I have officially pulled my son from Uplift Summit International Preparatory indefinitely due to systemic, intentional neglect by the staff. Parents need to be aware of what is happening behind closed doors at this campus. 1. Staff Are Starving Students and Restricting Packed Lunches My son has a severe, diagnosed food aversion that we have worked through therapy to manage. Because of his extreme pickiness, I explicitly communicated his needs to his teacher at the beginning of the year. I packed him a specific lunch every day with foods I knew he would eat (including Lunchables, fruit, and protein shakes) to ensure he didn't starve. I also requested they place a school lunch tray in front of him daily to help him see what other kids were eating to encourage him. Instead, he came home crying and starving every single day. When the school finally allowed parents to visit for lunch, I attended twice. Both times, staff actively stopped my son from eating his packed lunch, telling him it was "snack food" and refusing to let him eat it. Furthermore, his school account proves they completely ignored my request to provide a tray--they haven't put one in front of him since August 12th (the second day of school). They are quite literally dictating what children can eat at the expense of starving them. 2. Total Disregard for Medical and Allergy Protocols My son suffers from severe seasonal allergies that worsen from Fall to Spring. The school playground is purely dirt that gets kicked up all day. I provided boxes of KN95 masks and explicitly instructed his teacher that he must wear one during recess for his health. The staff completely ignored this medical necessity. They took zero responsibility, leaving my 5-year-old child entirely on his own to remember his mask. The adults at this school have shown an unacceptable lack of accountability for basic child welfare, safety, and medical accommodations. If you expect a school to keep your child safe, fed, and healthy, do not send them here.

The student to teacher ratio is ideal; on average, there are about 10 kids in each class. His previous school had 800 students in his whole class. At Newman, he has about 60 students in his entire class. Newman really is private school experience without the expense. Teachers are very genuine; it's really about the kids. My son's GPA went from 2.3 to a 3.4. He is involved in sports just as he was at his previous school with the exception that he is actually being coached. It's refreshing.

Poor guy, he was so depressed. All of that changed when he started going to Schelastic Academy. What a positive, safe environment it was for him. He worked hard, he persevere and grew into a wonderful young man. This school works with the kids so they feel loved and accepted. And their education programs thru the computer is self paced, but they do need to keep on top of their studies. I have enjoyed and love this school for my grandson. It will be a wonderful school to watch your child grow and achieve and grasp everything they can through Schelastic Academy.
