That is the essence of Paris Isabella. The owner has assembled a collection of clothes that is striking, fun, versatile and seems to offer something for everyone. And prices range from very reasonable, with some excellent opportunities to purchase merchandise that has been marked down, to some a bit more pricey. She took time to help guide me through the racks and stacks of options and gave me some great items to try on that I would not necessarily have pulled on my own. She also listened to me when I described my likes - and dislikes - and made a few astute observations on her own about my preferences and personal style. There was no pressure and no effort to talk me into anything. And I walked out feeling like a winner with two new wardrobe acquisitions that are great additions. There is a great selection of jackets, jeans, tops, dresses, jewelry, separates and accessories. The woman who owns the shop is wonderful. She's clearly very particular about what she carries - everything is either organic, eco-friendly, or sourced from independent designers (she said she carries pieces from approximately 12 Etsy vendors). Pretty much every piece of clothing was soft to the touch and there was a decent assortment of colors, textures, and garments. The only downside is it felt like she was really limited in terms of multiple sizes in some of her garments. I know indie shops like this can't carry everything and will obviously run out of certain sizes or colors first, but anyway. The other thing she carries a lot of is vintage costume jewelry. I pawed through her cases (and there are many!) and lusted over a few different things. And just for a heads up, almost everything I picked up in terms of jewelry was $50 or above. It seemed like Brooches started around that price point and necklaces started around $100 for the most part. Granted I'm sure there are pieces cheaper than that, but it would have taken hours to manhandle everything she has. This isn't a discount kind of a place; it's obvious she takes a lot of care in collecting pieces that don't have missing stones or damaged hardware, and aren't some corny theme (like some of the antique shops in the area with Christmas or 4th of July things that will never sell). She also has a pretty solid assortment of vintage purses and leather pocket belts (those have a bit of a Burning Man feel to them, if you know what I mean). So, if you're not going to balk at the price of organic and independently made clothing and accessories, it's definitely worth checking this little shop out. There's a burger spot right across the street, so the limited street parking adjacent to the building could be occupied by those patrons (Perhaps on weekdays there are fewer patrons at the restaurant). There are a few spots in the back of the building which is where I ended up. I suppose you could park down the neighborhood street and walk. The selection was...underwhelming. I hate to compare businesses like this, but I frequent other boutiques with a similar target audience closer to downtown and their selections are much better. The prices feel out of touch to me, but that's not saying much. I don't like spending money. I found that the clothes weren't very size inclusive either. Would I go back? Sure. I guarantee that you're NOT what you were before. Since I can usually visually size very well, I took my friend over to Ross, and found a few different styles for her to try on. One thing I HATE about Ross is that their lingerie sections are horribly kept. It doesn't matter which one I visit, the bras are disgusting. They are never in order, they are always messed up, Finding a size is like an easter egg hunt. GOOD LUCK! But we did find a few of the sizes I suggested - I generally suggest two, different band/cup combo's because Go up a band, go down a cup, is kind of how it works. And you HAVE to try them on. Well, after 3 different ones, we found one that she liked and it was only $6.99 +tax. After that, I looked around and saw nothing I either didn't already have or nothing I wanted.
