They were only willing to make it right by either a refund or remaking the meal but not both. They said it was the district managers policy. Food Quality has gone down over the past year, inconsistent temperatures, cold soups at times, management is phenomonal, just the employees that fail to uphold decent standards. Specifically today, had to wait 10 minutes to be handed a bag in the drive through that was sitting at the counter ready to go. I could literally see a young woman grab the bag and hand it through the window, why does it take so long to complete simple tasks? No organized methods at a glance either. Items left out of the bag at times, items given sometimes the wrong size. I understand tickets get backed up and stressful situations with short staff shifts. However, when there is 2-3 people walking around/standing in the corner, you'd think one of them would notice a bag waiting to simply be brought to the vehicle waiting at the drive through window I've seen Panera's order and ticket system, and it's not that hard to read the screen. Sitting down in the restaurant is usually pretty good. One can sit down at an empty table and order from the Panera app on your smart phone. They should make the drive through online order pickup only. Great atmosphere and clean tables usually. I'd say hit or miss depending on how much effort the employees put in. Management has always been excellent The Panera in Spartanburg off 29 and I-26 is better in my opinion but the one in Greer is closer to home. read more

I love Panera but this place SUCKS! Placed an order on the app for two sliced untoasted bagels. Sat at the drive thru screen for 15 minutes before someone to help me. The car behind me was honking because we were there so long. When I pulled up there were two cars in front of me and it took 20 mins to serve one car. Listen. I got an order tonight from Uber Eats (great company, better than DD might I add), and it upsets me that they totally messed up my order. But wait: they also messed up my order through their own DRIVE-THRU last month. I'm typically a HUGE Panera advocate, but, these past two experiences have killed me beyond belief...! My wife and I really like Panera. It is a go-to when we want something quick. But, this location is absolutely horrible. If it isn't them getting your order wrong, it is them just forgetting items. The customer specifies what he wants and what not, and the bowl filler has to read the items from the screen and put them together - there shouldn't really be any mistakes. It is so bad that i want to give you a 0, but that's not possible. So i give you a 1. In all honesty, i have had very few positive experiences with this location. There is rarely a time that there hasn't been a problem with my order whether it's not exactly what i order or there are missing items. I often use the curbside service. I personally have never been informed when an item I've ordered is sold out. They just don't include it even though I've paid for it or they replace it with something else without asking me. I don't write reviews often and i hate to be mean but there are issues with this location that need to be addressed and fixed. It is the most convenient location for me, but i refrain from going because i know my order will be wrong and/or i'll have to wait forever. We purchased a dozen bagels around 3pm 0n 2/6/2024. Bagels were old & hard as a rock. There was a time when Panera was a great, albeit somewhat expensive fast-food meal. Over the past couple of years the price continues to rise while the quality and portions fall off. With that in mind, I ordered the U-Pick-2 and had a Steak with Arugula 1/2 sandwich and a cup of soup (Broccoli Cheddar). The sandwich was very skimpy with a literal small bite of cold old-tasting steak. The bread was very thin. The soup was okay though the cup continues to shrink. The Baguette was overcooked! To accompany my lunch I ordered a Lemonade and a $.99 Chocolate Croissant deal. The Lemonade is now fountain brand and the Croissant was good. The biggest problem was the $15.00 price tag. You can have lunch at steak houses for the price. I just can't go back and drop $15.00. The Steak sandwich was one-star at best-It was not very good. The soup taste was four-stars-the size will leave you wanting. The Lemonade was McDonalds grade though watered down at 3X the cost. The Chocolate Croissant was righteous and four-star good. We'll go two-stars overall with a price warning. A family of three will spend Outback money. Go local and you'll find better deals and food everywhere. read more

An expensive but delicious lunch. Panera's "clean" food is hearty and beautifully presented, but be prepared to pay more than your average lunch prices. My half strawberry chicken salad was huge, and would have sufficed on its own for lunch. I chose the combo, adding half a turkey avocado sandwich. This half sandwich was stacked high, with at least 1/4 of a fresh avocado, and plenty of turkey, lettuce and tomato on soft organic (?) bread. My husband ordered half a panini, and we also had two regular sized drinks. I like their self serve drink choices, which includes iced coffee and flavored tea. My wife loves Panera, so I met her with my daughter tonight for dinner. Don't get me wrong, Panera is decent, I can't say I've ever had a bad meal here, nor have I ever had a meal here I was overly impressed with. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. if you get cold easily you might end up eating outside as they keep the restaurant on the chilly side. Since I was joining my wife for dinner, we ate outside as she gets cold easily. I ordered a half-and-half (Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and Greek Salad). As always, the salad was fresh and lightly dressed, the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt tasted great and was well prepared. My wife and daughter got the same Chicken Melt and they both had bits of bone in theirs though I did not. They had not yet run out of Cinnamon Bagels so my wife was able to get her favorite treat from Panera. My son & I love grabbing some bagels ,juice for him ,iced coffee for me and then doing his school work at panera. It's a great break from the routine. This location is always clean and seems to be well managed. We've never had a problem. If you go on Tuesday you can score 13 bagels for $6.99! Word of caution though, make sure they bag you sweet & savory flavors separately, because trust me ..... An everything bagel flavored cinnamon bagel is the worst flavor combo you can imagine. First off, I was in the drive way for 15 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me. 2 cars behind me pulled out at the 20 minute mark and I pulled out and went inside bc I was craving a smoothie from Panera that I get every other day. I get inside and I wait another 30 minutes for a simple green smoothie. Not a large or medium, REGULAR SIZE. Finally I see something green slide across the table. Now I go to Panera a lot. There has never been a time where they put food on the counter and didn't yell the name or anything. I slides it with an attitude and walks away. I grab the guy and ask if this is my drink he says "idk" like he could care less. SIR, I'm on a whole lunch break and I do not have time. Can you get my food or not? I finally get my drink almost 45 minutes LATER. Break over and now I'm rushing back to the office. Your workers do not move in the kitchen very fast as any other Panera I go to. ESPECIALLY DURING LUNCH TIME. I didn't ask for a whole meal or a big bakery order. I ASKED FOR A SIMPLE SMALL SMOOTHIE. Will never come to this location again and waste my money and time because my smoothie was very lumpy and had large chucks of ice in that that I couldn't even use my straw to drink it because it kept getting clogged.
