This is a vibrant and unique place for good food and beer. It was bust on a Sunday evening (during Festival at Sandpoint) but we got seated immediately. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive after we ordered, which was excessive, but the meals were hot and tasty. Fish Filets and Philly Cheese Steak. We were passing through Sandpoint and stopped at MickDuffs for dinner. We are so glad we did! We ordered the Thai Chicken wrap with a side of Mexican corn and the blackened chicken Caesar salad. It was all delicious! My husband loved the Dellrium Haze and I had the Huckleberry Italian soda. Again, both were great. We sat at the bar and received great service (thank you Kayla). We were pleasantly surprised how good the food is here and the friendly low-key vibe. Several unexpected items on the menu for an Irish Pub and so glad we took the risk because everything was delicious. Pale ale was very tasty and the kiddo got a huckleberry Italian soda that was quickly sucked down. I'll be daydreaming about the Nashville hot chicken sandwich for awhile- it was perfectly spicy with a hint of sweet honey and the pickle brought it together on a light, soft bun. We were greeted and treated very warmly by the kind employee who was working the bar, waiting tables, cleaning, prepping drinks and bringing food in and out, she was working HARD! but so kind, still had time to chit chat a little. Food was good, the burrito was my favorite. Breakfast burritos always need a sweet element like a grape jelly or something similar. This needs that. Shoutout to MickDuff's for accommodating our big family of 20+ people during a weekday lunch! The tables were arranged for all of us to be able to sit together. Our servers were attentive, respectful, and were quick to serve us our fresh food despite the big table. We enjoyed the Brewers burger and got the speciality Gorgonzola garlic fries which were actually insane! Probably won't go back here. The front desk staff is just not friendly, and they are the first impression of the restaurant. When we got seated, the gal just dropped the menus on the table and walked back to her desk. No friendly anything- didn't tell us who our server was, nothing. Not a word. Didn't like that at all. We didn't have to wait long for our all business (read: not friendly) server. I understand that the server is busy and we didn't expect a lengthy chit chat, but he was just not friendly at all to the point it made us uncomfortable. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We got the cheese sticks and riblets apps and they were both good--especially the riblets, albeit pretty spendy riblets. The homemade fries are good for the first 1 minute, then they are hard and cold. Fish was greasy, burger was dry. The tri tip dip was good, but dry and could really benefit from some grilled onion or garlic mayo, or both. All in all, 2 apps, 4 entrees and water was $120. If the staff were more friendly we would probably go back and try other items, but this was our second time there and the same disappointing service. We sat at the bar so we didn't have to wait for a table. it took a few minutes until we were acknowledged, but it was busy. Ugh, I really wanted to like this place. The historical building had me hooked, especially the walk-in vault from a previous life in the ladies room that is now a changing station with chair for private nursing, great idea. We shared a sample flight and even though I'm not a huge beer drinker, I thought all were great. What I couldn't get around was the service. Our waitress was distracted and not listening, she disappeared after dropping drinks and before we could order food, taking a break I assume. I recently applied and interviewed with this company, and unfortunately my experience reflected very poor communication and professionalism. After submitting my application and résumé in person, I was told I'd receive a call back -- which never happened. I tried reaching out multiple times via email and phone (called 6 times across 3 days never picked up, and email listed in vm gets returned to sender) with no response, and when I followed up in person, I was told to return for an interview on a scheduled day and time. When I arrived for the interview, the staff seemed unaware of any interview appointment. After waiting for about 10 minutes while they went to the back, I was then informed the position had "just been filled." There was no prior notice, phone call, or update. I understand hiring processes can be busy, but simple communication and follow-through go a long way toward showing respect for applicants' time and effort. Hopefully, management will address this issue moving forward to prevent similar lapses in communication and professionalism from affecting future applicants... Mickey M: Sorry but you are mistaken. Female worker that I dropped my papers off with, said someone would reach back out with a phone call, and after 3 days of no call I followed up in person. The interaction went as follows: I let the lady at the front desk (I think hiring manager with facial piercings for reference) know that I dropped off an application and resume and was told I would hear back but never did. I asked her if they decided to move on or if she hadn't had the chance to look at my stuff yet. She said she hadn't, and said and I quote, " why don't you come in for an interview..Tuesday at 11:30." I love their new location, I hadn't been in years and it was a nice surprise. The woman's bathroom is so nice and clean. Our waitress was super quick and helpful to all of our questions. The curry I had was INCREDIBLE! I am a curry snob and I loved how flavorful it was. It was also a huge portion so I had it for leftovers the next day and it tasted even better. Beautiful restaurant brewery with lots of history as Standpoint's original Federal Building. The interior is stunning and it's lovely how they maintained the buildings integrity. The staff were working very hard during our visit and let us know they were at half staff. We did have to wait for quite sometime to be sat and order. The food was alright, nothing really stood out, but the beer is where it's at, love the Lupalicious. Lots of big groups and party's were at this location so if you just want the beer highly recommended visiting the beer hall just a few blocks away and bring your own food (which is what we did). read more

The vibes were honestly great--super chill atmosphere, good energy, and it definitely seems like a fun spot to hang out with friends. That said, the food was pretty mid. Nothing terrible, just not super memorable either. It felt like the kind of place that's really more about the drinks than the dining, which makes sense since it is a brewery. If you're going for a beer and good conversation, it's a win. If you're going for a full-on food experience, maybe don't expect too much. At first we walked to their brewery tasting room & found it to be closed, but quickly realized they had two locations & we were at the wrong one. So after a brisk walk, we found the right one. A very nice place! We were told it used to be the post office & could see how that could be. The Mrs & I shared the fish & chips which were very good & we really loved the dill sauce. Always a great place to go with the kids, mine being 2, 4, and 7. The building is pretty neat, and they have some arcade games in the corner. The wait staff is joyful and welcoming with experience about the menu, very happy to help with any questions. I have been here quite a few times and can say that everything, especially the Irish Chips, is so good! Such a cool old building. This building caught my eye and I didn't even know it was a brewery. I was able to get a seat at the bar immediately. I enjoyed the Huckleberry blonde ale and it was nice they had drinks for non-beer drinkers I had the bahn mi bowl and it was sooo salty. It was hard to eat. I really wanted to like it because I have been craving any Asian food for days. They should lay off the salt if they're going to use soy sauce. You don't need to use salt with soy sauce. Mick Duff's was packed and the smell of the food was great so when we went for dinner we were excited for an awesome experience. The space itself is really interesting and there was a lot to take in. While I wouldn't say the experience was "bad," I think every member of my party was disappointed with the quality of the food. The kiddos in my party had chicken tenders and fries and ate almost nothing because the tenders were very chewy/rubbery and the fries were really greasy. The spicy chicken sandwich I ordered tasted good but I only ate about a quarter of it because it was greasy (maybe our orders sat in the fryer too long). My husband's beer was very flat. All in all, we wouldn't go back because there are a ton of other great eateries in Sandpoint but it's a really neat building and space to check out. read more

My wife and I were in Couer D'Alene to visit my sister and brother-in-law and they had to work on a Friday, so they recommended we go up north to Sandpoint. So glad we did. We did the 5 mile up and back on the main lake and I was so ready for a great lunch and a couple of IPAs. They delivered. The sandwich was perfect and the salad was like a dinner salad size.
