Stopped in to grab dinner quickly and it felt like we were moving at half speed in there. I am pretty patient so it was not a massive issue but what was a surprise to me was the size of the food at Panera now. I got a half of a sandwich and a side salad and it felt like I was give a quarter of a sandwich and salad. If they are giving away something, I wasn't notified and I'm filing a complaint. *huff* not only was the parking lot packed, the line inside was insane. Thank goodness I place all my orders in the app ;) Located in the plaza with Hobby Lobby and Chipotle, the location is convenient. A corner unit with a beautiful patio as well. About 10 tables and 2 umbrellas allow you to enjoy the weather (if Ohio sees fit of course)! Not the most clean and tidy location by any means. Bathrooms consistently not so great and always could use some picking up around the seating areas. The staff? Wellll they can be rude and brash. When I got home with a carry out order I found that there was no turkey in my turkey sandwich. I had to go back (my second trip back in the last month). They were nice in replacing my sandwich and giving me a refund. I noticed the people making orders were not busy. Later I realized that of all the burgers and sandwiches I have ordered in my life, I have never had the turkey missing from a turkey sandwich. I never ordered a hamburger, and had it missing the patty of beef. There has always been chicken in the chicken sandwiches. It seems that this particular store doesn't have the basic business procedures in place to make sure that the orders are correct, or at least close. read more

I cannot make this up. keep in mind I eat at Panera at least 2/3 times a week AND I'm a sip club member and visit Panera at least 3 times a day during the week. I ordered through the app my sip club Pepsi tomato soup bowl and 3 Asiago bagels sliced and toasted. I called the store after noti it said Pepsi unavailable, I was told oh don't worry we have it you will get it. I also called before I ordered to be sure they will have Asiago bagels because if they don't have them they won't make them as they should or even tell you they jus let send your order without you knowing anything. so today I get my food NO Pepsi and bagels sliced but cold so not toasted. I went all the way home to realize i got a nasty ass rice soup when I asked for the broccoli and cheddar. I went back there and they told me I had to BRING MY SOUP BACK. I showed them a picture and everything and they would not give me my broccoli and Cheddar soup. I found it odd that they needed the soup to be present but they were just going to throw it away anyway. I used to love Panera! And honestly, every other location/experience has been so great...until this one. 1. The girl at the counter was extremely short and rude and we felt very rushed from the counter. That was a turnoff. 2. My mom got a soufflé, which granted, she didn't realize we're sitting on a warmer in the bakery section, but when she asked to warm it they told her to do it herself and pointed to the microwave near the coffee. At that point, you might as well have just gone to the grocery and bought a frozen breakfast right? I will say, in the end, the food was satisfactory. I wasn't overjoyed. I order from here sometimes and usually dont have an issue. I placed my usual order today and when it was delivered I noticed the baguette was not in the bag. not a huge deal of course, but when you pay more than it's worth for a bowl of soup it's a bit disappointing when the bread is not in the bag. I decided to call the store to see if there was anything they could do for me, possibly a refund or any sort of coupon. It may be extra but I wouldve taken no for an answer if the manager on duty could have just said oh i'm sorry we can't refund or anything for the baguett, it would be okay no problem I understand. but instead, whatever manager was on duty lunch time on 5/28, decided to respond with "soo you want a refund over a baguette" with the most condescending and passive aggressive tone. and yes i was rude right back afterwards because i have never been spoken to that way by a manager, let alone an employee. coming from someone who has worked customer service for 7 years, it was honestly incredibly unprofessional. read more

