Normally I really don't go out of my way for vegan food-but you wouldn't know it was vegan unless you knew. Strong flavors, great taste.

The staff- There was only 1 person working, and she was SO unfriendly, and rather rude. The food looked pretty good, but it was kind of pricey. (Although I guess it is a GF bakery, but some prices were considered unreasonable.) The whole bakery itself was ok. I did appreciate how they were giving out free stickers. But overall the whole experience was mid. I don't know if I'd come back, but it was alright. read more

As someone who is dairy free, papa ganache is the best bakery in the area, hands down. I eat all the sweet treats I love and I don't feel like I'm compromising at all. I was very excited when this location opened because I have been to the other locations and love the deserts. I have been here many times and yes it is a bit pricey but you have to realize that specialty flours and such do cost more. The very fact that I can walk in and chose any vegan and gluten free dessert, makes me willing to pay more for that convenience. This time, we went to pick up some Easter treats. We chose the Cannoli cupcakes. The icing is always on the super sweet side. I enjoyed it but my mom said it was too sweet. I feel there should have been more cannoli filling but I have never been disappointed with the cupcakes or any other dessert so it was okay. Overall the cupcake was still delicious! We have tried their cake lollipops which are extremely soft on the inside and crisp with the frosting on the outside. My mom had tried many of their meals like the calzone, pasta, and quiche. The food here is very good. It is the best vegan/gluten-free bakery I've been to. The service is always kind and patient. The ambiance is peaceful. I would give it 5 stars for the type of bakery it is, but when compared to "regular" bakeries that are not only vegan/gluten-free, the "regular" baked goods are better--but that's always true of "regular" bakeries, I feel. I tried the chocolate peanut butter truffle, which was cold, rich, sweet, and delicious. I also got the maple praline cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. I thought they were both really tasty and I especially loved the dark chocolate on the cookie dough one. These desserts were also sweet and rich, and while the texture is different than a dairy cheesecake because it is made with vegan ingredients, I thought it was enjoyable. The person behind the counter was polite and helpful, and the inside is clean and cute. My husband can't eat whey products, so I'm grateful to have something somewhat local to me that is freshly and creatively prepared. I can't wait to go back and try more of their treats! read more

I've been wanting to try out their goods but hesitated because of the reviews of unfriendliness. But apparently they opened a second location closer to home so that decided it for me. I'm glad I came, because they were friendly and patient as I navigated their pastry case. We got a regular croissant, an almond croissant and four different cupcakes to sample. The croissants were a bit crunchier on the outside compared to other regular and vegan croissants that I've had, instead of flaky and crispy. But the insides were soft and layered. The cupcakes were mostly a letdown. The frosting was good on all of them but after four people trying all four, the only one that resounded was the carrot cupcake. The black velvet, crème brûlée and funfetti all had this rubbery texture to it. For six items, we paid I believe $36. read more

I have purchased baked goods there before but this apple crumb pie was for my daughter in laws birthday. We were very impressed with the amazing taste of this vegan - gluten free pie. I couldn't tell the difference between their pie and any other high end bakery pie. They also have a great selection of other beautiful baked goods. read more

