While the sweet treats are always on point that sweetness does not carry on your counter help! The girl who took care of my order was so rude no personality I proceed to go to the register. She rings me up and just looked at me and says you're done and I said oh where are my treats and she looks at me perplex do you want me to bring them to you? Someone sent me 2 of their "famous" crumb cakes. Born and raised in NJ, I know a good crumb cake since we had them all of the time. Mueller's is the worst I've ever put in my mouth. It's all crumb and 1/8" of cake, and none of it tastes like a "real" crumb cake. Will be throwing it out, it's that bad!! sad waste of $$ for the one who sent it. read more

Love this place, as does my sister who comes to visit from SC. It's a place we MUST go when she's here. We didn't get there until about 3:30 on Sunday and I was afraid nothing would be left. But, they was plenty to choose from. While I love their large turnovers, we got a strawberry shortcake as our dinner dessert. Everyone loved it! We also got small eclairs, cream puffs, and an assortment of Italian cookies. I only have a few of the cookies left to show as a picture as everything else was eaten (or taken home with my sister!). The nice folks at the Food Shack in Point Pleasant Beach sent us here after I admired their pork roll sandwich, which came on Mueller's raisin bread. There was about a five minute wait on a Sunday morning in mid-May -- a lot of people in the store and a lot of servers to serve them. Tried an excellent soft pretzel, two variations of their crumb cake squares (blueberry cheese and apple), a loaf of raisin bread and a large cannolo. Note that there are two kinds of raisin bread - and when I return I will stick to the smaller, more cake like variant which the Food Shack used. The larger, airier one I purchased was quite good, with a bit of sugar topping, but it is the smaller, sweeter loaf that is most crave worthy. The crumb cakes are also particularly excellent and justify a visit. Everything tastes as if the freshest, highest quality ingredients are used. The old fashioned decor and vibe add to the wholesome gestalt. read more

Sent items in March and 2 arrived in 3-5 days but a third order arrived yesterday 4/14- arriving 21 days after sent date. Easy online ordering system, cake was prepared as requested and very tasty! Only downfall, I selected strawberry inside and it barely had 1 single cut up strawberry. It was maybe 3/4 tiny pieces in the center. I drove all the way from ocean grove to buy an entire crumb cake that costs $18. A few years ago a fellow employee used bring them in. They were double the size and soft melt in your mouth crumbs and cake. This was flat, stale and small hard crumbs . What a shame it was nothing like in the past. NJ was known for this crumb cake I have had much better! I will never go back or recommend. We gave it away to a neighbor ! read more

Mehhhhh. The coffee was not good and the cup was scalding. The cheese ring was 8 out of 10, a tad bit too sweet. My husband said the powdered jelly donut was "awful". My daughter loved the small tie dye rainbow sprinkle cookies. Will probably return just for the cookies. read more

I love this spot for their sugar cookies - it's nostalgic and reminiscent of the cookies I had growing up. I've also tried a few of their pies and cakes, and they're quite good. When it comes to service, this is a local shop and extremely busy, especially during the summer months. Therefore, their line is insane and when they call your number, there is never really time to properly browse what they have to offer. If you try to browse before your number is called, as you should, it feels a bit too crowded and unseemly to try to poke towards the front and see the display cases properly. read more

We love Mueller's coffee cake! We bring it to my great-grandmother's house every year. This week, we celebrated my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary, and we bought a cake from Mueller's for the party. It was a beautiful design (see attached picture!), and was topped with a delicious, fluffy whipped cream. The cake was a hit! Everyone came back for seconds. When we came in today (July 13) to buy coffee cake, everyone on the staff were very friendly and the line moved quickly. After hearing from my sorority sister who works there about it for 15 years I finally visited and damn was it worth the wait! For the crumb to cake ratio alone! They also sell the crumbs by themselves which I highly recommend you microwave and put on top of ice cream! I also got a petit four which tasted like a love match between marzipan and cake dipped in gorgeous icing. I also got a brownie which was similar to the petit four in how moist, light and flavorful it was! I would love to go back and try absolutely everything! I was in Bay Head for 3 days and I went to Mueller's Bakery every day. So much variety to choose from, had to go back every day to try out all their specialities. The bakery had lines every day we went. It moved pretty quickly though. Like more places, mask is required to be worn prior to to entry. The crumb cake was pretty nice - it was different and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ended up bringing a slab back to NYC as apparently it freezes well. My other favourites are the chocolate eclairs and the blueberry custard in a pastry topped with powdered sugar. Those were sooo good. Prices are pretty decent - definitely cheaper than city prices. Each purchase was nicely boxed with love. Cash and card are accepted. Will definitely be coming back here next time I am in Bay Head. read more

Terrific bread, pastries, and pies. We grabbed a Key Lime pie to bring to a party in Manasquan, and it was well received. Prices are fair, given that it's in $$$$ Bay Head, loads of parking across the street, and the staff behind the counter keeps the inevitable lines moving quickly. A NJ shore classic! Ok, yah, I'm a fan but on this fifth trip to Jersey shore this season, I stop by to pick up 4 or 5 different specialty items. Since It's blueberry season, I tried the blueberry flats, the blueberry crumb cake, the blueberry fritters and the blueberry strudel. I read on FB the bakery offered these challah bread pretzels powdered in cinnamon sugar and excited to try them. So disappointed in them (see photo)! They were baked on one side but underside was burnt and couldn't see that on display rack. I love sweets and we walk there while in town. Drove about 45 minutes just to get these frogs. Nostalgia for me. We used to get these every year for St. Patrick's Day but you can't find them around here anymore. Albeit long, Mueller's is offering a stellar delivering service during COVID-19 phase 3!! Their website is very clear, and warn customers that if you order delivery Fri-Sun (and you live in a 10 mile radius) you will receive your goodies the next day. MY Mueller's order was (eventually) hand-delivered to me in Sea Girt by 2pm the next day!! Prior to this delivery, I had never tried their blueberry scones!
