Had been wanting to try this space for a while. Since I was out running errands I made the time. I was blessed to be serviced by the owner. What a beautiful soul, so nice to speak with him. I ordered the lokma variety; comes with eight cream filled dough balls. Two of each flavor; white chocolate with oreo crumbs, milk chocolate, lotus and pistachio. I asked him to recommend a drink and he suggested the mixed berry Red-bull mojito. This drink can also be made with sprite. Very delicious and refreshing. Presentation, amazing. My mom, my partner, and I went to Papa Chocolate yesterday. We had spent the day meandering around the south suburbs of Chicago enjoying the Cook County Forest Preserves. When we finished our walk through the woods, the idea to grab dessert popped into our minds. We did a quick search and decided on Papa Chocolate. We had three very different desserts. My mom had the straight chocolate ice cream and that was really great. My partner had a banana split dessert and I had the strawberry dessert. The strawberries were really juicy and sweet. My partner's banana split was amazing. I chatted a bit with the owner and we found out we both lived in the same neighborhood at one point in time and we reminisced about how much we missed it. I was intrigued by an Instagram photo so I stopped in to check them out. The Lokma fried infused doughnut balls were amazing. Flavors vary from Nutella, white chocolate, pistachio to lotus. They are sprinkled with chocolate, carmel or nuts. The bite is complex because you get the texture of the doughnut ball, the creamy filling and the sweet gooey sauce on the outside layered with nuts or chocolate. We tried the Oreo ice cream it wasn't too sweet which is just the way I like it. You also can order a shake or churros. Customer service was friendly and informative. There are certain areas of Chicago and Chicagoland that I don't often go to. Worth, IL is one of them. I honestly don't think there are too many places of note in Worth, IL. However, Papa Chocolate is definitely one of them. It's a super unique sweets and dessert shop that has items I haven't seen anywhere else. First, the sweets and drinks were amazing. When I was there I tried the chocolate chip cookie (a warm skillet cookie with ice cream), lokma (think donut holes with filling), mix berries mojito (non alcoholic), triple waffle and sushi crepe (a Nutella crepe cut up like pieces of sushi. I enjoyed everything, but the lokma was my favorite. I've never seen this before. They are donut holes that they fill with pistachio cream, Nutella, Biscoff cream or white chocolate. It's so cool that fry them and fill them when you order it. I also liked the mix berries mojito very much. It's a cool and refreshing drink that's perfect for the summer. Second, the service is excellent. The staff is very nice and passionate about the desserts they make. And everything that I had was made to order and was super fresh. Third, the ambiance is that of a small restaurant. There are maybe six or seven large table in the small location. I stayed and ate a good portion of food at the restaurant, and it's certainly large enough if you want to gather with friends. However, I did notice that most people took their orders to go. I sum, this is a must visit sweets and dessert shop. It's worth the drive from Chicago. read more

First but won't be the last time visiting Papa Chocolate! It was such a pleasant experience. We were greeted upon entry, and suggestions were made. The young man working apologized for some items not being available because they had just opened and the special dough is made fresh daily. Who doesn't love fresh!?!? And this gives me a reason to come back and visit to try something else off the menu. My husband ordered the triple waffle and I had the sushi crepe. While waiting for our dessert to be made, we enjoyed a scoop of ice cream. Mmmmm...pistachio. The playlist gets two thumbs up. Such a vibe! Between bites of waffle and crepes, we were snapping our fingers and joining the hook. We finished our ice cream and the triple waffle were devoured, but we did not have any more room to finish the crepe, so we brought it home to share with the little people. Wow, the Lokmas were unreal. One of the best desserts I've had. My favorite was the lotus one. We also got a crepe, but next to the Lokmas, the crepe was average.
