Based on past reviews decided to pay Panini Panini a visit. I'm not sure I was "crying" with joy (as one review mentioned) however the food was fresh and tasty. My wife and I both got the French onion soup. It was hot and cheesy but unremarkable. I got the Salmon, Lettuce and Tomato (SLT). It was delicious. My wife got the bacon quiche that was hot and flavorful. The crust, cheese and egg were perfect! The young person behind the counter was friendly and attentive. The physical location was "old" but clean. The shop resembled something one might find in a small, old European town. Overall a good experience. read more

Food is excellent, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients and everything is made to order. It did take a bit for our food to come out, despite the business being pretty slow. Service was friendly, and the space itself has a cozy coffee house vibe. It's tucked into a shopping center and can be a little tough to find, but they do have their own parking lot on the side of the building. All in all a pretty good experience...that said, the prices were very expensive for what we got - two breakfast sandwiches and two iced coffees ran us just about $50. read more

Delicious! Delicious! I ordered the tuna salad panini and it was huge! And hugely delicious. It also came with a tasty green salad (no iceberg here!) and a couple slices of fresh cantaloupe. I could only eat half the sandwich but I can attest that the other half was nearly as delicious for lunch the next day. I had also ordered a slice of the lemon tart, which the wrapped and pro-actively kept refrigerated for me. I sat on their outdoor patio, which was really nice, despite the day's heat, with flowers, greens, a Buddha and Ganesh statues. What a divine little spot in Michigan City. Waze took us through some questionable neighborhood roads and we started to question if we were going the right way, but sure enough we found Panini Panini. It's a gem hidden in the community. I got the gluten free turkey club. It was delicious. The gluten free bread tasted like the real stuff - impeccable! Love their garlic sauce on the sandwich. Husband got a Ham and Swiss but subbed for cheddar. He also loved his sandwich. He said the crunchy bread was great. We both got Great Lakes kettle chips and Jones soda as well! I loved their homemade grape vinegarette! It paired perfectly with the side salad that as fresh shaved parm, tomato, and cucumber, and red onions. I could have had that as my whole meal. All together I think the meal was around $40 with the brownie. We loved it and the quality was definitely there. Would love to go back if we're ever in the area. Delicious food, made to order food including soup, sandwiches, and salads. Beautiful presentation, and wonderful staff. They offer gluten and dairy free accommodations to their meals very well, including bringing out the ingredient list for true allergen concerns. What makes this review even stronger, is that due to being a busy parent, I forgot my work computer that I was quickly answering a few messages on call when I was distracted leaving. We were on a road trip going through multiple states and I called after closing hours later. They picked right up and Casey arranged for us to pick up the computer (in the evening on a day it's closed!) on our way home. I am forever grateful for the staff of Panini Panini to make a an already stressful situation so easily resolved. read more

They throw in this salad which has fresh and buttery lettuce . Good stuff! I also recommend: The Pot Roast sandwich with carmelized onions . Yessir! The Grilled Cheese is also good. Get the multiple cheese option. You will Thank Me! Once again, I have to have onions in my sandwich. When I get the Grilled Cheese, I also have a get the Tomato Bisque . Folks, you will sell your Momma to The Huns for this soup! Try me and see! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. She was very accomodating and described all the different soups, salads , and san dwiches to us. The prices were reasonable. I got the combo: 1/2 sandwich, cup of soup, tossed salad with homemade raspberry vinegrette dressing 2 pcs of crusty french bread and 2 thin slices of cantaloupe. The soup was steak and potato with a lot of meat and my 1/2 sandwich was the reuben. It was all delicious. And all of that for $10!! As we were leaving she gave us each 2 homemade macaroons to go.
