The wait was over the 45 minutes they quoted us, and the food came out lukewarm/cold when it did. The food was lacking flavor, and both our sandwiches were very dry. We put some of their Dill Dip on both, which did help and that dip is delicious. Overall, we wanted to like Nomz as it is right by the maker space market that was very cool and convenient. Love the concept, but the prices are bit high for what you get. I got the vegan chipotle sandwich. It was good but not very spicy for being a chipotle sandwich. It came on a hamburger bun with lettuce and pickles. The vegan chicken didn't have a chicken flavor. It appeared to be some type of wheat gluten. For $15 sandwich and adding a small bag of chips would have made it more reasonable. When I ordered my sandwich to go they charged me state taxes. Confused by the extra cost I asked the person taking my order about it but she had no clue and told me it was only a dollar. FYI you shouldn't be charged taxes on to go food. No purchase of beer or sodas so no tax. The place is in a smaller market warehouse setting with some other shops. Looks like they may host summer events. read more

One of the best sandwich places in Akron. I remember getting lunch here often when I worked downtown, and having their special Thanksgiving sandwich again after all these years was amazing. They're still up to the hype! Shop around the marketplace after a hearty meal and explore all the vendors inside! Service was lacking -- slow and not very attentive. I ordered a macchiato, which was listed as 12 oz on the menu, but what I got was a huge 16-20 oz cup filled mostly with milk. It completely missed the mark if you're looking for a traditional macchiato. For food, I tried the Citradog chicken sandwich. Loved the idea behind it -- the ingredients sounded great -- but the execution wasn't there. The chicken was dry and not seasoned well at all. This is an honest review. Trying NOMZ for the first time and ordering the Vegan BLT on gluten free bread was a major disappointment and for the price. The bacon was nil, rubbery with one sliver. We ask the preparer if we were ordering a regular BLT how many slices would they have used, the response was 3. Being that it was made of rice paper, it should have been an abundance of vegan bacon. Our chipotle chicken tacos were so dry and bland. There was very little in them. What appeared to be in them was some chicken cheese sprinkle, raw onion, and a dash of cilantro, not even enough to really add any flavor. They were supposed to come with a sauce, but that didn't happen. They were so dry and unenjoyable. We arrived at the facility at 8:40 PM. We had no idea that they close at 9 PM. When we ordered, they asked us would we like it for there or to go? We decided to eat there and have it fresh and warm they indicated that they were closing at nine we would've gotten it to go. The cashier person for the entire facility which I believe is not related to this restaurant. Resturant came over to tell us that they were closing when we were looking around at some of the items for sale. When our food came out, I apologized and said sorry we would've gotten this to go had we realized you were closing at 9 PM. She then said oh would you like me to take it away and put it into go packages, absolutely not. I already paid to sit here and eat it and you've already brought it out. Why would I do that? Came here on a night out with the girlfriend on my vacation to the Cleveland area. I was highly referred to check this place out. My only issue here was that parking was a bit of a hassle, especially since the rest of the strip is busy. We both placed our order and we knew it was going to be a while, so we had a great opportunity to explore the gift store within the place which was freaking outstanding. A great way to kill plenty of time and feel like a tourist in the area. Food was outstanding! Staff was friendly and courteous! Great lunch spot located inside of Northside Market! We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday and although there weren't too many people sitting down, there were guests who came into and out of the market. It was a busy place! I ordered the Turkey Mustrado and an iced Cereal Milk Latte and it was such a wonderful decision! The sandwich was so crunchy and the ingredients paired so well together. The Brie and cranberry were a perfect pair and Hartville potato chips added a nice salty flavor to the main focus. The iced Cereal Milk Latte was what really caught my eye on the menu. The milk is made from soaked Fruit Loops, which I thought was so neat and different. The Fruit Loops flavor is light and subtle, but it was present! Across the street is a parking lot which was packed when we arrived around 5pm, however we managed to snag a spot. The space is like a cafeteria with the bar having separate seating. My boyfriend and I both got the black bean tacos, which he liked and I didn't. I'm not a fan of flour tortillas for tacos, there wasn't a lot of flavor, and they were cold. And surrounding the dining area are a couple different shops and spots to eat and drink. I really love the variety that Nomz offers. Great options for vegans and vegetarians as well. I haven't absolutely loved everything I've gotten here but I appreciate the uniqueness of each dish and the quality of their ingredients. First time dining here. Ordered a gluten free sandwich, and my partner ordered two tacos. Twenty minutes after ordering, a cook came out to let us know that he could not find the correct protein for the tacos. They offered to make a different one, and we agreed, we're flexible. Food comes out, it's delicious. Cocktails are excellent. I'm taking the last bite of my sandwich when the cashier comes up to me frantically and lets me know that there are new cooks in the kitchen and they missed the gluten free modifier on the ticket. She was very apologetic, gave us a refund, and asked if I needed medical attention. I promptly sped off to the bathroom to attempt to exorcize the allergens from my system. The tortilla chips were average, the salsa was pretty good (wish it was a little spicier), and the queso was below average. It was cold with no taste. An interesting development complex with a wide array of food and shop options. It's a smaller, communal food hall primarily catered towards University of Akron students (Go Zips!) who reside above. That features a smoothie bar, an alchoholic bar, a creamery/churro stand, then some jewelry kind of place. It is a really unique place to visit for an overnight trip. Due to Luigi's, which I hear constantly about and their "cheese salad," only accepting cash decided to go here since it's next door. I got the Ckikka chicken sandwich( a small breast fillet on a brioche bun toasted) which was kinda dry. The bun tasted exquisite. The lettuce was very crunchy. Sliced tomatoes were perfect, too. We had theater tickets at 1:30 and thought that 11:30 would be plenty of time to allow for lunch for a party of 5. Not so much. The restaurant was only half full, but a large table of about 12 or so people ordered just ahead of us. Apparently, they can only cook one meal at a time. We saw that earlier table get served one meal at a time every 5 to 10 minutes. We ordered at 11:40, and then at 1:00, we had to give up and leave without our food. They were still bringing meals out to the first table while the first served had long since finished their meal. At least they refunded what we paid without any arguments, but I had the impression the staff was used to customers walking out. This is not the fault of the very few people on staff but the management and organization of the restaurant. If you can only cook one meal in 5 to 10 minutes, I don't know how you can handle any lunch rush. The menu looked great, and the vegetarians in our party had been looking forward to all the choices. Wow! What a gem. Great service and atmosphere, not to mention amazing food. You order at the counter and they deliver it to your table. The menu is bigger than I expected. They have breakfast and a nice selection of vegan dishes. My daughter and I got the first two chicken sandwiches on the menu and split them. The first one had Muenster cheese and was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The other one had balsamic on it and it was also amazing.
