be just focusing on having a caloric intake. The downsides of the experience were that the tables were not cleaned and that no forks could be found. The staff was very nice when taking our order, so I tipped them. My feedback for improvement would be to focus on the subs quality and improve the dining experience. The chicken in the sub felt almost blended and the blue cheese dressing tasted of pure chemical. When imagining the sub I was hoping for chunks of chicken with buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbs.
