    Meat lovers skillet with toast
    Donna B.

First time dining here based on a recommendation by a friend. They're a very popular place because the parking lot was very full. Quite busy inside, but we were seated quickly. Our server was very nice and took our orders; I ordered the meat lovers skillet while my partner ordered the Hawaiian omelette with hash browns. We both got the toast with our meals. These dining area was nice and spacious and clean. Our food arrived quickly and it was very delicious. Personally I felt my skillet needed a little extra seasoning, I'm not one to add extra salt to my food, but I felt it needed some help. We both enjoyed our meals and would come back again.

This is our first time visiting Tony's Diner, though we have passed it many times since moving to Bloomington last month. We were very happy that we did. I had the Cod Sandwich with Fries And my wife chose the Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes. Both were delicious. Our server provided a great experience she was both friendly and very efficient.

Average diner food. The gyro skillet was fine. The biscuits and gravy was a powder pack mix. The Hollandaise sauce was a powder pack mix with too much lemon. The bacon was under done so you need to definitely ask for it well done. The pancake was good. The coffee was fine.

Nice diner atmosphere, exactly what I wanted. Salad wouldn't order again, instead Id go with the soup. Was looking for a light meal.... Didnt get that, not a bad thing tho, tasted good and hope to make it back in the future.

Went to breakfast here with Jr. The place was packed. Always a good sign. I ordered a waffle combo. Jr ordered a gyro omelette. We really enjoyed it. Yummy! Our server was pleasant and quick. We will be back!

Great and friendly service and good food, what else can you ask for. The restaurant is bigger on the inside than you would think and very clean. The deluxe meal comes with fries and a cup of soup. I got the cream of cabbage soup and my partner got the other soup of the day which was beef barley. They both were served hot and tasted delicious! The pizza burger was big and tasty and so was the turkey triple decker club. I love fries with a coating like these had. They have Pepsi products which is great with me. I am glad the waitress asked about refills a lot because it is $2.99 for a drink. The prices are right in line with every other restaurant and diner like this one. The menu is huge and there is lots to chose from. I highly recommend trying this place out!

Ok but not great. Food was adequate and waitress was nice. Just was average. We were there 1:30 so no dinner rush.

The food is very good and the service is excellent. It does get a little noisy when the place is full, so it can be hard to visit.

We decided to go with the rustic pizzas that were delicious and unusual: harmony, Korean, chicken and loaded supreme. The crust tasted like it was from a woodfired oven and the Korean chicken pizza was so unusual and tasty with kimchi and pickled shiitake. The fresh from the forest mushroom side dish they gave us a special treat to us was quite a delicacy. Even the farm to table items they have for sale when you walk in to take home are a treat, Especially the homemade marshmallows! Ended with dessert of a fresh orange olive oil cake with just tremendous flavor and blood orange on the side and orange marmalade on the cake. It served exquisitely with a side of homemade ice cream that was to die for. We can't wait to come back! Our waitress, Lupe, treated us like family and was incredibly personal and warm. Put this on your must visit List.

We started with the sashimi plate. The fish was fresh- including tuna, salmon, shrimp- placed over small celery bites. A variety of sauces were dotted around the plate's edge. The dish would have benefited from some ginger and more sauce. Our entrees included Pork Coppa Ramen- which was a solid dish- strong beef broth flavor and the sambal (chili sauce) -a few cents extra- added a good depth of flavor. The fish bowl- tuna, salmon- with rice, pickled veggies, and gim (Korean seaweed) was tasty. It was even tasty the next day cold out of the fridge. Our server Jack did a nice job- we sampled their roasted carrots- and they were actually our favorite bite. We also had the potato graten and they were tasty- but could have been easily skipped with our Asian dinner vibe. The restaurant has a great eclectic historical vibe and was busy on a Friday night, but still felt spacious. The drink menu is a good selection- we enjoyed wine with dinner (a solid Pinot noir). I would definitely go back to have the pizza- which looked delicious at a couple of the neighboring tables. This is a great date night venue or girls night out.

That said, nothing here blows me away taste, or service-wise. I've never had a bad meal or service issue here either. I considered a demerit this time around for the current prices, but frankly it's the same way everywhere, esp for bfast. The biggest downside is probly the ambiance, which is more on the noisy side based on it being a pretty large place these days and still pretty popular. I can't comment on lunch or dinner because we've never tried it, but the place prized brunch spot mostly by folks middle-aged and up (with more families/kids on the weekends) for its all-around consistency.

I think it's supposed to run thru the month of Nov anyway. A quick first impression food-wise was breakfast-based - essentially bacon and sausage, egg and cheese on a softer English muffin with a (bit too) sweet tomato jam on both muffin halves. It WAS tasty with the tomato jam as the differentiator. I woulda preferred the bacon be turned into bacon jam instead but unique for sure. The accompanying hash browns were buttery and well seasoned but shoulda been left to crisp another minute. Coffee and the atmosphere were perfectly fine as the Mexican fiesta music upon entry was a bit loud and replaced with softer classic rock after 15 mins or so. I'll be back to try the tacos soon.
