I also felt that medications were prescribed without clear explanation of their purpose or possible side effects which left me needing to look up information on my own. My lab results indicated that I am pre diabetic not diabetic however I felt there was repeated discussion of insulin as a treatment option even after I expressed that I did not believe this applied to my condition and without clear explanation of the reasoning behind it. I did not feel fully included in the decision making process regarding my care. Additionally the office environment itself made me uncomfortable as the space felt enclosed with limited ventilation and restricted exits which contributed to my overall sense of unease during the visits. Overall I left both appointments feeling uncomfortable confused and not confident in the communication level or care provided and I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending this provider

However if you have any kind of question you might as well forget about getting any help. The practitioner will not receive any messages via email or thru customer service no fault of theirs. they simply don't get any communication from customer service platform. You must book an appointment and pay fee for literally anything you need including a refill, insurance authorization or an error with bloodwork they wrote orders for. This is definitely a management/corporate issue that needs addressed.

He explained everything to us. He would come in and out of the room to make sure she was OK and to give us updates. He answered all our questions and put her at ease. He educated us about xrays, the flu, what to expect next, the amount of Tylenol and ibrofuren to take once home. He even took the time to make sure my daughter had a note for work. Thanks to Jason we had a wonderful experience. This is the only place we will go when ER services are needed.

I didn't mind that even though it meant there was never a check out procedure of any kind so I sometimes have to remind her to print out referrals we discussed before I leave. But I could look past all that if she wasn't kind of abrasive and rude. We are all human beings deserving of some compassion and respect. I really don't know if she actually checks my chart before my appointments. She has come in before and starts by asking me what medical screenings I'm due for and makes me list off the medications she needs to refill. I have been on the same medications for the entire time I've been seeing her, and they are all refilled at the same time. It is usually the reason for the appointment in the first place. She has my medical chart and records from the other providers I have seen. I don't know why it seems like she doesn't review the information before my appointments but I wish she would try at least. I've never had a doctor ask me to list off the screenings I'm due for. Who knows that off the top of their head. How often to get a mammogram, colonoscopy, etc.... Isn't that something doctors decide depending on the patients unique medical history? Idk. I changed providers recently and it was really such a blessing. The best part is I was told by the Dr. That he called in the order for 6, but Costco never got it, and Costco even called them and were told.."only 3 inhalers per the Dr." So what gives? I'm now without for entire weekend and have just spent $50.00 for a primatine inhaler which insurance doesn't cover, doesn't work as well as prescribed inhaler. I had the worst experience with the front desk customer service at this office; they are very…read moreunprofessional. I requested a copy of my lab orders, which I had completed that morning. The front desk staff asked me for the reason for my request, and when I told her it was to provide to my primary doctor, she inquired about the name of the clinic or doctor. This felt like a HIPAA violation--asking me personal questions that were not relevant to her, especially since others could overhear the conversation. I was clear about what I needed. They asked me to provide a urine sample, and when I opened the box to place my sample inside, I saw five other urine samples. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever encountered. Additionally, the waiting rooms were dirty. There were two people ahead of me for their appointments, and one woman was mistakenly checked out even though she hadn't been seen. I was late to my second appointment by just one minute past the grace period. The receptionist suggested I reschedule and come back a whole month later, which was the next available appointment. I explained that I couldn't wait that long, and I was told she would call me back if an opening became available. An hour passed, and I hadn't received a call, so I checked with the second receptionist. She informed me that there was an opening in 30 minutes, so I took it. Ultimately, I spent two hours in the office overall. This was only my second visit to this office, and it's my first pregnancy. The only positive aspect of my experience was the sweet lady who performed my first ultrasound during my initial visit. Dr. Suarez was also very nice and welcoming during my second visit. Because I am a frequent user of the practice's patient portal, I do not mind the $50 administrative fee because I feel it is necessary to balance out the extra work that they have because of the patient portal. For patients with EDS, this office is a godsend as so few doctors acknowledge the disorder, more or much less treat the disorder. I appreciate the added bonus of having in-house counseling and the in-house lab. Every time I go in, I am greeted warmly and well taken care by the administrative staff and medical professionals.

I have gotten a woman who has answered in Spanish and when I ask who I am speaking to after specifically asking for an employee they will disconnect OR tell me call back and still disconnect the call. So now I am waiting for a telemed that has been scheduled for tomorrow! Dr. Lopez you need to do something about this practice. If you truly care about your patients you would take triage calls and not require EVERY patient be scheduled. That is absurd and not patient care especially when it is a general question and nothing more! But You find any reason to bill even false billing when no one was even seen but you still submit to insurance for payment! Beware people!
