Dr. Mozayeni is kind and compassionate. OB/GYN is a very stressful field, but it is very apparent that she has a true passion for what she does. As both a patient and a pharmacist myself, I deeply admire these qualities. Dr. Mozayeni provided care for me throughout my high-risk pregnancy. She was always on top of things and paid a great deal of attention to detail. She always welcomed me with her kind smile, and every time she listened to my baby's heartbeat, she would smile as if it were her first time hearing that beautiful sound. My baby was born early, and Dr. Mozayeni happened to be on vacation that week. She still called me while I was in the hospital to check on how my baby and I were doing. That meant so much to me and showed how genuinely much she cares for her patients. Dr. Mozayeni is a very well-respected and popular physician in our area. My OB of 16 years recently retired so I choose see Dr. Mozayeni. She was friendly and listened to my concerns during my yearly visit. She recommended I get an ultrasound with my mammogram since I was a new patient. A month after having that done I received a bill for $763. I was told by imaging there wouldn't be any additional charges after my co pay. I've reached out to Mozayeni's office multiple times. They take nearly a week to respond. I spoke with the front office who told me she would speak with someone and to expect a call back at 3 which never happened. I understand the issue lies with imaging however the Dr. Mozayeni issued the order and has decided not to help rectify this. I won't be returning to her office due to the lack of customer service. read more

