Went to the new Panera Bread on Dusty - Fort Worth, TX. Twice I ordered the Chicken Avocado sandwich and both times I received the wrong sandwich. I believe I keep getting the Santa Fe, because it had peppers and tasted spicy. Drove all the way home and tried to call back but no answer at location. I truly like Panera bread but may have to use another location in the future or start checking my orders as I now know I cannot depend on the staff to get my order straight. I ordered online for pick up in the drive thru. The order process was easy and Apple Pay was an option so I didn't have to rummage through my work tote for my wallet. My food was ready when I arrived and the gentleman in the drive thru was nice and friendly. I'm 94% sure I ordered chipotle chicken and bacon flatbread and I'm 100% sure I ordered a cup of cheddar broccoli soup. I ate half the flatbread in the parking lot at work. I could've eaten the whole thing but I got full pretty fast. This thing was delicious!! Later for dinner I had the soup and it was as meh. It was tasty but not anything spectacular. I went through the drive through tonight and ordered a Pic 2, with a Water and a cookie and the drive through attendant tried to charge me $21. When I questioned it he said he charged me $4 for a soda. After I pointed out that it was a water he lowered it to $15. After driving 15 min back to work, I found it that he did not include the cookie that I paid for. When I called in, the man I spoke with kept laughing and told me to come back. I advised him he was a 15 min drive and asked for my card to be credited and he laughed and kept saying I would have to come back even though I told him I was at work and could not. YIKES! I'm still in the drive thru as I write this and I've been waiting on my food for a while. Not only did they hand me my drink and it wasn't full - (why am I paying for something that isn't complete??) but they are just goofing around in there and not working to get orders out in a timely fashion. I'm watching some kid bite his fingernails and then go back to making food, and everyone just hanging out in the back. I know there's a shortage of employees lately but that's not the case here. Pastries are right next to the register, so not sure why I would go to the pickup window, but every business has its system so I waited. I wasn't going to say anything, but I went to order breakfast this morning and now I'm really mad! Well first, the reason I'm downgrading this Panera is because last week when I got my egg soufflé there was a piece of plastic baked into it and also something crunchy that wasn't supposed to be there. That was gross. Ok, it happens sometimes though. I wasn't about to give up my four cheese soufflés and sausage sandwiches over a mishap. But this morning I went to order breakfast and through no fault of this location, I noticed that one of my favorite items is no longer offered, a sausage egg and cheese sandwich. They only offer bacon and steak now. I've been going to Panera for a LONG time, since college, when I used to walk a mile from my dorm to get a Sierra turkey sandwich. But every year they try to reinvent themselves by taking something off the menu and introducing some new crappy item. This year they introduced flatbread pizzas that taste like cardboard, crumby garbage. If I want a pizza I'll get it from somewhere that has pepperoni! I've been coming to this location quite a bit as I live close. The food is always hot and fresh and the service is always great! The staff are very friendly and helpful! I haven't seen an unhappy employee since coming here. The ambiance is pleasant and calming. The restaurant does come across as cramped at times, but it's still a calming atmosphere even when busy. If I could give this place a ZERO I would. I walked in at 8pm with my boyfriend to order to go. It was super quiet and we were the only ones at the counter ordering. As we got to the counter there was a man and a woman that appeared to be in training. No one greeted us, the man had his mask under his chin. We stood there for a few minutes while this man talked rather rude to the women in training showing her something. I asked if I could order to go and asked if I could order the chicken sandwich with basically everything on the side except the greens. In an over the top flamboyant way (obviously he was homosexual)in a snotty condescending voice he said WE DON'T HAVE greens and if you want them all we can do is put spinach on it. And before you come at us we could CARE LESS what this man's sexual preference is, but it has merit in this review and experience. The way he spoke made us feel like we were literally annoying the crap out of him and that he couldn't wait for us to be gone. The girl looked at him like how do I ring this up and he was just really not nice how he talked to her as well. Almost in a condescending manner to her, the same way he spoke to us. We then went to sit on the bench waiting for our order. At that point this man still with his mask under his chin wipes his hand all over his nose and face (hacking a little) while going right back to typing on his company's ipad. It was repulsive and made us want to not even get our food. I can see how Covid 19 spread like wildfire with hygiene like this. As we wait, in walks a very flamboyant homosexual customer and as soon as he waked in and spoke, the man behind the counter greeted him WITH HIS MASK on in an welcoming ecstatic way. Was super nice almost flirty with this customer even having small talk with him. We were not greeted not said welcome, we didn't feel welcome. He just started at us until we spoke. My boyfriend and I both looked at each other and were basically like wow we both just experienced reverse discrimination. I guess if we had the later sexual preference our experience would be completely different. Once again we don't care what is sexual preference, but the discrimination was blatantly obvious. We felt uncomfortable and angry. We both were very nice to both of the workers. The girl was shy but nice probably her first job. Everyone has to start somewhere. However, this man not only had repulsive