Currently 22 weeks pregnant and crave ice cream often and went twice while visiting. The first time I got the salty peanut butter cup, which was good! But the second time, I got the brown butter cookie swirl, and oh my goodness! It was incredible. Both times, the staff were friendly and helped me out. We stopped in for a treat before closing. Staff was wonderful. I tried a seasonal flavor, wild honey and lavender. Delicious. Cute place.

We stopped in and ordered their "ice cream flight" for $12 which allows you to order 4 flavors (see photo I uploaded). There were only two of this but this would've been great for a group of 2-3 as well. We loved trying multiple flavors and sharing. We tried Just plain chocolate, chocolate chip cookie, Buttermilk Huckleberry and Peppermint Fudge. They were all delicious!! Peppermind Fudge tasted like a fun twist on mint chocolate chip. I should also say that the guy behind the counter was super friendly and awesome! I wish I would've gotten his name, he made our visit even better. Thanks! read more

This is a pretty popular stop here. They have a variety of flavors and some interesting ones. They also do split scoops. The staff are friendly. We got the popular huckleberry ice cream and the orange dark chocolate bitters. The huckleberry, I found was on the sweeter side and less of berry. The ice cream was good, but the service was awful. After ordering 3 kids's cones, I was charged for 3 small cones. When I pointed out the error, the clerk said "Yes, that was our mistake", but continued to charge me for the larger cones. I presented a token for a free Kid's Cone and was told I would have to use that next time when I order a Kid's Cone. I again said that I did order Kid's Cones and again was told "Yes, that was our mistake". The token was given back to me to use "next time". I have never encountered a business making a mistake and expecting the customer to pay for it. We are local, but there may not be a next time. read more

Service was horrible. That was the most rude experience I've ever had in a food service setting. We got our ice cream and sat down and as soon as we did that the man behind the counter literally told us you need to get your ice cream and I'm going to have to kick you out because it's closing time and I have to count money. He wasn't even remotely nice about it. So much so that we thought he was joking. Then a few minutes later, he came back to the counter and said I'm serious get out right now. It was 30° outside and my kids still had ice cream in their bowls. I asked him why he served us in the first place if he was just going to turn around and kick us out and he said "whatever". I then said we'll never come back again and he said " I don't care". I have never seen someone that needed to lose their job more. On top of that the ice cream was freezer burned and didn't have much taste so it is absolutely no loss that I will never step foot in that place again. read more

This was a very nice ice cream shop, I loved the decorations, all the ice cream flavors were on clip boards on the wall. Also it gave a very homemade feel to it. I got the honey comb and bourbon ice cream, it didn't have a strong bourbon flavor but it was there and not a lot of honeycomb in it either. I also had their coffee ice cream which was very nice. My sister got the CB and J( cookie butter and jam) which was alright but couldn't tasted the cookie butter and it was mostly a lot of raspberry jam. The service was okay we stood and waited for about 5 minutes( the ice cream shop was empty) but the employee there was nice. read more

This locally owned ice cream shop is AMAZING! There's not a lot of local ice cream shops these days unless you're a corporate business like 31 Flavors or Dairy Queen. What makes Panhandle Cone & Coffee so unique is they make their own small batch ice cream. You read that right. THEY MAKE HOMEMADE ICE CREAM!! Who does that anymore? It tastes so creamy and is a hard ice cream but on the softer side. The waffle cones are homemade as well but they are a little thin and crumbly but it supports the scoops! This place is so, so good! As everyone said, it's very clean and the ice cream is delicious!! Everything is homemade and the flavors are pretty sophisticated. I had a blood orange and dark chocolate split scoop with huckleberry and buttermilk. The blood orange and dark chocolate was gourmet quality! It was so subtle but just delicious! The huckleberry was creamy and sweet, but not too sweet. Normally, when I eat ice cream, I have to chug water because there's too much sugar. I didn't have to this time, which made it a pleasure to eat my entire cone, which I normally can't do. Also, make sure you get a waffle cone! They come out warm and melt the ice cream just a tiny bit-- it's so good! If I ever come back to Sandpoint, I'm definitely coming here again!! read more

The owners here are so nice and they hire some of the nicest people to work here. All the ice cream is home made and they change up their flavors often.
