Katie did a newborn shoot for my 2 week old Theo. It was such a great experience! We drove from OC and arrived at the studio which she warned had a small parking lot. She asked that I send her a text upon arrival so she could help guide me regarding parking. She came out right away, let me know where to park and lead us back to the studio. Once in the studio there was a comfy couch and I was able to easily prepare a bottle for the baby. She gave us space as I fed him, then I used her provided changing table to get him in a fresh diaper. I handed him off to Katie, who was wearing an N95 mask, and the magic began! She clearly had put a lot of time and effort into preparing for the shoot and had several setups stages so we could move quickly through setups and get the most of our time. She was very gentle and caring with the baby and I felt completely comfortable with her handling him. One thing I loved is that one of her cameras was hooked up to a computer monitor so that I could see the photos as we were taken. After the very first one popped up I knew this would be worth the drive because it was so beautiful! She took so much time to slowly calm and position the baby to make sure to get great shoots. If I had been taking the pictures I would have said "ok good enough" about 20 minutes before Katie time, which is why my photos are the type only a mom thinks are cute and Katie's are actual works of art. When it came time for the more difficult poses she made sure the baby was well fed and sleepy. When doing a diaperless pose she warned me he might have an accident during the photos but that was ok and not to worry about it, which I appreciated because sure enough he did and instead of worrying he ruined her props I was able to just sit back and enjoy the photos knowing she was prepared. I was very comfortable and able to pump using my wireless pump 2x during the session. Turn around was quicker than expected and the photos are AMAZING. I'm so grateful Katie was able to capture my son's precious and fleeting newborn moments. 10/10 recommend. read more

We came across Panos through a Groupon and thought we'd give it a try as newborns are only new for so long. I was a little hesitant as I wasn't completely convinced that the photos would be worth the money. I was definitely wrong on that front. Katie was incredibly professional as our daughter was super fussy on the first day. We were there for about 4 hours with a baby that refused to cooperate and Katie was nothing but calm and collected. She was only able to take a couple of photos because the baby refused to cooperate but Katie pulled out a bunch of tricks that she knew to try to calm her down. She worked pretty tirelessly to get the photos that day. Even so, the kid only allowed us to take about two or three poses. Katie worked with us to find another day that we could come back and finish the shoot. She definitely didn't have to accommodate us as she had taken enough pictures for the groupon. The second shoot went much better and she was able to take wonderful photos of our baby. She worked though a massive blowout and was incredibly professional throughout the entire shoot. Our photos look amazing and we ended up getting a lot more than we anticipated because they all look so good! If you're looking for newborn photos, you should absolutely go with Panos. read more

I came across Panos Productions Photography while I was searching the web for a photographer for a newborn photography session the week of my expected delivery date. I had not considered getting my newborn photographed until the very end of my 3rd trimester and I knew it was pretty late to start the search for a photographer. I started noticing that most photographers were asking expecting moms to schedule in the 2nd trimester just to be safe. Fortunately, as I searched online for some local photographers, I came across Panos Photography and a link to their website. I loved all the pictures on their portfolio and liked even more that there was a lot of information about Katie (the photographer), as well as information about her credentials, policies and frequently asked questions. It was especially nice to see that Katie has experience working with children and takes working with newborns very seriously. She has newborn photography safety training and has the recommended vaccinations to work with newborns. Being a first-time parent, I think this is something that is definitely important, especially since the photographer will be handling your baby within the first few days since birth. Sooo...being that I liked everything that I saw online, I decided to contact Panos Productions Photography. I called and left a voicemail with my information and let them know that my actual due date was right around the corner (less than a week away). I wasn't sure if they would be able to accommodate me but it was definitely something I wanted to mention. I promptly received a text response from Katie acknowledging that she received my message and would be returning my call later in the day. When she called back she did let me know that they would definitely be able to work with me. She advised me that her studio manager, Simone, would be sending me additional information about their newborn studio session and once I signed an agreement, they would wait for me to notify them via email or text of my baby's birth in order to schedule the session. Simone took care of sending all the info about studio policies, agreement and invoice. The whole process was extremely easy. Simone was prompt in responding whenever I sent anything via email, which I definitely appreciated. It turned out my baby was born over a week after my actual due date. I was able to notify Simone via email of my baby's arrival and she was able to schedule me for a photography session when my baby was nine days old. The morning of the session we drove to Katie's home studio. She was very pleasant and greeted us in her driveway. The studio setup was great and she had several props and wraps ready to go. She was able to soothe, wrap and put our baby back to sleep within a couple minutes of our arrival and was ready to begin photographing. She was able to create several cute shots of him. It was great watching her set up the shots and pose our baby. My husband and I could not stop smiling the whole time we were there. Since we only booked a newborn mini session, we were only there for a little over an hour. Overall, I am very pleased with the images we received of our baby boy. I would definitely recommend Panos Productions Photography to anyone looking for a newborn photographer. Both Katie and Simone are extremely professional and were a pleasure to work with. Ok, so I never even thought to have newborn photos done of my son, but a friend gifted me a photoshoot with Katie from Panos Productions, and I have to say...I am impressed!! Not only was I surprised at how much effort and patience it takes to pose newborns, but I have to say that Katie is AMAZING at it. She was so sweet and gentle with my son and took the time to get great shots, even though he was about a week 'too old' for newborn shots. I located Katie on groupon shortly after the birth of my son in August and contacted her, luckily she had an immediate opening for the newborn shoot. The shoot went better as expected as Katie had a way with my son who was 8 days old at the time, she was able to calm him and keep him sleeping almost the entire time and as a result captured a ton of great photos. She did so well, I contacted her recently for a second shoot of my son which she recommended is done around the time he started sitting up on his own. This was done last Saturday and I was just sent the proofs and again she was able to get a ton of great beautiful shots of my happy gorgeous son. Panos Productions Photographer came to our house for a pre shoot meeting to discuss what kind of pictures we wanted. Katherine is friendly , professional and on time . She puts everyone at ease . We decided where and whom to photograph and decided to have photos done a week later. Katherine and assistant showed up time . My family and dogs behaved pretty well . Katherine even had people who normally don't smile for photos or look relaxed doing both . It didn't take long before we had some good shots and we were done .
