This is still the worst Panera I've ever been to. I moved from the area 6 years ago, and I had nothing but issues with them back then. Nothing's changed. The food will continue to be good, but the service is still crappy. In the past, we would experience issues every time we would place a group order for our small office. This time it was an order for a soufflé. I ordered ahead and watched order after order being prepared. When it was 5 minutes past my order promise time, I inquired about the status of my order and was told that they had to put it in the oven because they ran out - however, when I walked in, I saw multiple soufflés and only 2 orders placed before mine, so they basically sold my soufflé to multiple other people who walked in instead of preparing MY order. One of the managers actually offered me a free pastry which I appreciated, but I kindly waited for almost 20 minutes past my order promise time. read more

My husband and I were looking for a light dinner and Panera Bread turned out to be the right place. We got a cinnamon raisin bagel, chocolate chip muffie and a Sips drink to share. Fairly standard Panera location with all the usual favorites. Parking is very plentiful here in a large shopping center. The interior is spacious with all the usual decorations and the setup is nice for casually hanging out for a while. The food is served quickly and efficiently and has the usual fresh flavor you expect from Panera. I wish that some of the countertops were wiped a bit cleaner and supplies (like napkins) were stocked better throughout the store. read more

This location is ok. Been here several times over just as many years and have been more or less satisfied, but there are room for improvements. First, I think it takes longer to get your food at this location than other ones. Today we ordered a pickup order on the app and it estimated it would be ready at 12:20. We got there around that time but didn't get our meal until almost 12:40. I don't care that it took a bit because they do seem busy, just don't promise it'll be ready 20 minutes before it is, not meet that expectation, and then not give us anything for the inconvenience. The other improvement is sadly there for all Panera's: it's way too pricy for how much food you get. They probably can't help it since it's most likely set by corporate, but that's always been a bummer for me. On the good side, however, their food does taste really good, I like the new addition of the coffee subscription, and the store itself is always kept spotless. read more

Last year i went to this Panera and while waiting for my food i notice how dirty it was. Tables were sticky, flies everywhere, carpet was gross. This was during the summer so i thought it was the heat or something. I just went again a couple of days ago and its still the same or worse. Flies everywhere! Nasty carpet. So I made an order for the delivery and requested 2 cinnamon bagels with 1 walnut cream cheese 1.70) and then an additional tub of the same walnut cream cheese like 5.00. Sadly I can no longer recommend a place that has been a perennial favorite of mine. The menu has the same or similar casual fare, the workers are pleasant and efficient and the breads, soups and bagels taste the same. Unfortunately the place is a pit. Debris from prior diners littered the floor and tables, the drink station looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. Then to add insult to injury, the cost was outrageous. For 3 people our total came to nearly $50 for two 1/2 sandwiches with soup or salad and a flat bread pizza, with only 2 of their grossly overpriced, at $2.99, fountain drinks. I went here at 2 pm and there were about four customers in the building. We used the electronic machines to order. We had to wait 20 minutes for our food to be ready which is crazy because this was after lunch hour and they were not busy. I had asked for an apple on the side but instead got chips. I had to go back and get my Apple. It was pretty terrible food too. The bread bowl with soup I got was completely cold! What were they doing for those 20 minutes! And the sandwich I got was also warm as well. A salad was ordered as well without the dressing but it had dressing in it which was very sugary and ruined the whole thing. I go to Panera Bread weekly if not more. I usually go the one on the Belvidere oasis but occasionally check out the Rockford location.. that however won't happen again. My FULL sized sandwich is about half the size it normally is... and the Turkey is bright pink... I know it's not raw but it's not right either. August 28, 2021 Stopped inside at Knapp's Corner in Grand Rapids just before noon today. There were zero bagels available, and my two requests for soups were not available. The soup that was available was very good. The side apple was mushy. All the booths and table were filthy and had not been cleaned. I had to ask someone to do this. There was also trash on the floor behind the service counter and food scraps on the floor in the booth and table areas. I considered calling the health department. Both the inside attention and the parking lot are full of those that are doing deliveries. They need to set up a separate service area and food preparation for delivery. Good location with a drive through which is kind of cool. The location is close to state street and the service is generally good. Compared to other Panera's they seem to have a good selection of bakery items which often times other locations seem to run out of. The restaurant is a medium size and is generally kind of loud if you are trying to have a meeting, but there is plenty of table space for the number of people there. read more

