A nice local Hong Kong cafe. There aren't a lot of Hong Kong cafes in Mississauga, so Papa John's bakery is a much appreciated establishment in Mississauga. It's always very busy here, and parking in the plaza is hard to find, but once you find your way into the bakery, you're hit with a smell of baked goods and HK breakfast staples. The food here is quite good, and the prices are reasonably fair (a bit on the higher side). There is an open kitchen concept, and they sell lots of baked goods ! I like the place, and I've been here several times and I'll come again

We were craving for some HK style milk tea while vacationing in Toronto/Mississauga and stumbled upon this place and boy it did not disappoint. The place has a good amount of seating. You order in the front and they bring the food to you. They have some pretty unique bolo bao (pineapple bun). We got the bolognese & satay beef bolo bao and they are massive! So make sure you're hungry if you get it. The pineapple buns are soft and delicious, the bolognese & satay beef are a bit salty but still good. But I have to say the star of this place is their HK milk tea. It's smooth & not bitter at all. The plus side is you can add your own sugar. This is one place I would visit frequently if I lived in Mississauga.

I got there near closing time thinking I would be out of luck but they still had a good selection. The Pineapple bun is the best I have had in a long time if not ever. The bread is soft and fresh and the topping stays and is tasty and slightly crunchy. The curry beef bun was also big and good. I got a Hong Kong milt tea which did not disappoint. It was so strong it knocked me out and I had a good nap! Lol! Whoever said this is an authentic Hong Kong style cafe was right. Thanks for the recommendation!

If you're looking for a Hong Kong-style cafe (known as a cha chaan teng) in Sauga, don't miss out on this hidden gem spot! It's located in a small plaza and doesn't have fancy decorations, and only has one staff working the cashier. I first found them when using the "Too Good to Go" app, and originally thought they only sold buns or cakes. I've tried their pineapple buns before, which are huge and delicious. Meanwhile, they also serve meals. This time we went for lunch and ordered the HK signature dishes: French Toast, beef macaroni and curry beef brisket rice. The French Toast is filled with peanut butter and served with butter and syrup. It may sound heavy, but it tastes great and you won't be able to stop eating it. The beef macaroni and curry beef brisket both come with a lot of beef. Hong Kong-style curry isn't spicy, but I think the sauce is quite light and a bit watery. Lastly, all meals come with a drink. I chose my favorite Hong Kong-style milk tea. They also have HK-style baked rice and all-day breakfast options. I would say they are very reasonably priced and one of the best spots in Sauga. Please note that they don't open for dinner, and on some days they close at 3 pm.

We used to go to Papa John's for lunch with friends but stopped going because they raised their prices by 50% and they cut back on the ingredients in their food (meat in noodles, filling in buns). It's unfortunate because their food was tasty

Yummy bakery near Toronto. Picked it up on my way to visit Niagara Falls. Well worth the small detour to pickup some fresh buns. The pineapple bun was delicious. The top was crispy and sweet and the bun was pillowy soft. Even eaten the next day, the bun was still decent quality. There's some seating inside and the staff were very friendly. There's a good sized parking lot right outside the bakery, I would go back just to eat the fresh buns!

A lovely Chinese bakery, one of the few left in Mississauga. Opened by two young bakers right in the heart of MIssissauga. Cash preferred. Debit and credit card have extra fees. This is a regular place for my family! Been coming here since they first opened! They are not only a traditional Chinese bakery with buns and Hong Kong style milk tea, but they have small dining room for cooked Cha Chaan Teng menu as well. It's a casual atmosphere and it's always packed with regulars. Highly recommend their buns and milk tea. Milk Tea is the best here. They do tend to steep it longer. So it tastes amazing as cooled or request extra milk.

Great hidden gem bakery but a full restaurant, always freshly baked buns with so many sweet and savoury varieties, lots of places to sit tv is on and always quick attentive staff. Perfect for breakfast or lunch, but lots of the buns sell out so get there early.

After the very disappointing tiramisu cake two weeks ago, I immediately called to switch my birthday cake to a cream based cake (Papa John's does cream cakes surprisingly well). Definitely glad I did, as my mocha cake turned out delicious! The cream was nice and light, and there was quite a strong coffee flavour. I found it to be the perfect strength of coffee taste. The cake base was very spongey and airy. Overall, I was pleased with the cake, and found it very well done this time. I've always loved Papa John's, and now I know to stick with cream cakes if I don't want to be disappointed!

This is my go to place for a quick inexpensive breakfast / lunch. I reviewed this place when it first opened and I feel that it deserves a revised rating. This place has been upping their game. The buns are good and I always come for the milk tea. I also like how they have expanded the menu to include noodles, omelette, sandwiches, etc. Now don't expect to be taken to your seat by a waitor or anything, and when you are finished your meal, you are expected to put them away yourself. It is just a casual eatery, but it ranks high in my books as far as casual eats go. I occasionally come here when I drive back into Mississauga. If you do come here, try the pineapple croissant bun.