It was March of last year and my girlfriend at the time had tickets to the Tegan and Sara show in Cleveland. I agreed to go, which was a mistake all in its own. I wanted to grab some dinner before we left so she wouldn't have to listen to be bitch about how hungry I was, and how I had the capability to eat an entire orphanage. I pulled into the Panera in Kent, Ohio before getting on the freeway and ordered a chicken panini. I got in the car and opened the bag. Upon removing the sandwich I quickly realized, "Oh my God, this shit smells exactly like a turkey dog". You wouldn't think that a turkey dog and a hot dog have separate smells, but they do, I swear. I took a bite and not only did it smell like a turkey dog, it tasted like one. Something was obviously not right, but given the simple fact that I'm woefully ignorant, I used the logic that since I like turkey dogs, I'll continue to finish the entire goddamn sandwich. We get to the concert (which was held in a fucking high school auditorium, mind you) and find our seats. I get through the opening bands and the first fifteen minutes of Tegan and Sara boasting about the fact they're from Canada and are better than everyone else in the entire world before I realize, "Holy loose bowels, I'M GOING TO SHIT MY PANTS". This is not a situation any one wants to be in during a crowded concert. It was a life or death situation. Running to the bathroom and clenching your asshole shut at the same time is by no means an easy task. I make it to the bathroom and sit on the toilet. There was a moment of silence, it was like the calm before the storm. Suddenly, liquid fire begins rocketing out of my ass at 10,000 miles per hour, breaking the sound barrier and potentially ruining all of my internal organs. I was certain these were my final hours. I was expecting to look in the toilet and see all of my intestines. For some reason they had couches inside the bathroom, so I laid down crippled in fear that this was going to last forever, and began to sob. I never knew food poisoning felt this bad. I was dizzy and completely out of sorts. I'm pretty sure I texted her from the bathroom and told her to please come and put me out of my misery. I have to basically be carried to my car. I must have looked pathetic, people probably thought I was an incompetent drunk. My girlfriend has to drive us home because I was in no condition to operate a motor vehicle. As I'm curled in the fetal position in the passenger's seat, weeping like a four year old, It quickly comes to my attention that violent diarrhea was not the end of this. I was going to vomit. Vomit is an understatement. I grab a plastic grocery back and wrap the handles around each ear thinking it would be the absolute best way to capture all of the puke. I begin to barf, violently. It was like a scene straight from the exorcist. I didn't even know that I had that much liquid left in my body, especially after the incident in the bathroom. I filled the entire grocery bag and Girlfriend pulled over so I didn't get puke all over the car. Even after we pulled over, I was still throwing up. My puke had a pink hue, which lead me to believe I was hallucinating. It must have been 2 gallons. Literally. The puking and shitting finally stopped, and we went back to our friends apartment to sleep. The last thing I remember is dramatically throwing myself onto the bed like I had just survived the holocaust and then I passed the fuck out due to the fact that shooting lava out of my ass and mouth had taken a severe toll on my poor body. This was probably the single most traumatic experience of my entire life, and looking at a panini gave me instant flashbacks. The kind of flashbacks your grandfather may have of Vietnam. That bad. Looking at a panini would render me immobile and cause panic attacks and diarrhea. Its been about a year since this incident, and I'm just now getting over it. I still can't eat a fucking panini, though. Fuck you Panera, fuck you for giving me the worst day of my life. read more

It's glorified hospital food. I don't like Panera's anyways but I went to this one because it's what my grandma wanted. We spent 30 dollars for two people. When my grandma was eating her soup she found a clump of what she thought was a bandaid in her food. Naturally we both started freaking out because it wasn't ours. I went up there to return the soup and ask for the money back on it. Then the cashier proceeded to say that it was only a piece of napkin, that wasn't our because we hadn't touched our napkins yet. And she made it seen like it wasn't a big deal and that " it's only a napkin" she didn't offer me a refund or a different bowl of soup. 10 out of 10 would not recommend Panera at all but especially wouldn't recommend this one. read more

Always have issues with an order. I ordered the pick 2- Chicken Caesar salad and broccoli cheese soup. I received Italian dressing instead of Caesar. I went up to get the correct dressing and the employee was very lazily standing around and had no sense of urgency to get me the correct dressing or apologize for the mistake. Panera Bread has been my favorite restaurant since first trying it back in 2011 and this is my favorite location. Everyone is always friendly and the food is fresh and made with care. I like how eating at Panera makes me feel like I've made a healthy choice, even if something is higher calorie, due to the food being clean and natural. The coffee is delicious and the baked goods are fresh and moist. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone wanting a healthy lunch or a fresh baked pastry. Panera also has some of the best bagels so I usually always get one to take home after having my usual You Pick 2. The food arrives quickly and if anything is made incorrect, they correct it and are very pleasant. read more

My wife and I've been here several times since it's been open. We've never had a bad experience. What Carly wrote her book about I'm not sure other than she went into too much detail. Food has always been on par with other Paneras. They have what I think is a new thing, they give you a buzzer to place on your table and then they will bring your food to you instead of you standing around waiting for it. It's nice, but when they're busy, the servers sometimes have a difficult time finding the table that the food goes to. All in all though I would go back. read more

We ordered two bowls of soup (at $6.89 each!!) and when we got them, the squash soup was filled about halfway which seemed like a skimpy portion for the price but the chicken noodle soup was only filled about a third of the way so I asked the person who served it if she could put a little more in the chicken soup bowl and she said no she couldn't. She said they were only allowed to put in 3 scoops which left me wondering why there was more in one bowl than the other. So I asked to speak to a manager and a young woman came up who was really only a shift supervisor and when I repeated my request as I showed her the soup bowls, she also refused and said there was nothing she could do. What restaurant treats their customers this way? I was only asking for the serving portions to be equal. And if they are only going to fill the bowls with such a small amount, maybe they should use smaller bowls! They keep leaving ingredients out of our orders. Today the Graham rd Stow location they was out of ciabatta egg & bacon sandwiches per the Panera app at 9:55 am. Breakfast is not supposed to end until 10:30am. So we then ordered from the RT 59 location in Stow. App said they had the sandwiches. We ordered. Gave them 20 minutes got to the Rt 59 location. Picked up the sandwiches and they left off the eggs. Even though they checked off the receipt in the bag that the sandwiches had eggs. I showed the manager. She said sorry we are out of eggs. I like their facilities and I like their food but obviously they don't want to sell it to us. We left and went next door to McDonald's. read more
