I have never been here before and I've known about this place for years so I decided enough is enough and I decided to give this place a try. I looked up there menu before going there so I could decide what I wanted to get and i decided to order the Torikatsu Ramen which is 鸡排拉面 Fried chicken served w.chicken broth ramen noodle, topped w.scallions, corn, cilantro, broccoli, kikurage mushroom onion and boy can I say it was really delicious and I had a can of diet Pepsi with it. The customer service was amazing as well and they were very helpful and they were extremely quick I ate there and I think I waited maybe 5 minutes for my Ramen. The price of the food is also amazing for my Ramen and diet pepsi it came out to under 15.00. And you get alot of food. The ambiance of the store was decent I think they took over where Jimmy johns used to be at because they are located in between play it again sports and Panera Bread. I did enjoy all of the decor though. Overall this place is amazing and I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be back. read more

Mediocre food, great affordable prices for Cuyhoga Falls. No frills restaurant experience. Basic seating inside and bathroom is clean. Ramen is very average and same with fried chicken. Broth was not rich in flavor unlike other ramen places. Char siu too fatty for me. Fried chicken was also very greasy unlike tonkotsu should be. I came to Umami Noodle around 12:00 on a Saturday. It was pleasantly busy. The interior has around 6 tables and two bar stool areas. All tables were taken so we used one of the bar stool areas. The menu has great variety of ramen, stir fry, apps, etc. They also offer a variety of drinks. The pricing is absolutely fair with how much food you get. It seems each individual meal could be two servings. I got the shrimp tempura ramen and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon was straight cream cheese. Really overpowering. Wouldn't get it again unfortunately. The shrimp tempura ramen was good. I wish the broth was seasoned a bit more. The shrimp tempura sits in the broth so as you eat they get very soggy. This is just a little fast service ramen place with a few tables, but the food is outstanding. I've not had better in NE Ohio, and it holds up well against the best I've had elsewhere around the country. The broth is full of flavor, the noodles have a good texture and consistency and there is no skimping on the ingredients for whichever item you choose. And the spicy ramen? If you ask for very spicy, it will be very spicy, and not just a little warmer than the regular ramen. If I'm having ramen, this is where I'm going to get it. read more

I loved the different textures and the weight of the broth. I also tried the shrimp tempura ramen it was interesting because both our bowls had the same based broth but tasted completely different! Thought this was a great new addition to Howe Road! Nestled in a plaza between Panera and Staples, there are a ton of places to park in the plaza with a big parking lot. Had no issues finding a spot on a Sunday evening. Ended up getting grilled chicken ramen with scallions, corn, mushrooms, an egg, and a little seaweed and my friend got tonkatsu ramen which had grilled pork on it. We also got a green tea jasmine honey drink which was very delicious. For two people to eat, it was only around $30! The food came out honestly pretty fast after we ordered, about 10-15 minutes. We ate in the restaurant, there are a decent amount of tables in the front, like 4-5 and tables lining the hallway into the back. It would be pretty easy to accommodate groups of 2-5 but more difficult to accommodate a larger group. It was clean inside, decent sized. They also have water for free! I didn't try any of the bubble tea but it looked absolutely delicious - I plan on coming back and adding this cute little place to my rotation of takeout for dinner! We ordered the pork char siu ramen, stir fried chicken udon, chicken yakitori and 2 drinks. Price was reasonable, and it's self service so that cuts down on wait time and cost. Speed of getting our order was so quick! I was really impressed by that because the place was full. It was kind of cramped inside but due to the speed at which food was coming out, there was only a couple minute wait time for a table. Everything was pretty tasty! Ramen-wise, this was not very authentic, starting with the wrong type of noodle being used and not a creamy or savory enough broth but it wasn't the worst by a long shot. I was looking for marinated bamboo shoots or some type of mushroom or a slice of fish cake but nope, they include white onions...not a good ramen ingredient. The stir fried udon exceeded my expectations! The presentation was so good and they included perfectly cooked chicken with sliced shitake mushrooms! The yakitori appetizer was hands down the best chicken on a stick I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, cooked and presented. Well done. Atmosphere: Very small place and to be honest, I don't think the space is used well as it could just be used more efficiently. The young man at the register who rang us out and took our order was just absolutely miserable. You could just tell by his blank stare when no one was at the counter that he would rather be doing anything else. Hospitality from the older man in the kitchen (may be an owner it seemed like) was extremely lacking. My fiancé and I have been waiting for this place to open so she could finally have the authentic ramen she's been craving. Wrong. Food: Everything was horrible. The only thing that was good was the chicken on a stick appetizer. Which just tasted like bourbon chicken on a stick. That was delicious. Everything else was horrible. The clear soup, the mushrooms were pretty much just cut in half that's how thick they were. The ramen? Disgusting. Not only that but every single piece of beef was just a hunk of fat. The Chinese couple are a bit aggressive and spoke to me as if they were doing me a favor by taking my money. Umami Noodle is the absolute most tasty, most amazing food we've had in the area. In the last few months my wife's health has deteriorated but still enjoys a sip of spicy food once in a while, they have accommodated her inability to eat solid foods. So I was really craving chicken katzu curry today so we decided to give Unami another chance and I'm glad we did!!! It was literally delicious. My fiancé got the pork katzu and also loved it! Our only complaint is there's not enough curry sauce/too much rice for the container, but that's next time we will just ask for extra sauce.
