It's a typical Panera. Food is as you would expect. Only issue is that the dishes and flatware are not always clean.

I love Panera. This location is fast, friendly and efficient with my busy life. I enjoy their chicken ceased salad of course with a baguette. On the downside last time the green tea didn't taste as fresh. read more

Slowest service I have ever seen from a Panera Bread. It was not just a one time deal where this has occurred. Whenever ordering ahead on their app, they take over a half an hour to make the order. I'm not from here but I've soon realized that there isn't much to choose from to eat if you're in Watertown. I've dined at Panera Bread in the many states I've lived in before and it hasn't disappointed me yet but this one for some reason let me down so bad I don't even think I'll eat there again before I leave. Upon entering the restaurant, our party immediately walked to the kiosk and began to order. There were four of us and almost everything we wanted was "unavailable". We couldn't order bread bowls because it was unavailable but when we asked about it the manager said he'll take care of it. We wanted a certain baked good but it was also unavailable yet we could see plenty near the cashier. My daughter also ordered from the bakery but after we all ate we realized they never gave it to her. So we asked as we were getting ready to leave and they were also out so she had to choose from other baked goods that she didn't want. Remember, they had a lot on the menu that were unavailable. The wait was unbearable too and our plates came out individually. I never thought it would happen but it was a hit or miss today and unfortunately it was a huge miss for me. read more

I love this company. It has free wifi Comfy seat and tables. The bread and bagels are absolutely FANTASTIC. The pastries are great. Their soup/salad/sandwhiches are phenomanal. I love to get their cup of coffee and just keep refilling it! Decent prices for the quality of the food. So inviting to just sit and actually spend time with someone. read more

The staff here is generally great, but everytime I order s grilled sandwich it's overcooked. I should note that I have gone to several Panera Bread locations and this is the only one I've had a problem with the food. I will stick to non-grilled sandwichs here. read more

I've never been disappointed at any Panera Bread I have went into and this is no exception. It's usually busy and I don't complain about that, even if I have to wait in line for a bit but they are quick and efficient so it's never very long. The food is always excellent, the people are nice and always seem to do their best to make sure you get want you want, even if it's a menu modification. I like sticking to chain restaurants for consistency but Panera Bread goes out of it's way to be above and beyond being just consistent in it's menu and cleanliness. We also enjoy the outdoor dining when the weather's nice. read more

Well, coming here from Fort Drum when you don't have a car is a bit of a trick. Still, I came here a few times while I was with 10th Mountain. I do recall having to wait for a bit for my food, but when I got it, it was exactly what I've come to expect from Panera Bread, and having been stationed in Germany for 2 years, I hadn't been to a Panera in that long, so it was definitely nice to be back to a familiar atmosphere. I had their Cuban Chicken Sandwich the first time I went, and it was phenomenal. Still not sure what's "Cuban" about it, but hey, I knows a good sandwich when I bites into one. read more

Never disappointed, I order from here for breakfast lunch and dinner all the time! If I ever need a bulk order of bagels or pastries I go here and am never disappointed. The manager John is so friendly and always says high, and I see him helping his staff all the time. read more

I really do enjoy this place, it's a healthier option with the casual dining experience. I love that you can choose different sides and their paninis are amazing. However today on a lunch date there with my husband I found a hair in my sandwich. The employee offered to make me another one but at that point I had lost my appetite. He tried to explain that sometimes the way the grill heats the cheese can cause it to look like small hairs, but either way I wasn't taking the risk. I asked for my money back which he gave me a full refund and apologized. However when I returned to my seat at the booth, I noticed there were hairs, crumbs and dirt in the corner of the booth between where the back rest and the seat meet. I'm not sure if that had been collected that day, but it was an awful lot. Honestly it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week or more. Don't get me wrong I love this place, the staff is always friendly, courteous and quick, but today's visit really makes me think twice about going back there. If I do return, I'll be sure to triple check my food and keep an eye out for dirt in the booths. read more

I am a very big fan of panera so this issue is with the staff I encountered at the panera in Watertown, NY. I placed a phone order at 3:25PM, with a pick up time at 3:45PM. I paid the cashier at 3:37PM when I was told it would be "10 minutes" for my order to be ready. I waited until about 4:00PM, as 15-20 people walked by me with their orders placed and received. I asked to speak with Brian the manager and explained that I have been waiting 15 minutes over my scheduled pick up time for food that literally takes 5 minutes to prepare. He stated "because it's a phone order we don't get to it right away" even when the customer is waiting at the store during and after the scheduled pick up time. Brian reimbursed a very small portion of my order, although I felt his excuse was subpar. Meanwhile, an older blonde woman who was also a manager (name unknown) quickly came up to say rudely in front of me "her order is only 5 minutes late," which is was obviously incorrect. Finally at 4:06 I had my food in hand, which ended up being rushed in the last 5 minutes. Moral of the story- never order online or via phone because you will be waiting longer than you would if you just walked in. I didn't realize making 2 sandwiches took 40 minutes, but I guess it must depend on the competency of the staff you are asking to complete such a task. read more

Always a stop for breakfast or lunch when we're in Watertown or passing through. For a chain it's very reliable with good service and good food. read more

I hadn't been to this Panera location in many months. I recall that while it used to be crazy-busy, the service was fast and the food was very good. On this visit, I was surprised to see that it wasn't busy at all, even though it was lunch hour and the weather was fair. I thought we just got lucky. However, the wait for our food (party of two) was extraordinarily long... and this was just for soup, a salad an a cold sandwich! It's not like they didn't have enough staff; it looked almost more crowded behind the counter than in the dining area! My friend ordered some kind of soup that had chicken, quinoa, green beans and okra. She said that the green beans "could have been cooked more" and the okra wasn't cut up well enough to be enjoyed in bite-sized morsels. She pretty much fished out the chicken and left a majority of the rest. I ordered a "Pick Two" combo of a small Caesar salad and a half Mediterranean veggie sandwich. The salad was decent, nothing spectacular. I ate about 2/3 of it. I've had the veggie sandwich before, and it seemed not as good as in the past. I can't quite pinpoint the difference. The tomato basil bread was a bit too chewy, and the whole thing just seemed to lack any real tastiness Hopefully, I just caught them on an "off" day and this restaurant isn't actually in a decline. read more

My party of about 30 had placed a large order to go. This order was missing 7 smoothies. The bacon egg cheese breakfast sandwiches did not have egg. Bacon cheese and bread sandwiches are obscene and outlandish. This was by far the worst panera experience I have ever had. Great sandwiches especially if your tired of the average run of the mill delis or subshops. They also bake artisan breads and have excellent coffee. Nice bistro like atmosphere and free wifi, probably the hippest place in watertown. Slightly pricey but definately worth it read more

I ordered the autumn squash soup and turkey cranberry flatbread for lunch on 13 October. The sandwich looked nothing like the commercial. There was hardly any cranberry or spread. I took the sandwich to the counter and spoke to a manager. He took my plate saying he would get another sandwich for me. The second sandwich was exactly the same. He didn't even check. A male customer behind me had the same issue with his order. The soup, sandwich and ice tea cost just over $11.oo. I expect a better quality meal for that price. It seemed like they were too busy to pay attention to detail, even after I brought a concern to management's attention. read more
