Incompetent Den of Thieves. They charged $750 to clear a drain that clogged the very next day and refused to return without an additional exorbitant charge. This is their "business model": try to charge over $1000 to snake a drain (we "negotiated" down to $750), then video the results and use it to pitch a $5000 dollar excavation job (that would destroy shrubs, not replace them, dig a trench, swap out a segment of pipe), even if all of that is not necessary to solve the problem. Take a look at the picture in this review, captured from their own video. They left the jobsite having cleared barely 1" inch (if that) of the 4" diameter pipe. That tiny black hole in the center is what they cleared, and all that junk above are roots that encroached into the pipe. Justin Connor, the technician, used a spade head to clear the tiny area but instead of changing the snake head to use a sawtooth root-cutter and clear more of the pipe following the video, he simply used the video to pitch the $5,000 job described above. When we talked to Justin's boss, somebody named Herman (last name not disclosed), they were completely dismissive, emphasizing they have no warranty; not one, single day. Avoid these guys like the plague. They are dishonest, incompetent thieves. The company appears to be owned by somebody named Tom Miller (ref: Georgia Sec. of State). ------------------------------------------- Update in response to owner Miller: "Once you have roots we stop"? Wouldn't it be ethical to inform customers of this practice before you take their money? "No ones [sic] sewer is worth a finger". What does that mean? These drains are not cleared by hand. Electrical snakes, their attachments and hydro-jetting are used. "There are a ton of things that we could use to remove the roots but in this case it wouldn't be cost effective." For whom? For YOU because it wouldn't enable you to take even MORE money from customers? "faking outage [sic]"? Nothing fake about it, Mr. Miller. How would you feel if a (presumed) professional took $750 out of your pocket and his "solution" failed the next day? "Hope someone else is able to service you." Someone else WAS able to do the job - clearing the tube completely -- with no excavation or pipe replacement. I think you make my argument for me. Thank you. read more

First the good....the back office was very responsive and courteous. The plumber was professional, courteous, and provided an accurate time of arrival which certainly is a huge positive. The negative....I feel like it was a constant up sell with hot water pressure regulators and a new water heater (water heater does not have any issues) that we didn't need. I went with the install only for the disposal (I provided my own disposal) and it was $450. Seems about $150 too high based on what I have seen in other recent reviews/reliable online sources for other plumbers in the Atlanta area. I found around 2:30 pm a small leak in basement from the 1st Floor plywood flooring and had been dripping on one of the ceiling tiles. After trying to determine what was going on, I call Panther's office and they could have come out the same evening, but I had to schedule it for 1st thing the next morning. Jessie called around 7:30 am and said that he would be getting to my house in Acworth around 8:15 to 8:30 am and he got here at 8:13 am. He had to drill a hole under kitchen sink & could not found a leak under the sink or on the outside wall. He finally determined that a copper pipes for the 2nd floor middle bathroom were between the den and kitchen wall and I will have to have someone professional remove my half framed paneling on this wall and then Jessie will come back out and use a camera to find the pin hole in copper pipe & repair it. He worked up an estimate for both the necessary trips & I made 50% of that estimate & will call him back when the paneling is safely removed to complete the repair. Called in to repair outdoor water faucet. When I called the woman who answered phone was pleasant. I asked if they had appointments in the evening because I get off at 430pm. She said no so I asked about weekend appointment she said yes. She stated it would be 125 dollars to Evaluate the problem if I didn't do any work. If I decided to go with the estimate The 125 would be taken off. She never mentioned a 155 dollars just to come on Saturday. Chris the one who came out Cut the dry wall to get to problem cut the copper pipe put some other plastic hose in. Took the copper pipe never sent the Receipt. I called on Monday to get the receipt and there is the 155 to come on Saturday. What a rip off watch these Guys read more

I can not recommend this crew enough! My partner and I closed on our home on a Friday morning. The following Wednesday evening our ceiling in the kitchen began leaking from below our bathroom. I put in a request to Angie's List and a representative from Cash Plumbing called me within 5 minutes. I explained the situation and he walked me through holding off the leak so that it did damage the ceiling further. He then said he could come out tonight for $200 assessment, or if we could wait until the morning to have a free inspection. Since he had already helped me stop the leak we opted for the morning. The crew arrived on time, was extremely polite, and very communicative. Each step of the way Dylan (Dillan?) helped to explain what was going on, gave me options to save money, and showed me exactly why the leak was happening. The previous homeowner had done a subpart job replacing the drain in the bathtub which caused an overflow and a leak into the kitchen below. He repaired that, then quoted me an exceptionally reasonable price to repair the tub faucet, as he saw it would also create issues in the future. He gave us a warrantee on the work, and asked to call if there were further issues. Two days later there was a small amount of water on the kitchen floor. We called and they came out right away, even though it was the evening hours. After inspecting it again, they realized that it had nothing to do with their work, or the plumbing, but that the grout behind the tub and under the faucet was not sealed properly. He gave us instructions on how to do the work ourselves for under $5, then actually grabbed a grout gun from their truck and patched it so that it would not leak. They truly stand by their work and really helped us out where we were already stressed out from being first-time home owners. Thank you Cash! read more

I called a plumber I have used before, who charged me 65.00 to come out and look at my very old water heater. I was quoted a price of 2750.00 for a 40 gallon tank. I immediately went to Home Advisor and was connected to Cash Plumbing. The kind person who took my call reiterated my belief that a charge to come out and bid on service is a bad deal. They gave me a quote of 1000.00. When the plumber arrived, (Dylan, I think?) he mentioned that I could have a 50 gallon tank for the same price. He was very knowledgeable and a joy to have in my home. I've had some pretty rotten experiences with plumbers in the past few years, so it's such a relief to find Cash Plumbing. Pretty sure I got screwed over. I am in Texas but Panther Plumbing in Georgia sent plumbers down here that could do the repairs a lot quicker than any other. I just need a 5 inch piece of pipe and a new shut off valve on the out side of my house that was exposed (not underground) . It cost me $1940.00 . Kind of understood I was asking for expedited service since it I would have to wait 2 weeks for a local plumber but that is way over the top. I am going to check with the Texas attorney general to see how bad I was overcharged. read more

Our expansion tank sprang a leak and we had water spewing from the tank and dripping down into the downstairs bathroom. We got the water turned off and started searching for a plumber. I hadn't even finished reading my Angie's List recommendations and I already had a call from Tom, the on-call plumber for Cash Plumbing. Super responsive! Then I kept calling him back with questions and pricing; he was patient and professional with every call. We set up a time for the next morning, but ended up with his coming out that same night at no extra cost. I sent him a picture of the unit to replace; he gave me a quote over the phone ($100 less than another quote) and that was the exact amount charged - no surprises. We were without water for only a couple of hours - not bad for what we thought was a going to be a much bigger deal. I highly recommend Cash Plumbing.
