(RN License No. 497575) and Sutter team , failed me in a way that should concern anyone who expects patients to be heard and treated with basic care and accountability. I presented with severe, persistent pelvic pain, returned repeatedly for help, and was given round after round of unnecessary antibiotics despite no confirmed infection. The ultrasound showed a thickened endometrial lining that was not called out as it should have been, and the delay in diagnosis caused real harm to my body and prolonged suffering. All of this is documented in the medical record, expert declarations, and the court filings in Alameda County. During the relevant time period, Nurse Alice Cannan was on disciplinary probation with the California Board of Registered Nursing, and that information is publicly available. If I went back six times, that should have been a sign that something was seriously wrong and that someone should have paid attention. I am only updating this because I have once again been threatened by Alice Cannan's lawyer, Denise Billups-Slone, who has gone so far as to contact Yelp's legal team. Yelp legal contacted me and told me I was within guidelines, so I am not being silenced by intimidation. This kind of response is exactly the problem: patients with honest, documented complaints are not heard, are not apologized to, and are instead threatened, buried, and pressured into silence. I am happy to discuss my experience with anyone. Please make your own decision, but I believe patients deserve transparency and accountability, not legal bullying when they speak the truth about negligent care. One would think that if a patient returns six times, someone would actually pay attention. Instead, I got repeated antibiotics, repeated delays, and repeated threats. She never overpromised, and her down-to-earth nature made me feel like I was talking to someone I had known and trusted my entire life. While we had planned for a c-section (as my first two pregnancies were), my baby decided to arrive earlier than expected. By sheer luck, Dr. Nseyo was on call that day. I paid in full at my appointment, only to receive a bill a few weeks later for over $200 for lab tests- a fee that was never mentioned over the phone or in person. I called the FPA clinic for help and have had multiple employees say they would help, and then have no follow up and changing stories with each employee I talk to. As a patient, they failed to disclose all fees and then failed to resolve the issue- mentioning responses such as "that team member who told you they resolved the issue was fired recently". Horrible care - I will be reporting the clinic and do not recommend anyone coming to this clinic. For the patients who come here and do not know how to advocate for themselves, they would unfairly be out hundreds of dollars.

After having surgery for a 10 cm cyst on my ovary last December I was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis. My doctor said I would probably need surgery again but just suggested more birth control. My symptoms seemed to have always been downplayed and my doctors were very dismissive. When I asked to see a specialist I was denied. Thankfully someone I know recommended Dr Chen and he agreed to care for me without a referral. I'm telling you this man has been a godsend to my life. He's the only doctor that has ever shown any sense of urgency to help me. He's genuine, very down to earth and easy to talk to. During my first visit I was still struggling with my recovery from my previous surgery. Dr. Chen later discovered my ovary had been damaged. I was overwhelmed physically, emotionally and just learning about endometriosis based mostly on researching online. I had so many questions and he patiently answered every one of them directly. I knew very quickly that he was highly intelligent in this field. He went over the same images that my previous doctor went over with me and the knowledge that he shared with me was so much more in depth. Not only that he was ready to take action. My endometriosis was stage 4. It had traveled into both sides of my diaphragm resulting in chronic neck pain and a stiff neck that would flare up once a month with my cycle. My organs and pelvic floor were frozen together with scar tissue and lesions causing inflammation in my stomach, hip pain, pain with sex, abnormal bleeding and fatigue. Dr. Chen performed excision surgery alongside a thoracic surgeon for my diaphragm and a hysterectomy. The day of my surgery everyone was so kind and although I was expected to stay in the hospital for two days, I was able to go home the same night. I instantly felt relief from my previous symptoms.