I was referred to Dr. Mozayeni by my bosses, who was referred from a coworker who couldn't stop raving about her. I initially met her in October 2022 at her Memorial Care office. She then transferred to Hoag not soon after, and I followed her over. So grateful we stayed with her the whole time! She is always so busy, but always make sure to give you all of the information you need, as well as address any concerns you have as a first-time pregnant woman. I ended up being diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and preterm contractions at 34 weeks and was hospitalized. Dr. Mozayeni came to check on me and gently walked me through all of the steps as I would need to deliver at 37 weeks. On the day of delivery, I ended up with an emergency c-section and she was there every step of the way to help make sure my healthy baby boy came into the world! It took two months to get an appointment to see her, I don't want to see her nurse, I want to see my doctor, and then 3 days before my appointment I get a call for a scheduling conflict and the earliest they can see me is over two months later...so over four months to get in to see her and only an I'm sorry...well so much for my loyalty. I had a bad experience with doctor and the office. Unfortunately, during the last month of pregnancy, I started experiencing horrible migraines and was diagnosed with diplopia. The doctor was out of the country during this time and the covering staff was so unhelpful I felt so unheard and ignored. I had to advocate for myself and no one really did anything. Thankfully I was induced early and baby was fine. During the postpartum period I was struggling with PPD. When I had my postpartum visit the person who roomed me was doing screening questions for PPD and due her comments I didn't answer honestly. She kept saying " these questions are so silly" so I felt judged. I was told I didn't have PPD but I know I did. I asked her staff for a referral to psychiatrist because I was crying everyday for no reason. I was given little resources and they didn't want to extend my disability. I had to find a psychiatrist on my own to get treated. Sadly, a friend of mine was given the proper extension so I don't know what I did differently to not receive the same care. This office is so busy you can never get through to speak to anyone. The after hours nurses are not equipped and give horrible recommendations. I will never forget, because around five years ago, due to this doctor's misdiagnosis, my life was in danger and I lost one of my fallopian tubes. She misdiagnosed an ectopic pregnancy as a uterine cyst. After five years, I think about how I got past complaining about this illiterate doctor, but I left it to God and she will answer in this world. Never trust this doctor's diagnosis, she was negligent and missed my ectopic pregnancy despite heavy bleeding for two months and two vaginal ultrasounds. When I was admitted to the hospital, I waited from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM to undergo a sex drive. This doctor came to the hospital 8-9 hours after I was admitted, and that was at the insistence of the hospital's gynecologist that day, I was in a deadly condition. How can this doctor be trusted? As a woman diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, having a child of my own was a dream. At the recommendation and support of my neurologist, I was referred to Doctors of Women in the hopes of embarking on the journey to conceive and give birth to a child of my own. I was eventually set up with Dr. Mozayeni for my initial preconception consultation in February of 2017. Her friendly, intelligent, and straightforward manner at the PCC (not to mention the fact that she had previously delivered a woman with MS) immediately warmed me up to her and to the idea that I could indeed have a child myself, albeit my chronic illness and my advanced maternal age of 37. By August 2017, my husband and I conceived, and thus the journey to carrying a successful and healthy pregnancy began with Dr. Mozayeni at the helm. She gave clear-cut guidance to my husband and me in terms of how to manage our high-risk pregnancy; from identifying our initial tests (NIPT, NT ultrasound), recommending a perinatologist, encouraging that we have genetic counseling, and ensuring that I have fetal monitoring during the final 2 months of the pregnancy. And when our daughter presented frank breech, she calmed my fears of having a planned Cesarean section and coached me to do everything I could to keep our daughter 'baking' until week 39! Empowered by her positivity and insistence to carry to full term, I made it to week 39 + 1 day and kept to our scheduled C-section. In fact, the surgery went so well, our daughter was out in 26 minutes from when I was wheeled into the operating room! Dr. Mozayeni definitely took care of me and saw that our daughter was born healthy and successfully. In fact, if I were blessed with another pregnancy, I would certainly work with her and would even consider a C-section yet again. **That one time I had my baby during a pandemic** I have been a patient of Dr. Mozayeni's for a few years now and I feel immensely blessed to have her as my OB. She was there for me when the thought of a baby seemed like just a small desire of my heart, to my miscarriage in Feb 2018 to having my first baby become my reality as of May 26th, 2020. I have always received the very best care at Doctors of Women and everyone who works there I truly believe is there to provide top care for all patients. I have never had an issue getting an appointment and they made every step of my pregnancy journey a breeze - from many authorizations for blood work + necessary tests to many ultrasounds + beyond. I didn't have to guess at all about what came next because we went through every step together. Additionally, in comparison to a few of my friends journeys - I felt the level of detail on my care was far More thorough + detailed. Everything was going great until Covid 19 happened and I think all women who planned on delivering a baby this year were instantly thrown for a loop. We didn't plan for that! But I can confidently say that Dr. Mozayeni was our guiding light to keep our anxiety about delivering, navigating a hospital etc - all at bay. She reassured me many times that my husband would be by my side through delivery and that we would not need to worry about having a space at our hospital, among other things. Additionally, she is incredibly well respected at Hoag Newport + it meant so much to me & my husband that she delivered our baby boy! She is also on of very few OBs that still perform circumcisions as well which gave this new mommy much comfort. My C-section incision is pretty fly and I've been told by my pelvic floor PT that it's one of the prettier ones she has seen. What can I say about Dr. Mozayeni? She somehow managed to calm me throughout my first pregnancy and helped me bring my beautiful baby girl into this world. As a first time parent I was extremely anxious and had 9383838 questions at each visit. Dr. Mozayeni took her time with me and provided resources each time. She walked me through each test, trimester, and helped me feel at ease in my own body and my capabilities as a new mother. I enjoyed my visits with her because she was kind, patient, and did not just treat me as a number. She is one of those doctors whom you can tell truly enjoys what she does. At the hospital she called in regularly to check on me through my 25 hour induction. She arrived to help me push and gave me the positivity I needed to deliver my baby. My interactions with Dr. Mozayeni have always been positive. She has been warm and attentive every time I've visited her office. Unfortunately, it's been her office staff that has caused so many problems for me. For that reason, I will not be returning to this practice. Examples: Showing up for an appointment and being told that the doctor had to leave to deliver a baby and therefore my appointment needed to be rescheduled. Of course I understand that she's an OB/GYN and sometimes has to leave suddenly for deliveries, but why couldn't they call to let me know that I needed to reschedule? This has happened twice. Calling the office to make an appointment or report a problem and not being able to get through. I've spent 15 minutes listening to hold music before someone even picked up. This has happened multiple times. Waiting in the office for appointments for more than 30 minutes. You're a doctor's office. Figure out how to schedule patients so that they don't have to wait. Our time is valuable too. Again, I realize that sometimes emergencies come up and doctors have to spend more time with one patient and schedules are thrown off, but this has happened multiple times. It was particularly traumatic after I'd had a miscarriage and had to spend 45 minutes watching a parade of pregnant women walk past me. I sat there crying the entire time. The receptionist saw me, but no one seemed to care. Calling to tell them I was having a miscarriage, and instead of being treated with kindness and compassion, being coldly told that the doctor isn't in today. Not, "I'm so sorry," not "Do you need to speak with the nurse?" She treated me as though I'd told her "I sneezed" instead of "I'm having a miscarriage." Patients are consumers and can make choices about their healthcare providers. I am choosing to find another OB/GYN. I suggest you do the same. read more

