Ordered a Large Works pizza at 6:38pm for delivery at Home2Suites. Door Dash is used for delivery and calls saying they picked my pizza up at 7:13 and are on a dirt road looking for my hotel. I cancelled my order at 8:40, 2 hours after ordering. Then door dash driver knocks on my room door at 9:03 pm. WTF?? And don't overlook this places health dept score of 75!!! 1star only cause I have to leave one. This location in Hinesville, GA is less than 5 miles from my house, Dominos which is further down the road delivers here. Now when calling papa John's it goes to a call center not even located here in the Hinesville, GA area. Just on Monday a house around the corner had a delivery; but today when I called and gave the lady my info she stated I'm out of their delivery area; again how can that be when a house on my street just had a delivery. It took over an hour to get our order. When it arrived the driver was missing our pizza. He said he would run back to the store and be right back with it. After waiting another hour we called the store and they said the driver had not returned back to the store yet but that they would send it out as soon as he got back. After waiting another 50 minutes we called again. They said he was on his way with it. They did say they would refund the pizza. I stated we didn't want to eat a 3 hour old pizza. Jessica stated if we wanted a fresh pizza it would be a long time before they could get it to us. I asked for a corporate number and the "manager" Jessica said she did not know it but that I could probably look it up. This is our second time ordering from papa Johns the first time our pizza was missing a topping. This last time, because after this mess it will definitely be the last time we order from this location, the pizza came looking like it went on a roller coaster before arriving at our door. Might be faster to grow harvest then make your own pizza. Don't order on fridays or Saturday's wait time exceeds 100 mins. I just had the most horrible interaction with the manager of the Papa John's in Hinesville, GA 533 W. Oglethorpe Hwy, 29 Jul @12:30. This Lady, since she wouldn't let her worker give me her name on my 3rd call, was absolutely rude and unprofessional from the get go. She didn't want to hear anything I had to say or cared about what I needed - she hung up on. me. So I called back - she got the same energy-Then she nastily refused to serve me and hung up on me again because I said "I still want f-ing pizza today." I didn't curse at her or called her outside her name. So I called back again- they placed me on hold for a minute then one of the workers answered finally- much more respectable - but you can hear in the background talking a whole lot mess..we not serving her, we not delivering to her, and we doing nothing for her the entire time I was on the phone...I just wanted her name - she don't have to worry about me ever coming to that Papa John's - I don't trust her to do or make anything for me. But I do work on Fort Stewart / I am retired military and I'm going to tell anyone that ask me anything about Pizza - "To avoid that place". The Good: The food from this location had always been fresh and hot. The deliveries have come before the estimated delivery time. The delivery drivers have all been very polite. The Bad: My delivery order has not been correct even once from this location. The Ugly: When I called to ask for a refund of a small item that was not correct (but was the whole reason I chose to order from this establishment), the attitude of the lady who was supposed to help resolve my issue was horrible. Great service! We ordered two medium pizzas that were almost an hour late so when we called to see when our order would arrive they said there was a mix up and delivered us the pizzas for free! When they answered they immediately said "Papa John's, could you please hold" and within milliseconds they put me on hold with me giving them answer. i ordered wings and by the time i showed up to pick them up they were ready for me. that was very surprising since i ordered them online about 5 minutes before. i live close to the hinesville location and it was almost 10pm. so there was almost no traffic. i actually was behind a papa johns delivery driver most of the way there. in any event, i walked in and was told they wings were just put in the box. i paid and left. they were for my wife. but, i had a couple. it was a total let down like their pizza. the wings were like they were barely cooked at a factory and flash reheated in the oven and then tossed in weak sauce. they were ordered as buffalo wings flavor. the consistancy was fatty, sort of chewy skin and slightly above luke warm. they cool like that when they are frozen, then heated quickly and not long enough to reach the bone. where the bone is basically still frozen and cools the meat from the inside out. causing it to cool quicker than intended. the sauce was not really spicy either. if you buy farm johns frozen buffalo wings flavored wings. those are spicy. so, after trying papa johns pizza back in southern california, where im from and their wings out here. i will never buy anything from papa johns again. their food isnt cooked good enough and sauce has no real flavor. the pizza sauce tastes like they open a can of generic plain spaghetti sauce and apply it to the crust. it needs italian seasoning, powdered garlic, powdered onion, and olive oil. that will tune it up and give it a bold italian flavor. the wings need to be deep fried to make them a little crispy and then tossed in a sauce with a few drops of ghost pepper sauce. that will make the wings more like spicy buffalo style. what im saying is get someone in there that has taste buds and can make flavorful food. or your sales will keep dwindling. read more

Ordered from there twice in the past month. Both times pizza was excellent and delivery service was polite and prompt.

First let me say The young lady that answer the call was so pleasant. But when I got my order the wings were burnt black and I did not get the sauce I paid for. When I called to complain I spoke to the manager and was told I would have to wait for an hour and when I asked if I would be compensated for their error was told no unless I paid for it. My point is it's is there fault my family will now have to wait an additional hour and they cannot even apologize. Heck McDonald's even offers you a free drink or a pie. read more