So the reason for my 3 stars isn't the food because as all Paneras go they have great choices and food always taste the same. As for the service, they can always improve. Now the real reason for my 3 stars is the fact that this Panera has something against you coming in and wanting to do business. It doesn't have the welcoming environment that most paneras I have come to enjoy do. This location will limit you to only a choice of 3 tables if you are looking to use a laptop. I first began visiting Panera as a college student in Florida and it's what made me a fan of them. You can never experience "bad" when at a Panera. Although I don't go regularly here I found the menu and the flow of the restaurant easy enough. Ordered a turkey sandwich on sourdough with mayo. Simple yet they didn't make it right. However, mistakes can teach us most about a place. Sandwich maker duder was happy to remake the sandwich and unlike most places he chose to give the mix up to me anyway as "otherwise I have to throw it away." I cannot stand it when food goes to waste so this was neat to see. I was served Mac N Cheese even though I told cashier I wanted it taken off the order ... before I ever paid, yet still got charged for it. No worries. It tasted great! This was my first time using a Panera drive through and my experience was great. Luckily, it wasn't busy. We made it through as quickly as we would have in the restaurant, maybe even faster. The food was ready for us but then again we didn't order anything that was warm or toasted so that may take more time. I've been inside this location during lunch time and during the week, it is a nightmare. You are lucky if you find a spot. OK...forgiving the idea that I went to Panera while I'm doing a low carb thing (only nearby option for a decent cup of coffee while my car is serviced)...planned to just caffeinate but then I see "Ham and Swiss Soufflé" and I think, "eggs, cheese, ham...can't go wrong, I'll just forgo the bread side that is typically offered." Then, I was handed a bread-encased gooey egg/cheese item. I clarified, "oh, I wanted the soufflé not an egg croissant," only to be informed that was their version of a soufflé. Lemonade from lemons...I'll burn all my carbs for the week and just try it. Flavor was good but the gummy texture was a bit off-putting...however, the fruit cup was excellent so that helped. Oh, and I did get my fill of coffee, so all was forgiven. Side note, their salad and soup selections never disappoint and, when I eat bread, their sandwiches are excellent as well. read more

My review is based on the rapid pick up. I like that I can order for a later time. I ordered yesterday around 230 PM for pick up at 5. I got there and no order ready. Beware of the Kiosk Ordering!! We used this to "save time" and had gift cards to use up. After we ordered we did not get a receipt and we decided to double check our bank account (we used our debit card for part of the purchase). I am so glad that we did! They had taken our gift cards but not actually taken the money off of them, instead our card was charged the full amount!! We did speak with management and they are fixing this problem for us but I now have to wait on a refund. As far as food goes, the bread bowl is a overpriced option. I love the concept but you end up with less soup than if you even got a cup of soup it looked like. Their soups are delicious and I will order them again but just get a bowl not a bread bowl. Been a long time I haven't been here. At least over 3yrs, from what I noticed, nothing has changed. It's still dirty, tables still dirty, the floors still awfully dirty, with crumbs everywhere, the trash still flooding and the dishes still flooding in the tray. The food though still okay, but I feel like they are charging too much for so little. The device was quick and accurate, but I've herd multiple times that the accuracy has been awful and slow at times. The food was tasty, I had Mac n cheese with tomato soup (I mixed them). Update. Can't here a couple times, my order is always missing something. As well; kinda ridiculous that I have to get my bagel on the line where salads and etc is. Why can they donut like before. Which was quicker? Cashier/manager turned around got it slice/toasted and gave it to you right there. And was quick. It's slower agents down at the line. And inconvenient.