Pacific Women's healthcare associates Newport office is terrible for expectant mothers. I was a previous patient of Dr. Mozayeni and had a horrific experience with her and her office that no expectant mother should ever experience for her first pregnancy. Unfortunately, mine ended up in a miscarriage that followed two hospitalizations, terrible communication with Mozayeni's office and herself throughout the entire process. I had to go the misoprostol route that failed both times and landed me in the hospital twice with unexplained fever and weakness. My husband had to pretend several times that he was my doctor in order to get ahold of a doctor on call at the office or else they would have directed us to their third-party nurse who has no access to your chart or even who you are. It is unacceptable. At my last appointment with Mozayeni she LIED to my face multiple times and in front of my husband denying that she told me I could not get a D&C for 2+ weeks because the surgery center was full. Why would anyone want to go through taking misoprostol if a D&C was available within a few days and not a few weeks? She lied about the surgery center being that busy, she was not transparent about the misoprostol, how to take the medication, or that i would see my fetus come out. She said I would have heavy bleeding for 1 hour. 1 hour!!!! I had insane bleeding for days!!! She also kept speaking to me in Farsi to try to intimidate me KNOWING i have asked her to only speak English to me. After repeatedly lying to me there was officially zero trust and no moving forward with her. After all I had gone through, she had ZERO empathy for what I experienced and all of the trauma that followed. Please do not work with her she is not a good physician. read more

Dr.Mozayenni is fabulous , she is caring, listen to you carefully, and she is amazingly nice. She explains everything thoroughly and patiently. Count on at least 2 weeks before you see the doctor. Therefore, make sure you plan in advance, and call them sooner. There are few doctors in this location, and most of the time they are packed. Once she called me personally to discuss the lab result. Never had pregnancy process with her yet, but I have heard she os good. Another great experience I have had with her was when I was told I need to do surgery to remove cyst/fibroid and I went to Dr. Mozayyeni for second opinion, and she said I don't need to do it, and everything is normal, and thats how I became her patient. read more

All the nurses could not even notice the cut on her stomach after the operation, and neither could I. A very clean cut, less than 3 weeks ago, healing fast, and she has already almost recovered. During the difficult time of COVID-19, I was hesitant and nervous to go to a doctor. I found Dr. Mozayeni through my network and I am so glad I did. With my condition, I needed to see a doctor ASAP. Dr. Mozayeni was kind enough to see me and help me immediately. She was able to conduct my tests quickly and efficiently. I found out that I needed to have surgery. She was there guiding me EVERY step of the way. She made sure I was informed and comfortable. I was able to bring my daughter with me to be there before surgery. She made sure to come and answer any last-minute questions we may have. She shared with my daughter what to expect, and that she will contact her once the procedure was done. She not only called but made sure to find her after, give her a summary, and inform her of the next steps. I am now a couple of weeks post-surgery and have been going for my check ups. I first started going to Doctors of women in Feb 2019 after I found out I was pregnant with my first baby unfortunately it turned out to be an Ectopic pregnancy Dr. Mozayeni performed a successful laparoscopy and she was able to save both of my Fallopian tubes fast forward to November 2019 I became pregnant again and she took excellent care of me every step of my pregnancy, she took the time to answer all of my questions and educated me on everything I needed to know for the next 9 months. She is seriously an angel! She is professional, knowledgeable, sweet, kind and gentle. I appreciate the wonderful care she took of me to help me bring my 1st baby into the world safely. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Mozayeni! She was exactly what I needed during my pregnancy journey. I had experienced multiple miscarriages and she was so supportive and helped me through the entire process. Luckily, I got pregnant and she delivered my two babies. Being pregnant is an emotional journey and I feel so lucky to have gone through It with Dr. Mozayeni, she made the whole process so easy and such an enjoyable experience. I have always had a great experience with her staff as well. I usually only have to wait anywhere between 5-20 minutes for my appointments and if she is delivering a baby and going to run late they call and advise me of the wait or allow me to reschedule. Dr. Mozayeni is my OB and she has been wonderful. However, my follow-up appointment was cancelled due to my doctor emergency c-section without prior notice. I have to uber to get to the office due to recovery from c-section and took me 45 min to get here. The office staffs were rude and they seemed like they didn't care. They said they left a message to let me know my appointment has been cancelled. However, there is no trace of call from my cell phone at all. I requested to verify if the office had actually called, after checking, they said they didn't call at all. The office staffs just didn't care and they were just not helpful. This happened to me second time already. When there is an emergency situation, I underhand. However, it is unacceptable and unprofessional when the staffs are not meeting the expectations. read more

