Viking pizza on cauliflower crust. Literally magic.
    Matt F.

Visited the area from Atlanta recently and a friend recommended Papa G's for the Viking on cauliflower crust. Enjoyed with a friend on a perfect weather evening, with a couple excellent craft brews and sat on the patio. Staff is helpful and friendly, and the pizza and dough bites were the best thing I've eaten all month. The cauliflower crust is magic and likely involves culinary sorcery - I would order this crust without question every time. Crusty, thin, light, and lets the fresh ingredients shine through. Thinking about it more: this is the best pizza I've eaten in decades. Maybe my life. Looking forward to visiting again. Well done, the pizza wizards of Papa G's!

Good pizza, friendly staff, beautiful patio. Grab and go style. Fairly priced. Cheaper if you pay cash.

Happy to return to Papa G's Has been a little while. Was way to cold out last time (ate inside then - which is a nice option). Beautiful weather - dined outside. Nice little outdoor area. Pizza thin crust (and... For thin crust) very nice. Some of the best McLean area thin crust. Price is reasonable Beer/wine/wine cooler options

    Hummingbird feeder on the patio

The pizza is good. Not the best ever but it's fresh, hand tossed and not chain pizzeria variety. The employees are super friendly and nice. The dining area is small and cozy. The patio is so nice. Umbrella tables, garden planters with herbs and vegetables are around the border. They even have a hummingbird feeder out there. I gave an extra star just for the atmosphere.

Small building - nice and clean inside

We have heard quite a few good things about Papa G's, so we decided to give it a try. Not too much in the Downs downtown area, so it won't be hard to find. Nice and clean on the inside - there are 3 tables (seating for 3 @ each) to eat in. There is also a tv to watch. Just a heads up - no delivery. We ordered 2 16" pizzas - one a specialty - and it was right under $34. The pizza was quite delicious. The crust was very good and the sauce was just right. It was a touch greasy, but most pizzas are right? Would definitely order again!

Too thick of sauce never consistent on taste! They're great about letting you know when orders ready but that's all!

Stone cooked pizza is the best! Their dough nuggets are wonderful! I would definitely recommend this hidden gem!

"Go to" place for a pie. To heck with chain pizza places. Worth the trip from Bloomington. Or LeRoy.

In my optinon: the burger options are creative and exciting while the fried pickles were perfectly crispy. If you're in Bloomington and staying at the Double Tree, this is a great option! - AD

I did not know this prior to making our trip to Bloomington and then navigating the fam bam all the way there only to be disheartened when I saw this. Given the parents were older and past their lunch time we decided to say what the hell and stop in! If you're thinking this DON'T! This place is pure garbage! I think the only moisture in from the entire set of food we got was from the condensation of the shitty water the waiter brought! I got the bacon burger and the thing was like jerky, literally one single piece of bacon broken in half was placed on the top! No flavor no moisture, there was supposed to be candied jalapeños on top, there was literally hold on let me count......2!!!!! I asked for a side order of them so actually make this a spicy jalapeño bacon burger and the waiter responds with, sorry we're slammed right now, and the cooks would have to make them. They were mildly busy, and if the cooks would have done their jobs correctly in the first place this wouldn't be my problem. The whole thing was a shit show from the time it took to order and pay to asking for extra jalapeños that they couldn't do! Skip this place if you have a palette, even the old folks we were with that enjoy things as sad as dried meatloaf were not impressed! That should clue you in, this place isn't there for good food, it's there for expensive convenience to prop up a sub par hotel!
