First and foremost, they were all very polite when taking our order. We ended up getting 2 cups of lemonade, and three of the sashimi. Ok, this was amazing! We hit Paniolo today after talking about it for months, but only thinking about it when it was already closed. First, the staff were incredibly friendly, explaining the menu when we had questions. They have a standard menu, but depending on the day of the week they have other options. The place was cozy... in a good way. Honestly, the staff make you feel so at home, everyone seemed genuinely happy. The food was fantastic! We started with a stuffed Malasada... yummy. My wife got a Thai bowl which was nicely sized... she had to take about 1/3 of it home. I had the Loco Moco Burrito which had rice, macaroni salad, beef, and egg. When I saw egg, I expected scrambled, but to my pleasurable surprise it was like sunny side up or over easy which I think made it so much more tasty! The Moco dipping sauce added tremendous flavor as did the pepper water they bring to the table. if you're looking at it from the street, you might have trouble finding it. You go in the door just left of Inge's (if your facing it on central), stroll down the hallway and it's about the third door on the left. It was large enough to satisfy two of us. The macaroni salad was good but needed a little salt to punch up the flavor. I've seen this place the handful of times going into 600 Central Ave building downtown. I'd heard it was a great bakery, had no clue they were going to have such AMAZZZZZZING food as well. I got a combination plate with chicken, pork, rice and macaroni salad and I cannot say enough how good it was! The service was really good too, the guy was really nice and confident in the yummy food. He was right, I will be going back again for coffee and one of those Ginger and Pear Turnovers ;) My only negative would be the location, a place like this needs a front door right out to the street, not tucked away in a building. read more

When I go to lunch during work, I'm not expecting anything this glorious in Great Falls! Every bite was glorious and well balanced with flavor, I was in sheer fucking awe that this was here! The owner came to our table as we were wrapping up, told us the fish he would be bringing in next week, and you damn right I'll be coming back! At some point I do intend to try the regular menu items, which look amazing as well, but if they are going to bring in fresh fish weekly I'll do my best to be here twice a month minimum! Went there the first time a couple weeks ago. The food was over the top delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful in describing what food was on the menu that day. I enjoyed it so much I went back for a new menu item just two days later! The second meal was equally yummy. My only recommendation would be for the restaurant to work harder on advertising.