hygiene and a sour snotty face and a condescending speaking manner to us and his coworker. Ironically under the pick section there was sign regarding Panera's commitment to cleanliness. I love Panera Bread however this location was by far the worst experience I've had. First I went to order one of their salads I enjoy, but they were "out of strawberries". My daughter has always loved their grilled cheese and couldn't wait to have it and it literally looked like plain bread on top and bottom, wasn't warm, not toasted and clearly not "grilled". The cheese however must have been "grilled" by itself because it was burnt. Coming up the the window the attendant told me "sorry we are out of bread" so I gave you chips instead and tried to hand me my bag. replied you are out of bread completely? I kindly said I really don't want chips, do you have any type of bread? I'm not picky, I'll take a slice of whatever you have left. No expression except a "huff" as he walked of with the bag. I also very kindly ask if they still offered the discount pastry when you ordered a meal. His reply was, yes but you have to buy drinks. Mind you we decided to get two smoothies at 4.99 each as our drinks. I clearly could see he wasn't friendly and I just wanted to get out of the drive through.(No cars or wait behind me) I look at my receipt and both meals show the drinks as smoothies even though I ordered them last! Unbelievable! I spend $28.31 for my 1/2 Salad, my daughters pick two splurged on smoothies and they couldn't offer us a discounted pastry? No strawberries or bread. For the second time in a row my order has been incorrect. I appreciate their customer service team for giving me a pick 2 in my rewards. I always order rapid pick up on my way to work. I went to sit down and each lunch today and and they forgot my dressing for my salad for the second time in a row and I ordered the Buffalo chicken flatbread and it had no sauce! It is so loud and so cold. Not patron loud - they keep the radio cranked SO LOUD and then staff are screaming over it. I have asked several times (as have others) to have it turned down and the requests go ignored. Many staff are told to get back to work as they are just sitting around. Out of their food a lot. Maybe they shouldn't be open yet as they have display stuff all over and tables are always dirty plus obvious ordering and staff training issues. It is way closer to me than N Arlington but I'll be going back to the Collins one. There's no reason this should perform as terribly as it is. Good location. Good design. I'm basing my rating off of the three times I have visited, as I realize giving a bad rating for my visit today would be somewhat unfair as I usually don't have a problem. The food is great. As you can see from my attached picture, I had The Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad, but as they were out of that dressing I went with the green goddess dressing. I don't know what it is but it tasted good. I had this salad last time as well. I've also had a chipotle chicken type sandwich that was very good. The strawberry smoothie was just ok for me. I felt it had a chalky taste/texture about it. Service is usually very good. They have a sweet lady who runs the food during lunch time. Today, that lady was just leaving work as I sat down. I sat right in front of the food window at one of their big tables. I saw the food come up and it sat there for a good 5-7 minutes before I went up and got it myself. This happened while there were at least 3 managers or front of house staff walking around, in front me with my number and the food window, without noticing. I'm making a small complaint sound much bigger, but when I'm paying $16.22 (with a $1 drink discount) for my lunch, I hate to see it sitting up there ready for 5 minutes during a quick lunch break while the employees aren't taking notice. But, it was one meh experience out of 2 others that went well so I'm still giving this place 4 stars. read more

I am a former training manager with Panera Bread in the St. Louis market. I always look forward to the great product and relaxed service at a Panera Bread. I have given this facility 3 different chances but they just don't get it. Tonight was relatively slow at this location. Two of us were looking forward to having a great experience at this location. We always use the kiosk to order the food. We like to take our time and try different combinations. We ordered two "you pick two's". Mine included a sandwich and an Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken, which needed a little more Asian sesame vinaigrette. My partner ordered a sandwich and a bowl of Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup. It took a while to get the product and the soup was just lukewarm. We took it back and it was just slightly warmer. Also, we both ordered frozen drinks which took much longer than our food. Order entry was good in the drive thru but it was the lady working the drive thru window when I pulled up that made such a positive and encouraging effect on me - in the few minutes I was waiting on my food. She was just the perfect person to talk with briefly and she really made such a great impact on my mood in those few moments. Employees like Alicia (not sure on spelling) - you need to cherish them. The service was really good in terms of getting my order taken, and even when they brought the food out. The manager apologized for the wait and even circled back around to see if the food was ok. There were some quality control issues, such as not having all the ingredients on my sandwich, but once I told him he immediately fixed it, apologized for the error and even offered me a free pastry-- I didn't take him up on it because I felt it was really minor and I was very happy with the customer service he provided. The pastry case is smaller here and they didn't seem to have some things but I don't know if that's because I came later in the day or if it's a smaller location than the one I'm used to. Their soup is amazing! I've never been to a Panera bread and this was a brand new one close to where I live too! It was so clean from the inside.