Dr Mozayeni delivered my daughter. During my pregnancy frequent check ups, Dr Mozayeni makes me feel that she really cares about her patients. She is down to earth, gives you honest answers, is very patient explaining information and answering your questions, and very knowledgeable. I feel extremely lucky that I found Dr Mozayeni as my OB. Among all the regular pregnancy checkups, I got to see Dr Mozayeni the majority of the time (90%+). During my 1st pregnancy with a different OB, I only saw her 10-20% of the time during the regular check up (rest was with a nurse only). I usually don't write reviews, but Dr Mozayeni deserves it. My review is 100% on Doctor Mozayeni and not the office staff: It is hard to find a good OB/GYN, but I was lucky and found Dr. Mozayeni at Doctors of Women. Some doctors may come off as arrogant and pretentious, but Dr. Mozayeni is none of those. I am always greeted with a genuine smile. Dr. Mozayeni will be delivering my 3rd child and with every pregnancy she has been very thorough and concise with the examinations. If she finds something off, she does not hesistate to send in blood work orders or other applicable testing. She is personable and takes the time to listen to your needs and concerns like a good doctor should. She is knowledgeable and caters to your birth plan needs. The wait for her is not quick, so you will wait an average of 10-15 minutes in the waiting room, but I think it's worth the wait if you find a reliable and knowledgeable doctor that fits your needs and addresses your concerns. read more

I'm a working professional and scheduled appointment in the afternoon. After check-in, the problem started. The wait went from few mins to never-ending. I have a female problem that needed Dr. Pantea's attention immediately and I called her office and told the staff it was an emergency and I was told that I could be squeezed in today at 9AM, to see her. I get to the office and was denied because ALL Doctors including mine were not available and I needed my Dr. ALL the front staff and scheduling were completely rude and have no human emotions and kept denying me and kept coming up with different excuses. I storm out of there and called the office manager and she was VERY rude as well. My overall experience at Doctors of women was great! I did have to wait a while past my appointment time, but given that it was my first time visiting this office (so I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork) it wasn't too bad. Dr. Mozayeni was very attentive to my concerns and she took the time to answer all of my questions. The front desk staff were also very helpful. Even with my insurance my prescription cost was hefty so I spent a lot of time researching for alternative options and Dr. Mozayeni's staff coordinated with the pharmacy and helped me find an alternative option at 1/10 of the original cost. read more

Dr Mozayeni was my doctor during pregnancy and didn't give me the attention and time that a pregnant woman deserves it. She or her nurse never measured my tummy and just follow the procedures that the insurance pays them. One: If you have a good insurance, you'll be a good candidate like a money machine for her to send you to all of the unnecessary expensive tests those she can be paid for reviewing the results. If you're seeing her, Be aware to say her No and don't waste your time in the labs and hospitals for the tests. Two: You may feel she's paying attention don't think she's paying attention but no she doesn't read those carefully. You can ask her a question about the results and you see she hasn't read that. Because of that she put me in a life threatening situation. Three: she's always busy and unable to manage her time. when she was busy and didn't my report and connect me to her nurse who gave me the wrong recommendations. I had breathing problems and the nurse told me that's normal takes tumms. In few hours I was in ER. While I could report their medical mistake, decided to spend my time with new baby and tell my story in reviews which would have a better impact. Please don't ruin your beautiful pregnancy moments with a doctor who doesn't care about the patients but of course pretends it. Even if you have a smooth pregnancy she'll take your valuable time for 1-1.5 hour to see you only for 5-7 minutes. If I could leave a 6th star, I would. I met Dr Mozayeni (Dr. M) in May when my wife and I learned that we would expect our first child. She has all the hallmarks of a great physician, 1) strong listening skills, 2) patient, 3) good at explaining complicated issues, 4) answers calls after hours and 5) was very calm, professional and empathetic during my wife's emergency c-section in December 2017. We were thankful that we had her and all the folks at Hoag 5th and 7th floors the week of Dec 7th- they made a very hectic and nerve wracking time much easier to stomach. I started seeing Dr. Mozayeni in 2018 when I was 6 months pregnant. I had another OB at that time but was not happy and had to switch in the middle of my pregnancy. Dr. Mozayeni and her nurses took care of me right away, in fact while I was 8 months pregnant I found a lump in my left breast and when I mentioned it to Dr. Mozayeni she took action right away and scheduled a scan/ultrasound for me. Unfortunately it was cancer. I am soo grateful to her bcoz she didn't waste any time, she called the oncologist and surgeon and set up an appointment for me the same day when we found out that it was cancer and the rest is history.