I've been looking for a good Hong Kong style cha chaan teng (café) in the Mississauga area and I think this is the closest I've come so far. I love a fresh boh loh bao (pineapple bun) and a hot lai cha (milk tea). That's exactly what I ordered here and I was not disappointed! The pineapple bun had a sweet, crumbly, crunchy crust with a soft, fluffy inside. Hong Kong style milk tea is not as simple as tea and milk. It has its own unique taste and texture and they do a great job of it here! It has a good tea flavour, it's creamy and sweet but not too rich and overly sweet. The café itself is very casual and reminiscent of the one's in Hong Kong where the furniture and decor is chosen for practicality rather than design. The buns are a little more expensive than other HK style cafés but also a little bigger in size. I tried a curry bun as well and it had generous amount of filling. I'm definitely going to make this a regular stop for milk tea and buns!

Finally found an amazing Hong Kong Bakery that is right around the corner from where I am! At first glance, the store is dark and doesn't look like a bakery other than it being in the name. If you did not know what this place is, you would assume it would be an Italian restaurant. Once you walk through the doors, its like entering into another world. A world where older Cantonese people like to congregate. The parking at this location is small and plaza like. There are is limited parking but because the plaza is not busy, it is easy to get a parking spot. In the store itself, the left side of where the baked baos are, the middle back is the cashier and the right side is where you pickup kitchen orders. The dining area and is limited to roughly 20 people approximately. For the buns, they range from 1-3$ depending on what you purchased. They are a bit more expensive then what you may be use to but they are larger then other HK bakeries. There are many different buns from BBQ pork to curry buns to pineapple buns. If you purchase 6 buns, the order is tax free which is similar to other Chinese bakeries. At the cashier, you can purchased some lai cha. They have 4 sizes from S - XL. The cashier will make it for you and serve the lai cha to you! The lai cha is not to sugary and it is well balanced. If you're interested, you can purchased a combo of a drink and a butter pineapple bun. It looked like a big slab of butter between the pineapple bun but it is a reasonable price of $4.05

Cakes are pretty solid, though expensive, but its a good cafe for casually meeting friends without having to go to a full restaurant. I don't think I'd buy a full cake here, because the cakes aren't bakery/patisserie level good, but a slice here and there is ok. Their app is great as they have regular offers, and the pickup process is smooth. It'd be nice to see them change up the cake flavours now and then or to try something more unique. The existing lineup is not bad, but still plays it pretty safe / are classic flavours. As for the cakes themselves, blueberry chiffon is my favourite because I enjoy a more typical blueberry flavour, then the blueberry yogurt, and the red velvet. Most cakes are light, not too sweet (exception is the red velvet as its cream cheese), but all were fresh and a good portion size too.

A lot of items are prepared in central kitchen and delivered to locations. Lattes are comparable in price to most cafes BUT they are made of powder sugar mix. I watched them pour a sugar matcha powder into the cup and the chai latte yet again from a sugar powder mix. I was really hoping the drinks were hand crafted for the price point :(

In late July, our team had a summer event at Claw Land, which Yelp also introduced me to. I suggested that we come to this cafe afterwards for a drink. It was a seven-minute drive away. This cafe's entrance is on the left of Foodie North. There was lots of parking outside. I drove two of my colleagues over here. We got out of my car and walked in. It was nice seeing a couch and more seating. It was all moved out for our Yelp event less than a couple of weeks back. The Yelp event indicated that we'd vote for a new drink that would be permanently on the menu. I decided to ask the two women behind the counter whether the aurora pêche (sparkling peach) drink was available yet. They looked clueless. They looked at me as if I was not an earthling. I guess not. I hadn't lost my mind. Jane, the owner, wasn't there. She would have known. There were Yelp-branded glasses on the bookshelf, so this event wasn't a figment of my imagination. There were eleven of us. One of my friends got the Oreo ice cream milk tea. He loved it. I got a large peach strawberry oolong tea (no sugar and less ice) with coconut jelly. It was excellent. It hit the spot after a fun time playing claw games. My other friend got a mango green tea. She was so happy with this drink. Yay! It was nice that everyone on the team loved what they had ordered. My manager tends to trust my judgment and got the same drink that I did. No complaints. Nice! My other colleague ordered a mango coconut milk tea with coconut jelly. She loved it so much that she ordered another one and three other teas for her family before she left. Wow! If you need to use the washroom, you head over to Foodie North next door. It was clean. The eatery was also cool to peruse. This place accepts debit and credit cards. We had a great time caping off our summer work event here. It's a good cafe to get bubble tea and more, and hang out. Located around back from Foodie North, this bbt place is also connected to the Chinese restaurant…read more After speaking to Jane, the owner, Meeko Meeko has been opened since January. It seems to have a flow of students as they were offering a studen special. I don't frequent bbt places because I find it pricey, PLUS I'm not a fan of fake fruit powders or tea mixes. Instead, I prefer to make my own at home with actual tea leaves/bags. However, after speaking with Jane, she told me that her tea is actually sourced from Taiwan and the coffee she sourced is from a local, Toronto roaster. So both tea/coffee options are legit. After some discussion of what I was in the mood for, I took Jane's recommendation of the Creme Brulee milk tea. This custard topping is also made in-house with actual vanilla beans. And Jane took the liberty of not adding any extra sugar to the tea itself as the topping already contains sugar. Overall, if I were to stop for bbt, I'd opt for Meeko Meeko as opposed to other places esp those big chains. I prefer to support local, small businesses AND the quality of the product is better!
