All of them were good, but the pork was the one I kept thinking about. The broth was deeply savory, and the pork filling had the texture and flavor of a very good meatball hiding inside a dumpling. The crab and shrimp were close behind. The beef and chicken were solid. The truffle dumpling was a different animal altogether. It tasted like someone had taken a whole truffle and put it inside a dumpling. Truffle isn't usually my favorite flavor, but even I had to admit this one worked. We also ordered shrimp stir-fried noodles. The shrimp were cooked nicely and the noodles were perfectly respectable. Unfortunately, I am still haunted by the spectacular stir-fried noodles I had at Izakaya Ko a couple of weeks ago, and Zen's version had the misfortune of being compared to them.
