I stumbled upon this establishment while venturing to the Greyline Station for the Wednesday…read moreevening Farmer's Market. If you're not familiar with the Greyline Station, it's a former bus depot which has been transformed into a miniature mall of sorts, with numerous vendors located inside, and I had read a sign that they hold a Farmer's Market on Wednesday evenings from 5:00-7:00 pm. The facility has an accommodatingly large parking lot with plenty of spaces. Nowwwww, to the REAL reason for this review! Once I parked and exited my vehicle, I smelled the most amazing fried chicken, and immediately searched for the source of such an enticing aroma. As I walked towards the building, I saw two nice gentleman sitting outside of the building, near a sign that said Wing KYng, and AHA, SCORE, I found the source of the wonderful fried chicken aroma! Those two gentlemen happened to work in Wing KYng. I told them once I procured my one sought out item in the farmer's market inside the building, I would be returning to procure some of that chicken. Upon my return to Wing KYng, I began asking my typical questions: do they have anything gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and egg free? The staff member was very knowledgeable and advised me that the dry rubs were my best option. I have a myriad of food sensitivities, so I browsed the dry rub options available, and chose a 6 piece chicken wings with Lemon Pepper dry rub. O M Goodness!!Fabulous is the first word to come to mind! The skin was so delectably crunchy, the chicken was moist and tender, and the flavor was perfectly balanced! The cost was $12.00, which is a great price in my mind for the best fried chicken I've had in a good many years. Although I cannot speak to these items, they offer a wide variety of flavors, dips, and Parmesan coated home cut French fries as well. I witnessed one staff member actually cutting the potatoes for the French fries. Truly nice folks work here, and the chicken was phenomenal!!! I will be returning here for sure!

Such delicious wings. It can be a little hard to decide, based on the dry rubs, mixes, and names…read more The potatoes are always so nicely sliced and loaded with garlic. Food can take a little longer to come out especially if the line is a little longer (they get pretty slammed at times). But it's fine since you can just hang out or wander around Greyline.

The service has been slipping, the food hasn't been up to par either. Today we stopped by for a late lunch/early supper and there was only one other party in the dining room. We were seated back to back in adjoining booths. I understand ergonomics and servers don't want to walk all over the building for their tables, but every party seated after us was almost in direct contact. We heard everything they said, they could follow along with our discussions, it was too much. You have dozens of tables and we're seated like lifeboats tied together after a shipwreck. The order of LaRosa's appetizer Rondos arrived with the server telling us she dropped one on the floor so the kitchen crew was going to make us another one. It arrived with our check right before we left. When ordering my wife gave our pizza order, the server asked what kind of crust. My wife said "just the regular crust like the old fashioned LaRosa's pizza." The server said "oh, hand tossed." I nodded and said I guess so. She brought us a pizza with an almost deep dish depth crust. My wife was visibly disappointed and server said "what's wrong?" My wife said "that's a thick crust. I wanted a regular pizza crust." Our server said "oh you probably wanted THIN CRUST" and that was it. She left. The manager walked by and I asked politely "excuse me, is this really a hand tossed crust?" I got a look like maybe he knew why I was asking. He said "yeah, that's what that is." So I said, "we are waiting on some rondos because our first order got....dropped?" He casually said "they're working on it" and left. We grew up going to LaRosa's in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky and it was always great, and the Dry Ridge location used to be good, too. But I won't be going back. If you want LaRosa's go further North. This place is not worth a visit.

Not a fan of Franchised Pizza restaurant since they all pretty much taste the same but if I would…read morehave to pick one or two from them Snappy Tomato would be one of them. One of the reason for it is because they have maintained the simpleness and for me sometimes less is more. A quick example is their garlic bread, Love them, why?! because its pretty much that! butter, garlic on a good bread, maybe with a little seasoning on top and done, If you get them with cheese then even better but again they make it with a moderate amount of cheese so that you can still taste the garlic bread below, not like other places that just cover everything with layers and layers of cheese, which look great but you end up with exactly that, just cheese. The employees in this spot are really nice and welcoming. Everything looked clean and they have never missed anything on the orders, which is something that drives me crazy from other places like for ex. Papa Johns which have a tendency to not give Marinara sauce with their breadstick sides and you have to end up eating them with the garlic sauce they give away with the pizza. If you are in the area, try them, they are pretty good.