Finally got to stop in this cute little bakery on my way home! The girl at the front was welcoming and helpful with all the questions I had. I chose to try the 3 layer rainbow gluten free cake cookie, and a dolce de leche cupcake. Wow how delicious and perfect the rainbow cake was! One of my favorite desserts all the time, and this one definitely hit my expectations. The cup cake was SUPER moist and full of flavor. I went in for a first time and checked out the prices for the vegan pre done food. Ridiculously expensive. I bought their version of a yodel, which seemed a bit too sweet for me. It's incredible to be able to buy a yodel, a samoa(like the Girl Scout cookie), a slice of key lime cheesecake , a peanut butter brownie, a sandwich cookie filled with icing and an iced carrot cupcake--all in one trip. The 55 dollar cake was dry, fell apart when sliced and DID NOT come as described on their website! The "cookies" on top were not the cookies I have purchased from them and loved. There was no caramel or ganache inside or on top of the cake like described. It was way too sweet because it was only vanilla cake and vanilla icing on top and filled inside the cake (gross!) Nobody could finish their tiny slice due to the sickening sweetness. The owner is incredibly nasty and a pain to deal with.. so I am not even going to attempt a partial or full refund, which is what is owed. The only time I purchased a bagel from them it was hard a a rock. When I called to ask for a replacement or refund, Lisa the owner told me "that's just how gluten free bagels are" I've been gluten free half my life. This is very untrue. I wasn't offered any compensation. When I went in to purchase cupcakes for my uncles bday, the employees were nasty and not ready to serve me an hour after opening. Nothing fresh from the delivery was put away. I asked for flavors that weren't out and was told "this is what we have" when I could see boxes filled throughout the store from their delivery. I asked about the stuff inside the boxes that had not been put in the cases yet and she said "its all the same stuff" without even checking inventory. I guess she didn't feel like unpacking the desserts. (Call me old fashioned, but if a bakery opens at 9, they should be ready to roll by 845, not treat me like I'm crazy for showing up at 10) When I went home I saw their story with all kinds of new desserts. I called the owner and she was defensive loud and rude, and again, did not offer compensation or to replace the old stale cupcakes. she said her employees have to sell the old stale cupcakes before offering the fresh. No apology no accountability. The cupcakes were stale crumbly and inedible, just like the birthday cake. If you look at the reviews foe the older locations on google and on FB, the owner never apologizes or rectifies issues. I'm not sure how she's still in business with the way she treats her customers. read more

Papa Ganache is by far my favorite gluten-free bakery/eatery in NJ. They are so beyond accommodating and the food tastes too good to be real!! I first heard about them when trying to find a gluten/dairy free bakery for my wedding. The owner was so sweet and took precautions since I also have a soy allergy. The cake was amazing and enjoyed but both gluten-free and non guests. Since then, they opened their location in Manasquan and I stop every time I visit my parents. The bagels are the BEST I have ever had gluten free. Their bakery items are also so good but what really blows me away is their food options like eggplant parm. The staff is very knowledgeable about allergies and the prepackaged items are cleared marked and labeled for all major allergies. I cannot recommend them enough! read more

This place is amazing. I am a vegan chef visiting from San Diego. I come to Manasquan a lot to see family. I was excited to try this place out and was blown away by the crazy selection of both baked goods and to go dinners and wraps. The giant chix ranch wrap with potato was so good I powered through the whole thing. My son loved the cookie monster cupcake and everyone loved the chocolate chip cookies. Came here, (for I think my third time), a week and a half ago. I was having family over and I don't allow gluten items in my home - and had no time to bake. I purchased a variety of items: cupcakes, cookies, brownie bars, cookie bars, tofu cheesecake, s'mores bars, Carrot cake loaf, lemon blueberry loaf etc. My son's girlfriend has a seed and nut allergy and the kind woman behind the counter doubled checked everything I bought for her and boxed separately to avoid cross contamination. Everyone sampled everything and my sons girlfriend really enjoyed her special box of goodies. I asked many questions, didn't feel rushed and the worker was very pleasant. We came here while staying near the beach. My friend oredred a coffee and asked for an extra shot of expresso. I don't know where the confusion started, but after paying for a bagel and coffee, the woman making the coffee pointed out that we would still owe an additional $6 because of the extra 2 shots of expresso. My friend is a barista knows their coffee. The coffee they ordered was supposed to come with 2 shots, and they asked for a one extra. How that extra shot became 2, and another $6 was not clear. This place and location are a godsend!! Being gluten free myself and with vegan houseguests I visit at least once a month and multiple times during December and Christmas week. I sadly would give no stars if I could. Soooooo disappointing. We visited the area and were excited to visit due to reading about their gluten-free goodies. I purchased 2 cupcakes, 1 brownie, 1 black & white cookie, 2 cake pops for $31 (about $5 each item). We cut into the first, chocolate cupcake with "chocolate mousse" topping. Pretty to look at but so hard that the mousse separated from the cupcake. It had an after-taste, plus way too sugary. Cut into the 2nd cupcake (strawberry) and same story. Cut into the black & white cookie - hard, sugary, not good at all. I walked back into the store to ask the worker when these were made. I learned that they don't even bake them on the premises and get the items delivered. Who knows how old the items were. Sadly, we just threw it all away. All she could say was that she was sorry. Very disappointing. Trader Joes muffins blow this place away and for a fraction of the price. Very disappointing. read more
